All right, after getting... oh, 500 or so comments about this, let me clarify my "vaping" line. Many are pointing out that the deaths that made such a splash in the media were from black market THC cartridges and not nicotine cartridges. That's a fair point. I didn't put a lot of rigor into my research on that, because that wasn't the point of the video. It wasn't even the point of the line, I was simply arguing that today we use stimulants as much as we ever did. So I suppose that was a bit of a boof on my part, but this isn't some kind of anti-vaping video, I don't care if someone wants to vape, I'm sure it's far better than smoking - I've even done a little of it myself. Now, let's go back to laughing at the dumbass who spilled wine all over himself.

Fun fact: my dad thought Coca-Cola still had cocaine in it in the modern day. He was somehow convinced that the Coca-Cola Company was legally allowed to purchase cocaine, and that they used it in their Coke recipe, but just not as much as in the old days.
They still use the cocoa leaves for flavouring, but they have to process the active cocaine out of it. So it does have cocaine, at first, but then it's extracted.

😂🤣😂🤣 Joe, this video was fantastic! I loved the back n fourth with yourself in the beginning, but my favorite was the wine/cocaine commercial hahahaha 🤣🤣♥️♥️♥️
I've read some articles published in medical journals advocating for legalizing the coca leaves. Apparently in Peru and the area, people carry several around with them and just chew bits of them all day. The amount of actual cocaine in the leaves makes it about on par with drinking coffee, as far the high and increased energy. If I'm not mistaken, the thinking was that the experience was similar enough to cocaine but with such reduced risk that it would lower illegal cocaine use by a large percent. I can see that, personally. Just thought I'd mention that.
I lived in Corpus Christi when hurricane Harvey hit. Later that year in 2017, it literally snowed enough to blanket the streets. I'm convinced some of it was coke.

Coca leaf tea is still VERY popular in South America. The leaf itself is legal and chewed with other plants to activate the drug. The coca tea is mild, but does stimulate and as many locals will tell you, helps with altitude sickness. It's even legal in Chile, which does not grow any coca leaves...
coca cola is now the only us company allowed to import coca leaves. there’s one single manufacturing plant that extracts the cocaine - coke gets the leaf extract, and one single company gets the cocaine to purify it for medicinal use
He is correct. Nicotine is incredibly poisonous. Some people have poisoned themselves vaping. With a high concentration of nicotine and constantly blowing big clouds, it is pretty easy to take too much nicotine. I also thought the recent problem, which is what I assume you were alluding to wasn't THC, but CBD vaping, and something that was being added to the CBD cart. But don't worry about the last part, if you were talking about something else.
@@martingrundy5475 Number of deaths from Nicotine from vaping = 0 / About 2,300 Americans die of cardiovascular disease each day, an average of 1 death every 38 seconds.(American Heart Association). .Ban Hamburgers..
@@martingrundy5475 Steve is correct. Nobody has died from vaping nicotine. People have definitely made themselves feel sick from vaping high mg nicotine liquid but they haven't died. However, people have died from nicotine poisoning from concentrated nicotine used when mixing DIY liquids and there have been incidents of kids consuming high nic liquids irresponsibly left out. This is why the current trend to ban flavored e-liquids is dangerous as more people will be attempting to DIY their e-liquid and bad things can happen if done incorrectly / without using proper precautions and techniques. The recent deaths were from black market THC cartridges that were cut with vitamin E oil which builds up in the lungs. Nicotine e-liquid sold from reputable vendors will never lead to those kinds of symptoms / illnesses. Again, this is why banning flavored e-liquids raises concerns that it will introduce more black market products into the market.
@FranBunnyFFXII I was coming here to say the same thing. Recently did a lot of research on it. The current scare has NOTHING to do with Nicotine based Vaping. It's all THC carts. Black market THC carts. Shit like this makes me not trust what Joe says. Makes me think he doesn't do very much research for his information. Took me all of a few hours to find this fact and also that the nicotine industry isn't behind the scare. This since the tobacco industry already owns the vaping industry. This vaping scare started with the vape pens blowing up in peoples faces. Turns out it was people modifying their systems with bigger batteries.. Those big ass vaping devices.
Recently began trying different brands of flavored waters (no sugar or sweeteners) and they are quite interesting. I like the Bubly cherry and Dasani black cherry the best. What flavor do you recommend?

I feel like something thats left out of most history books is just how whacked on drugs humans have been for most of history, especially the last 200 years.
Did you just 'your mom', at this time, almost 12 thousand people? Lmfao
And there was a pic of Stifler's mom :D:D:D
Interesting info, thank you. 🙂
Ah, cocaine! The only snow you'll see in south Texas.
That and the mountains of sugar you heathens put in each glass of tea.
I lived in Corpus Christi when hurricane Harvey hit. Later that year in 2017, it literally snowed enough to blanket the streets. I'm convinced some of it was coke.
ChipLeader, same goes for Phoenix AZ!
Lol
When cocaine was in everything......
You mean the 80s?
Yeah, the 1880's.
@@Thelango99 YEAH
That mock commercial had my riling on the floor! 🤣
Do a video on vaping. I believe it’s not as clear cut of a topic as many news sources would have you believe
i second that, but please do the research,
Please do a video on the Zodiac killer suspects
It's Ted Cruz. Every other option was planted by Ted Cruz to throw you off the scent.
"i did it! I'm the zodiac killer!!"
-Ted Cruz , probably
It's toby from the office.
Cease and desist letter from Ted Cruz incoming.
I was thinking about subscribing because of the wine spill - I told myself if I saw sources in the description then I'd sub. You just gained a new subscriber - these videos ROCK.
"Also known as Kyle juice." you bloody legend
This is your best video I've seen. Informative, interesting, charming and really funny. Love you man
The 1800's were wild, man.
Just what I need to get me going in the morning, Joe and cocaine😎

Good job Joe! Very good video! You’re the only one so far I’ve heard that actually reported about Portugal, good for you! 🤛😎
Joe: There was cocaine in soda back in the day

I've genuinely watched this at least 5 times since you uploaded it Joe and it's still so enjoyable. I only just noticed the baby's eyes getting bigger. Hilarious
Love how Paul Ruebens is in an anti drug commercial but then plays in Blow
"It isn't glamorous or cool"....
"Did you guys see how glamorous and cool I was in blow?"
How often do I drink soda? Once a month maybe. I usually just drink tap water.
Your comic timing is really good
“It’s not like, a LOT of cocain” is never a good thing to hear.
Low doses of it isnt bad, the problem is its very "more-ish" so people go crazy with it. Low doses wouldnt be any worse then having a cup of coffee
@@thehandliesthandle more-ish is a very good way to describe coke lol
It’s always a good thing to hear
My daughter's description of cocaine addiction: "you're wondering who you can sell your mother to for the next hit". Maybe there's a dose so low to be non-addictive, but I'll never chance that.
I was drinking soda at the beginning of this video. That felt weird.
2:56 this is an all-timer slapstick bit.
the really interesting part is that I learn more and more words english implemented from my language, german. I know kindergarden, rucksack and zeitgeist, but over the time I learn more and more, like verboten. Basicly half of the english vocabular seems to be taken from german xD
same language family 😊
english is a weird language anyway, many loanwords & inconsistencies.
#Yang2020 - decriminalize all the drugs. He’s said in interviews that he’s inspired by the Portugal example.

Caiã Wlodarski The Democratic Party has lost all credibility to me. They failed in every other way of getting rid of him and got desperate. Like honestly, you can’t wait 4 years? It’s just too irritating that you lost? You need to have that bad of a freak out over an offhand message from a stupidly outspoken person? They just needed to wait. Just shut up and wait. He’s not going to win re-election so every single bit of this is pointless and petty. I just can’t wait for the news to not be the next episode of “Keeping up with the Trumps.”
@@dungeonsanddragonsanddrive2902 hes gonna win though just letting you know, the "entertainment news" says people dont like, but from what i seen personally its the opposite
Takes the line "Cocaine, do it with your friends" to a whole new level!
did they put less and less cocaine in the mixture because cocaine was getting more expensive or because they wanted you to buy more soda?
What a brilliant insightfull question ! I guess it always comes down to money and profit.
Yeah great question! I would think it would be a combo of both actually.
They stopped putting cocaine in Coca Cola after 1903 because the general public had concerns about people (i.e. black people) having access to cocaine. Public pressure wins every time.
@@jefferroo interesting..
"Cocaine is a hell of a drug."

This was enlightening, depressing, and hopeful! What a ride lol
... or was it?!
I just love your sense of humor...or do I?! 🤨
coca cola is now the only us company allowed to import coca leaves. there’s one single manufacturing plant that extracts the cocaine - coke gets the leaf extract, and one single company gets the cocaine to purify it for medicinal use
Uh joe, the Vaping thing is THC Cartriges, not Nicotine Carts. Just saying.
@@martingrundy5475 No you're wrong. Do some real research before you speak.
