      Great vid, Is there a bronze scale for a spyderco CPM s110v. ✌🏾 anything other than plastic.

    First, I changed the scales, then the blade. After that, the internals and hardware. Finally, I took the spare parts and put the original knife back together.

    I'm not completely new to knives in general (I've been in home improvements since I was a teenager so it ve handled knives) but I'm new to good knives and collecting. Your videos have been invaluable to me getting I to this. Now I'm ready to customize a few. I LOVE that Shaman so I think I'll do my own but I'm going to start with the Rat. Thanks for all your help and showing me so many cool and beautiful knives. I'm so jealous of all the knives you get your hands on!

    The bugout with carbon fiber and S90V (Blue back spacer) one of the holes stripped on me and i got a flytanium backspacer in it made from carbon fiber and it’s nice. The bugout isn’t hard to take apart in my opinion if you build it up. Pivot,scale,liner,washer,blade,washer,liner,scale,screws.

    • @c_solly5892
      @c_solly5892 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Probably due to the availability and aftermarket support. The Spydercos and parts for them are always available in some form, and not everyone is comfortable with modding a $500+ knife. Just a guess.

      @@c_solly5892 you could be on to something but the xm-18 has to be about the most customizable knife in the world haha. And honestly you can spend a ton of money on these spydercos with some of the mods being discussed.

      You're not wrong about the customizability of the XM-18, but I'd be willing to bet that there are considerably more Spyderco/Benchmade/Ontarios in peoples pockets than Hinderers. I was going to custom up a regular bugout with flytanium OD g10 scales for my “bday to me” present and happened across an SMKW exclusive already wearing them. For within 10-20 bucks of the final combined price I get cerakote M4 instead of the stock 30v. Seems a no brainer since it was already the look I wanted. Really like their drop point shape so I’m headed that way against the p3, etc. Does that make me a bad man? 😇

    15:28 this is incorrect to a degree or two. Without doing the screw mod on the Manix 2 LW you can't replace the ball cage. I own 7 manix 2 LW (different sprint runs/exclusives.) I have ceramic ball bearings with lightened springs and Ti ball cages in all my Manix 2, Manix 2 XLs and Manix 2 LWs. As soon as I get a new Manix 2 LW before it even goes in my pocket I do the screw mod IMHO it's a must to do to that knife as is thr ceramic ball bearing and lightened spring and a Aluminum or Ti ball cage.
