Which Gear Is Worth It? | Injustice 2 Legendary Gear Tier List

- So you'll have to forgive me a little for this, I've never done one before, I didn't really plan things out well, there are some placements that might be questionable even from me. I also left some of the pertinent caveats and so forth until the end of the video, or just somewhere in the middle.
But anyway, main gist is: if you like your character, go for their legendary, why not? Sorry for rambling.
But if you're relatively new to the game (as it seems many people are, judging by the questions I still get asked on my videos) then this is a very rough guide to my opinions on which legendary gear is worth the effort, with consideration given to how much effort is actually involved.
And yeah, I probably should've put Captain Cold in the "AVOID" category. As with a lot of these placements - your mileage may vary.

I'm guilty I watched a ton of the legendary ones. I just got back into the game and I'm going for one of the more useless ones just cause I like the character

Hey, it's not about the character, just his legendary gear. I just think it negatively impacts his ability to play this game. As I always say, "if you like the character, go for it". The specific video on Beetle's legendary gear has information about what the legendary does, but as highlighted by my interactions with Covenant Realm in the comments here, you can make it work if you know what you're doing. You're always better off playing a character you like than playing the character you think will get you wins (unless you looking at a tournament, I suppose).
And in the case of going for this legendary - as I discovered, 200 Guild events is way less arduous than 3000 minutes.
I was kind of working on blue beetles and atrocitus' legendary items. I thought blue beetles claws always out would be worthwhile? (and for visual aesthetic) I thought his shield bash move was weak anyway but I can tell you understand the fundamentals of the game better than I do. With atrocitus I'm getting the best profile exp during his grind from his other gear set. I'm partially done with flash and green arrow, maybe I'll just do those instead and be done

In my opinion as a Blue Beetle main. I think you miss understand its pro vs con. BB is able to stop your opponent neutral to advance while yours is 1 button while BB holding forward movements. That to strong in its self. BB becomes a complete characters unlike a variation switch. Add range is a bonus. BB is top 5 tier with top 3 anti-air. Reduce damage bonus plus any more attribute on top of this. To can go on if you want me too? I stop playing since a year ago but I can revisit and demonstrate how strong BB gear is.
No, I don't want you to go on, because you're never going to convince me that Beetle is top 5. You can stop their advance with a single button, for how long? His normal projectile is like a pre-nerfed Deadshot, utterly obnoxious and forcing the opponent to go around it. And as for characters that aren't trying to get in, like any of this game's effective zoners? They'll win the projectile war.
During the tournament lifespan of Injustice 2 there were always people carrying on about how "Beetle is secretly top tier" and no one ever proved it, the game was dominated by Black Adam and Starfire and Batman and Flash and Firestorm, Catwoman and Bane in the right hands, even Aquaman was still annoying at the end. Beetle is too much work for not as much reward as the better characters in the game.
If you like playing him and you do well, great, cool. Keep it up. But as someone who was advising players new to the game as to which legendary gear should be their focus if they want it, I would never recommend Blue Beetle's legendary. Yes it's my opinion, thanks for sharing yours. I also have stopped playing the game, it has taken too much of my life already.
Sorry, I was bit terse and probably sounded very rude in just text form. I just didn't really want to be part of a discussion because I've been trying to be done with this game, it has taken a lot out of me. It's my own fault really.
But if you like your character, play them. Get their legendary. Play them more. I don't want to sound like a prick. I just wanted to let the average new player know what they're getting themselves in for if they want to get multiple legendaries.
I guess I should probably add that if you're seeing success with a character that I don't think is very good, it's probably because you're a good player and are just better than the people you play against. If you can make your character work even with something I think is a detriment (such as Beetle's legendary) then great! You're doing well and if you're having fun, even better!
I don't want be in an argument or start a flame war or anything, I was just sharing an opinion, as you were. I don't think we can persuade each other but that doesn't mean I can't be more polite than I was at 2 AM when I wrote the original response.

Yes, that's why I said it was my opinion and also said that if you main a character, go for their legendary because you like them, so why not.
I think I also said that if you're good with Bane that you can probably get by, but I might have cut that bit out because I was trying to make the video shorter.

I’m about to start working on flashes haven’t really played seriously since the justice league multiverses came out and I’m getting back into it.
Good luck to you, it can be quite a daunting task but if you are doing it for a character you like then it should at least feel fun.

Fate being in the don't bother seems wrong 😅. Only reason he's there is because of the 3k min requirement but the actual effects of the gear are as useful as manta's gameplay wise in my opinion
I wouldn't say that, because Manta can always use his legendary effect, Fate's is random and activated by using an up-close special move when he is more of a full-screen character.
The effects are good and have a decent chance of activating, but they're also random and again, he's much more of a zoner but db2 is quite short range. That plus 3000 minutes just made me think that if you play Fate, you're probably doing fine without this; and if you don't play Fate, it's too much effort for something that doesn't dramatically alter the way you play the character.
But as I always say, if you like the character, go for it anyway.
@@joylessgaming I have the gear and play fate as a rushdown/space control character in most cases so the gear is useful especially with the free ank and buffs. The db2 makes most strings safe against most characters aswell so that's another thing. If we talking about fate as a zoner, I can see your point. But most of the legendary gears require a change in playstyle or abilities to be useful anyway.
@@_S_A_P_A_ You're right that the requirements want you to finish with certain strings and such, rather than just spamming projectiles, but I spent all my time in the multiverse, I tend not to think too hard about how weird the requirements would be against people.
I suppose with appropriate stats you can get his combo damage up a bit, and if you're going for combos and staying in their face, yeah you'll be using db2 a lot more often so the buffs will have a greater benefit.
I wonder how many people quit as soon as you pick Fate because they expect a spam fest. If they only knew...

Pretty much what your saying is 200 guild events is difficult which i understand but what i do is complete the rest of their quests and when its the last i can work on ther people till their ready

You'll just have to spend credits on mother boxes and keep playing as her. It's really a matter of time and patience to get the gear for sacrifice. Don't forget to set the game to have "gear drop character bias" on, so that when you play that character you're more likely to get gear for them. And you can set the passive on your loadouts to "what I want" which also increases the drop rates for the character you're playing.
Best of luck to you, since all the gear drops are random anyway.

Just grinding, really boring tedious grinding.
Do you know anyway to get the guild events done quicker? 200 is just ridiculous. I could stomach the 3,000 minutes but 200 guild events it's stupid and it's even worse with my luck as all the towers my guild gets are just 8, 10 or 12 fights. And yes I'm already using the AI but it just takes so long
If you think you can take on the boss events or have friends who also play to help with them, maybe. Otherwise, nope, just have to do the events. Personally I felt like the 3000 minutes was far more tedious than the Guild stuff, and that was with waiting for the Guild multiverse to refresh every week. Don't get me wrong, both of those requirements totally suck and they make me want to punch the person responsible, repeatedly.
@@joylessgaming Thanks for the advice, I'll try get a few people on and the 3,000 minutes only took me about 2 weeks (ish) but the guild events have taken me nearly a month and I'm not even done yet.

Well, of those I'd say Batman, got some flat % bonuses and no real downsides. And being your main, you're already playing him a lot anyway.

What are the best legendary gears for offline mode?
Well I immediately think Poison Ivy for the damage reduction. Wonder Woman for extra buffs. Atom because of the the utility of stage interactions. Bane if you feel confident in stomping the AI so the health loss doesn't matter. Starfire, no brainer. Superman if the AI is a spammer.
Those are the ones with some specific use I can think of, but a lot of the others are fine if they don't have major downsides, especially if the character is already good like Adam, Manta, Arrow, Red Hood, even Cheetah getting the bleeds helps quite a bit without downsides.
Joker for laughs, why not. Damn even Deadshot has some use if you need credits badly (but only then).
Most are OK but the truly pointless ones like Raiden, Firestorm (even though he's really good), Cyborg, Swampy, there's no real reason the pick the legendary in the multiverse, apart from the stats.

You forget that Supergirl legendary gives her rapid fire Kryptonian laser so you don't need Sun charge. Plus can you regenerate legendaries with regen tokens?

You're right, I didn't mention it in this video. I guess at the time it slipped my mind somehow, probably just took it as read, for some reason.
What should've been mentioned in relation to that and the Suncharge bonus is that when Suncharge is active, your trait doesn't recharge, so it doesn't synergise well. Otherwise it was still relatively easy to get and doesn't have a major downside, so it's placement would've either stayed the same or gone down to "Take it or leave it".
Also: no, you can't regenerate legendary gear, its stats are fixed. I'm not sure if you can transform its appearance, but I personally wouldn't do that anyway.
@@joylessgaming Looks like I have to really do Master battle simulator on highest difficulty to get lvl 30 legendary gear. Gonna get murdered by Brainiac...
@@Sk4tman91 You can get the AI to do it for you, although it will need to be programmed well and have some really good gear to help.
@@joylessgaming Yeah. I have an AI loadout for every character but they're not invincible even with the best programming.
I can't believe in this video you said darkseid Isn't that good? Maybe you're not that good with him, but I have found him to be one of the better characters and if you spam his teleport you can build your super meter bar pretty quickly
I say he wasn't good because he didn't fare well in tournaments compared to other characters. Casually he was a lot of fun to play and if you do well then that's great, have fun.
For me it’s still worth it
I'll tell you what's not worth it: getting ALL of them is NOT worth it. Stick to the characters you like, you'll feel better about it.

@Kristian Travers Well, I'm less certain about that, because by the time I got through the legendary multiverses, I'd already got all the abilities from mother boxes or multiverse rewards. BUT, I think they're supposed to be repeatable, so that you can use them to unlock the remaining abilities.
It was a response I think largely due to the number of complaints about the Staff of Grayson ability for Robin being so elusive.
@Kristian Travers Yeah, unlocking stuff in this game is just too random. That's why they added those ability towers, it just sucks that you have to complete all the other legendary towers first. If it weren't for the fact I was playing every character, I probably would've run into the same problem you're having, but playing everyone really drags out and gave me more opportunities to get things randomly.

I'm sure that was the first thing that was changed. I never experienced that because the game didn't come to PC until around when Hellboy released.
Literally watching this as I grind Dr Fate legendary gear🫠🫠 that 3k min is the bane of my existence. Minutes, damage, & victories are all I have left thanks to the glitch
