I met a group of Hutterites that left their colony over the summer and they were so kind and left me feeling great about life. I don’t know much about the Hutterite community, but from what I’ve seen, they are a great bunch of people.

I saw a movie other day and it was old movie from awhile ago and the women were supposed to be from Europe during the mid 1800s and the actresses were wearing dresses and head scarves pretty much similar the Hutterites! 😊 I missed you and glad to see you again! I’ve done a ton of those paint by # and love them. The key is to do all the tiny spots first and a magnifying glass is your best friend. I have one that goes around my neck and rests on my chest with a light so it’s hands free.
You were terribly missed last week, but taking time off especially during the incredibly busy fall season was probably so good for you. I love the red/black dress it will be so becoming on you. 💕 I'm so happy to see you protecting your hands while cleaning and already wearing your gloves outside. Is it helping your sweet busy hands? I love the blouses you wear, they are so pretty, thank you for answering my question about the women who don’t have daughters to help with the cleaning
I like cleaning too. (Except cleaning the oven, I'm not fond of that, my arms are too short and I end up half in the oven like the villain in a children's fairytale.) I like the feeling of accomplishment when you look at what you've cleaned at it's all nice and shiny and bright. I even paid my way through university working in housekeeping, I really like cleaning lol. One suggestion, if you put some lotion on your hands before putting on the nitrile gloves, it can help "lock in" the lotion and help your hands soak up more. In the winter I try to keep a tube of lotion in my bag all the time.
i'm glad to know that i'm not the only one that doesn't prefer to clean the oven 😊oh man that cracked me up 😊 i used to do that when i went to bed, i tried it once before i supposed to clean but, my hands kept slipping and sliding inside my gloves, it would be an idea to try again when going to bed 😊

We have now started referring to washing things with a bucket of soapy water as "Giselle cleaning". We will say things like "I Giselle mopped my kitchen today". I specifically love that you get me to clean things I would never even consider cleaning at all! Like a step ladder =) God Bless you!
There is something extra special when I know the song that’s being sung. I raise my voice in praise to the LORD with my Hutterite brothers & sisters, though we are miles and miles apart ♥️
I totally understand finding joy in cleaning. I love to clean out & re organize the fridge and the pantry at the start of every month. It’s relaxing and with the cost of living going up it’s a great way to see what we already have and to reduce food waste. The meal I usually make before I clean out the fridge is a hodgepodge soup with all the left over veg, I always make enough for left overs so on the next day when I clean & organize, I don’t have to think about what to eat. My friends think I’m nuts for enjoying it ahaha
Oh how I wish I was part of a community like this! In August I fell and broke my back. One of the most difficult parts of this journey is not being able to get my cleaning done! I truly enjoy cleaning my apartment! On Monday I am having surgery to hopefully fix the broken bits (prayers appreciated!). I've been trying so hard to get my place in excellent condition as I will be laid up for a few weeks. But I have physical limitations, and will have to accept OK rather than excellent. It's a good lesson. I'm a senior citizen and I am working on "growing old gracefully" ! Thank you my dear for your inspiring glimpse into your life and faith!
I am so sorry to hear that. My mother had a spinal fusion when I was- maybe a year old? She was flat on her back for a couple of months. I cannot begin to imagine how she would have coped. If you have no family nearby, perhaps some people from church, or volunteers could come help out, or at least visit with some food? I wish you the best I your upcoming surgery and recovery.
