The best humour/dry humour a dude could have. What a great man and racer he was. I hope Garret Smith finds his way and makes Scott proud. We're counting on you kid.
The GOAT, NO WEAK LINKS BLACK SUNSHINE Bloomer was a legend, I met him in 88 at Eldora it's like we had known each other for yrs the same age we just hit it off and talked racing a true icon.
@@protonico1101 Scott was to Late Models like what Dale Earnhardt was to Stock Cars, What AJ Foyt was to Indycars, what Steve Kinser was to Sprint Cars
Mid nineties Brownstown Speedway IN. I remember it like yesterday getting Scott’s autograph two different places on the magazine he was on the cover of………. He was awesome and so cool! He even asked me if I wanted him to sign the page I was marking with my finger……. So unbelievable!
Never was a big Bloomquist fan. But. I give him all the respect in the world for the things he’s done and the things he’s done for the sport. He was the best to ever strap into a dirt latemodel. RIP Scott Bloomquist. You will surely be missed
I'm more of a sprintcar guy. But it's impossible not to appreciate a hands on guy so involved with every aspect of the sport. Sad day indeed. My respect to the family.
The news of Scotts death shook me hard. So many memories of Scott being Scott. Way too many drivers have passed the past few years that i watched from the start of their career to the end of their life. And way too many in plane crashes too. Some thought Scott was too aggressive, on and off the track. In reality though he was a big teddy bear who helped so many drivers through his 40 years. Scott will be missed by many. When I heard of the plane crash, I immediately thought about the young driver who won the car Scott gave away and how Scott was helping him. Hopefully someone can step up and continue to help him. Scott would be appreciative of that. RIP Scott, you will be missed but never forgotten.
Now state of Tennessee has two Great people who have passed on the same day One man that made Rock and Roll what it is today and And man that made dirt track racing what it is today
One of a kind. This Man is why America is Great winner like Scott we all need to try and get it on like he did so well.prayers for his family God Speed HotRod
I haven't really followed dirt racing for a while but I do know this,,,, losing Scott was the loss of a dirt genius a man that truly understood the dynamics of weight transfer ect
I would have loved to interview Scott Bloomquist and couch Mike Leach in the same room or heck just of let those two interview each other. That would have been something.
DIDN'T FOLLOW SCOTT A LONG TIME, BUT ONCE I DID HE WAS THE MAN , AGOOD MEMORY WAS AT ELDORA WHEN THEY PULLED THAT CHICKEN SHIT MOVE @ PUT HIM TO THE BACK, HE SHOWEDEM WHERE THE BEAR SHIT IN THE BUCKWHEAT ! !
Just saw an Interview saying that his Father builds WW I era planes. I have not heard any info about what caused his plane crash. I think it was his modern Piper that he crashed on his Farm Property?
I don't believe the suicide theory. If you look at those pictures of the aftermath of the crash, it looks like the plane had touched down and was on the ground when it hit the barn. Why would you do that if you were trying to kill yourself? Makes no sense. I believe that something went wrong and he was attempting to land the plane as quickly as he could. Maybe there was a cockpit fire and wanted to get on the ground and get out as quickly as possible?

I wish I paid more attention to this guy when he was alive
Any word on why he killed himself? He flew a plane without a pilot’s license into a barn.
