Tanner is one of the best artists & producers in his generation. His style, creativity, talent and versatility are unmatched. Big fan of his music, especially Visceral onward & Terror Reid. Some of the best rap ever, plus he produces it himself which makes it that much sicker. Simply unmatched.

I just wish you mentioned his SoundCloud ep’s that didn’t offcially release called “Planet Neutral” and “Trench Lords” in my opinion “Trench Lords” changed the riddim game and Planet Neutral was his first dip into the visceral style

The fact that everyone hopped on Excision’s nuts after Getter called him out for using ghosts, Getter being one of them was really unfortunate. It’s typical of the EDM scene to be so hopped up on molly and acid to not give a fuck about who actually produces the music.

@@MyShadowOpWhere is the proof he has ghost producers? I've seen this said several times but I have still not seen any proof other than Getter and Figure saying he does, which is nothing but allegations. Hearsay. Is there actual proof you know of? Even if Getter did do it, that still wouldn't mean he has ghost producerS, just had one-one time and may of never done it again. Space Laces defended him too, when defending himself. I don't trust Figures word at all either.

Best show I have ever been to in my life. I'll always remember how my buddy and I were at the rail the whole time, and heavily enjoying Getter being up there, and surreally, dude looked towards us jamming, threw us a nod, and smiled. I'll never forget that. Tanner seems like such a genuine dude that truly appreciates when people love his music.
Also, I still listen to Visceral most days. Timeless album.

There’s no way… he also didn’t quit EDM either, he just hasn’t released any EDM material in a bit after Some Creature. In 2017, he was in a lot of drama and went on a lot of Twitter rants and had beef with people for which of course he’s died down off that nowadays but there was a lot of stress and drama back in those days. This was also when things were weighing down on his mental health too. And this was before Visceral officially came out. His Terror Reid stuff is rising in popularity and he’s been more pursuing that and in a way, seems to be making that full time compared to when he did the Getter material . But as you said, he didn’t make a hard stop on Getter.
Getter is an absolute genius though and one of my favorite producers/artists of all time outside of Virtual Riot, Svdden Death, Skrillex, & several hip hop producers

I remember hearing getter for the first time in 2016 with his remix of Snails & Herobust - Pump This, which got me onto Rip & Dip, but shortly after that, i lost interest in the novelty of massive dubstep drops and sound design. Asides from that, i also saw the Filthy Frank vid when it came out, but i wasnt into hip hop at that time either. As far as I was concerned, Getter was just another dubstep producer, but then I saw his post about cancelling the Visceral tour and I was pretty shocked, and I could tell he was struggling mentally.

I saw getter, DESTROID (excision/space laces/kj sawka) for $40 on excisions 500,000 watt system in a packed indoor venue. Even Marshmello was there (but he was still DOTCOM at the time)

@8:10 100! I love seeing Oliver be Massive! Almost a decade ago I was forcing my (now) wife to listen to ‘forget it” while I was drifting my shitbox on backroads 🤣
Also, it’s so sad that the scene turned on Getter, Purgatory still is one of my favourite edm songs and Visceral overall was a cool experience

Your videos are so good 👏 Also super sad people didn’t like the visceral album because it was so good. I think if it were released today it would do well and getter would get the credit he very well deserves

I would never have thought, going from EDM to horrorcore-ish rap; it's such a sick jump. It's not easy to see how that crowd would just easily accept a person coming from EDM, but as long as your stuff is raw peeps can probably overlook most things, but they probably mostly don't know either.

the visceral album is insanely good and the only one of its kind. The type of ethereal and experimental in there is rarely to be found in other albums. If you still wanting more of this type of music, you can check out one of his most underrated single: Heartless.

Finally a well crafted documentary about the absolute beast that Tanner is. I still don't fully get the Visceral hate, i absolutely loved it when it came out and pretty much everything he has ever released under both names. His new album Manifesto also did not dissapoint
