I have a book which is about poachers and ranger murderers, it's written in the 1920 by a german policeman, it's all about his cases and methods. He compared the rifling from in crime fired bullets, primer hits and case heads with that from suspect's guns. Also he says, how important it is, to collect threads from clothing, shoe or knee prints, paper fillings from self made shotgunshells and so on. People back then weren't dumb, we are dumb to belive this...
@marinioaweischo6614 nobody is saying they were stupid, clues from crime scenes have been used, but all those things are big and visible to the naked eye, the scientific technology for fingerprints wasn't even thought of back then just like technology for DNA evidence wasn't a thing until the last few decades.
Stock photos of people who have nothing to do with the story. It’s laziness. I’m sick of it. It’s the same as so-called news reporters who just sit around reading things on the Internet and reporting about it.
Double check pictures, the cowboys photo was from the movie “ the cowboys “ , unless John Wayne was the Leader , not Curly Bill. Still good article for history buffs.
This video claims earlier (1881) use of fingerprints in America. In 1882, Gilbert Thompson of the U.S. Geological Survey in New Mexico, used his own thumb print on a document to help prevent forgery. This is the first known use of fingerprints in the United States. Also, why the wrong grave marker at the end? A 17 year old that died in 1894.
I worked for a woman named Evelyn Steele she said her family long time back change their name from Stilwell to distance themselves from the outlaw they were related
Okay, that makes sense. At first I thought Stillwell stole a safe that was well worth two thousand dollars. I figured there must be an easier (and less arduous --- carrying an awkwardly heavy safe) way to make a dishonest dollar. Thanks for the clarification.
I always wonder. If someone kills and there are witnesses. Just imagine how many they may have killed and no one know. The people they run into on the trail or when no one is around. A sociopath could have a field day back then.

This always drives me crazy. The narrator mispronounces all the important names and places in the video. At 5:48, The video shows a picture of the cowboys. The only thing is, I do not believe John Wayne, the movie actor, was even alive when all of this went down but here he is standing in the picture, a full grown man. Why is that? I can never just trust these videos. With mispronounced words, fake pics, I would think the author of these videos would take a little more time to get the accuracy correct. Instead of calling the Earps "Yearps"
Not to mention he keeps sayin The Gunfight At The OK Corral which historiacally never happened, it's just fiction that made up by the Tombstone Epitaph Newspaper It really took place in a narrow lot on the side of C. S. Fly's photography studio on Fremont Street. So how can you believe anything historically this video tells you.
@@wiseguymaybe I believe the gunfight at the OK Corral did happen. I've been to Tombstone a few times and have seen where it happened. It wasn't made up. The stables were right next to where the gun fight happened.

Yes. And "coral" as in the Coral Sea--as opposed to a corral, a pen for horses-- and multiple other bizarre pronunciations, as if he's a non-native English speaker who has no foreign accent but for whom certain English words which a U.S. born citizen would know how pronounce, give away the non-native English language speaker.

You completely missed the cause of the problems in Tombstone. Much like today the city and county were split down the middle between Republicans and Democrats. The Earp's and the Tombstone Epitaph were Republicans while the Cowboy faction were all Democrats. I can't remember the name of the other newspaper in Tombstone but it was firmly Democrat. The Epitaph is well known even today because it's reporting was far more accurate and like Fox News today the other paper published quite a few "alternative" facts and skewed every story to gain sympathy for the Democrats. Johnny Behan was a Democrat, while again the Earp's were Republicans. So, the law carried little weight. The reason the Earp's were shown in a better light during the fued which neither side could accurately be considered just was most businessman in Tombstone were Republicans and supported the Earps.
