Im personally still deciding what to study before I go to college but it was really cool to hear what you do in business because I am into business and regardless what you get into you'll need to have basic business skills to be an entrepreneur.. but I'm still stuck, can you talk about what made you decide business?

I really liked that you were able to let go when you knew you didn't do as well on a quiz as you had hoped for. I am a second-semester freshman music therapy major and I put a lot of pressure on myself to get straight As. Seeing you let go and accept the grade as it may be was very freeing for me. Thank you.

I don’t get how Americans do their papers on the day of submission. Is university not hard in the states?
Business majors are easy, try and do that in engineering and you’ll get destroyed

University is still hard, we Americans are just lazy and procrastinating masters
In America you normally have a lot more smaller assignments that are still hard to do well on but aren’t as heavily graded as in Europe. Whereas in Europe you normally have 1/2 larger assignments that’s are worth pretty much your whole grade.

Had a rough experience starting out at a community college (staff issues + unknown disability = atrocious GPA) and stopped. Enlisted in Navy, separated due to disabilities (Major Depression and Anxiety disorders). I've been in and out of several jobs, mainly food service. I didn't like food service, but it's what I knew how to do. I went and got my CDL and drove a truck for a couple months, got into a minor fender bender due to a misjudged turn in a truck stop. It didn't cause any injury, damage was minor, but insurance will be difficult so I was fired. Rather than go to a company I know won't treat me right, I'm exploring education again. Business caught my attention because if I can find a way to run my own small transportation business (not necessarily trucking), I can still do what I know I enjoy (which is driving). Thanks for your informational videos such as this one. I've decided to apply for academic forgiveness and give school another try now that I know what I want to do with my life. I have to be interested in something to understand it well. You could put the smartest mathematician in front of me for lectures that last hours and I still couldn't grasp it. My anxiety is simply too overwhelming even with medications and therapy. With something that interests me, rather than have nervous energy, I have to be pulled away from the computer screen, classroom, book, etc.. because I can't stop myself from wanting to learn more. I find myself in a situation where so many different things interest me, but I obviously can't just get degrees one after the other, because money is a thing that matters, and so I have to choose one or two. I really like driving, and I like the idea of being my own boss, so running a transportation company of some type is likely where I'll end up, but I also really like cooking and always have, but I just know from experience that working in that environment is terrible for my anxiety. I still may go to culinary school. I've been accepted to The Culinary Institute of America, but I'll need to save my pennies a little while longer lol. So right now I'm working on getting back into a community college for business administration and I'll see where that takes me!

I’m a business major as well! Corporate finance is one of the hardest classes but you’re supposed to take it after Accounting 212 so that’s probably why

Corporate Finance - ugh, one of the hardest course I've taken in my academic career so far. It is a usefull knowledge but my course ended with an ACCA certificate qualification and it was a true nightmare for me as a student. I hope you will like it though! Good luck.

It's the hardest thing I've done. I would be 100% sure you want to do engineering-related work in the future before you start. You may graduate with a degree and decide to do many different things in technology, but as long as you're endlessly fascinated with learning, especially about science and math, the times where you want to give up will come and then go because your commitment will be stronger.

Thank you! I try really hard to make my music sound good, and have a good message! Regarding engineering, I looked for things I would do in my free time that would point to an interest in engineering. For instance I would watch all the History channel science videos about space, and was really interested in jets so I really thought engineering would be a great fit. Looking for what you do in your free time that reflects what you would like to be paid doing is a good approach I think.
