I can tell you that people like this driver leave the highly respected drivers shaking theirs heads in disbelief!! Not only does this driver make himself look unintelligent I would group his pit crew in with him. I counted at least a dozen words of wisdom coming from their mouth pre, and post interview of their driver… bottom line is theirs other ways to voice your displeasure of other drivers, officials, or promoters if need be and the guy needs to do better for himself, the racing community, and yes the younger fans in the stands that dream of being a driver themselves someday..

What's sad with Baylands and San Jose Speedway is they never built anything after they closed down. Motocross track at San Jose and some tilt up warehouses are getting close to where Baylands was. I used to race at San Jose Speedway in the 90's, fun track, although I ended my career there on the back stretch wall
Being a New Englander, I have no dog in the fight and dirt racing is not very big up here. I sure wish it was because I'd love to see this kind of racing live. As out of control as these guys look, they're still pretty much IN control so I can't really tell what's egregious, intentional or accidental. That was some HARD racing though. Can't say I'd approve of the winner's rhetoric in the mic but hey, heat of the moment, adrenalin or whatever, that whole thing was entertaining.
...and in the end it all boils down to entertainment doesn't it. (Reminds me of a movie line- "are you not entertained!!!") Yeah, it's a bummer there's no dirt tracking to be had in New England. Guess NY would be the closest for the good big tracks. Lebanon Valley comes to mind. As badass as sprint cars are... watching them on the little screen really does them no justice. It's nearly impossible to translate the raw power through video. What a lot of people don't realize but us fans DO know: the power-to-weight ratio of a 410 sprint car is equal or more than a F1 car. After watching a few times, it looks like the guy in that white car never lifted on entry, which caused his car pushed into the green&black car. Idk if it was intentional or not. But I do know. If you stand on the throttle. Through the corner. Your car will most likely push towards the wall. I would have got out of my car first to apologize. But whatever happened from there would be on him.
i saw it a little different... he went in real low but sure he was carrying a lot of speed... it was a slide job attempt... but a very poor attempt as he "doored" the other guy. but was it really that poor... its the last lap and he got 10,000 dollars for doing that. so i guess it wasn't not so poor =P in racing you gotta know the hit is coming. so run hard laps so they cant get to you... if they can get to you, the race was never really yours anyway. the leader slipped a few times and it cost him the win.
Back in the day that dude would be upside down on a regular basis. Anybody that drove knows how easy it is to put your competitor upside down. It's also not hard for it to look unintentional. Racing back then was all about using other guys as a bank board to get around them. Some were just better at it than others
@NikonD3000 my pop told me lots of stories. He said it was a matter of putting your front wheel between the other guys wheels and touching the brakes. Off they go flying. Besides protecting the engine the "corn pickers" as I know them were designed to help prevent this. It didn't work. Any Local driver that drove winged cars in the 60's up through the 80's could tell you all about it. Try visiting the EMMR museum when they have track day. Plenty of older drivers willing to talk about their hey day.

what i find ironic is how this "clown" is saying how what he did was "justified" as he did do the WIN and not to gain a spot and all the while s I recall in Bakersfield CA last year at the Bakersfield Speedway he got the same treatment on the list lap and coming out of turn 2 was bumped out of the way and passed for the win and then this "clown" calls what Chase Johnson bullshit for having to use a chicken shit move in order to win? saw on another video of Damion saying Chase couldn't beat him any other way and that Chase should have been stripped of that win due to being a chicken shit driver?
this is why I stopped racing. to many egos causing many drivers and teams to fight over stupid petty bullshit.
