If everyone was at the energy level of the girl in the purple shirt this would be far better than a high school level production. As it is it's slightly above average.

WOW...I didn’t think high schools did productions this well anymore.
I've seen several productions of Skid Row and they usually have some African-American singers for the soulful lines. I only saw one person that looked like me, but it didn't matter. These kids poured their hearts and souls into this production and I couldn't be any happier. I hope those of them that want to pursue their dreams in show business make it because they are just that talented.
Their timing is way off but girl in the purple shirt has an amazing voice

Excellent singing but the tempo of the orchestra was too fast in many parts that were supposed to have a slow burn.

This couldn’t have been cast worse....they don’t look like they are inner city people, they look like rich suburban white people.
It's almost like it's a majority white suburban high school production...
Well, it's a school play so they don't exactly have the choice of picking the best people for their roles. Besides, everyone here did amazing.
They are extremely talented. Usually the best drama classes are at suburban schools where there is more budget for it. Plus these kids are insanely talented.
Casting they don't really have a choice to work with what they have. My bigger problems is that they could have had better costume...for example seymour (who looks poor despite being white) is WAY to well dressed here. He is supposed to look kind of sloppy and unorganized.
Then the direction could have been better. I feel there was a lot of urchins to work with, the guy playing muchnik was overacting too much he doesn't have to do all that much when they start singing and at one point he is singing with them so keep being "Disapointed" of them singing is kind of odd. Also I feel like showing muchnik is older would be nice since well he can

They’ve got a massive ensemble and hardly any ensemble roles so I guess they just had to expand the parts
