I paid half as much for my train ticket from Paris to Nice about ten years ago. It was a very long journey and I had motion sickness afterwards which I never had in my life before.
I know im asking randomly but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost the password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me
@Aidan Bryce thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I took this train FROM Cordoba to Algeciras the other week, in Preferente, and whilst you couldn't fault punctuality, the coach was a bit worn out with TVs in the ceiling that looked like they were from 1985 (not functioning!) Also, the seat didn't recline, however a) I only paid €20 for a 3-hour journey and b) it was fairly comfortable even in standard position. Oh and no food was served to anybody; either they've dropped that service or it's only served before Cordoba? However I will wholly agree that the line is extremely picturesque and the novelty of being on a train as it goes through the gauge/wheel-changing facility is amazing!
food is served now only on AVE trains only on weekdays (Mon-Fri), not anymore on ALTARIA or ALVIA or any else. The price is cheaper now. Before it was Turista base price plus 60%, now Turista price plus 30%. (before any promo discounts). When you realize that Madrid - Barcelona preferente on weekends (when food is not served on AVEs either) is 41€ cheaper and anything else stays the same... For that price you have good traditional restaurant!
TopTechTips , Hello , how are you ? My name is bader . I’m from UAE Planning to visit morocco and Spain I wanna rent a car from morocco and drive to the Madrid Any tips?
That was intentional: The Morocco-Madrid video was done for embedding on my Moroocco page (w ww.seat61.com/Morocco.htm), I then did the Gib one using the same rail journey but with some Gib footage so I could embed that on my Gibraltar page (w ww.seat61.com/Gibraltar.htm). I do warn that the Gib one has identical train journey in the description!
This is interesting - the Spanish natural landscapes, looks identical to the Moroccan natural landscapes, during the summertime! in Morocco. It looks identical to nature in Morocco.
'35 minutes' is emblazoned on the side of the craft. But it definitely took over 50 minutes, leaving 40 minutes late. We concluded that 35 minutes was simply the time taken for a Moroccan policeman to process one Moroccan passport in the queue in front. It took 1.5 hours to get ON the ferry!
the Morocans are real priks when it comes to dealing with visitors to or from Spain. it would behoove them to expedite so they can spend more money there. Moroccans are nice people but Govt. sucks.
Late at night in Istanbul, cold and a bit of snow flying, i saw an old man with a big bag, picking paper out of trash cans.I offered him $10, but he was too proud to take it, so I just laid it at his feet and walked away.
I Love this video. Quite informative! My lady and I are planning a similar trip for next summer. Is it possible to contact you via email for questions and advice?
MGstaR17 I agree I was in Spain in early December of 1972 on my first Navy cruise, I was in Malaga it is very clean there, I was also in Rota when my ship pulled in there and also Barcelona as well. I rode the Barcelona metro twice when I was there. The most beautiful women I've seen in Europe are in Spain. I liked Spain better than the rest of the countries I visited in the Mediterrian on both of my Mediterrian cruises. I seen passenger trains arrive & depart the old Barcelona train depot, great train watching in Barcelona.
Vey informative. I might make some videos like this of my travels. But something you didn't mention , and I think rather important. You didn't discuss anything about passports, or visa, or customs. You didn't mention any of that. Surely there must be some sort of passport control. I understand within most of Europe ithere aren't passport checks at borders, between Spain and Morocco there must surely be some sort of passport control.
Passing south border of European Union there are strict border controls. Depending by your nationality you have to check which documents (visa?) you need and at which regions inside EU they are valid. (E.g. if you got visa for single state belonging to Schengen Area you aren't allowed to travel outside even to another Schengen state.) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schengen_Area Like you I don't understand not to mentioned about necessary requirements passing this special border between Morocco to Spain. (I think it's easier from Spain to Morooco than the other direction.)
@Monkeyspecs301 well ofcoure there's immigration you have to go through...the question is can you get schegen visa while in Morocco to cross to spain ?
Yes, because the train has both engines, diesel and electric. Also, the track width is not the same, but you can see it adapts to the track width in these gauge-changing sheds (7:07)
@@rajivkrishnatr it's some sort of gauge changing system that Talgo has developed over the years. Not really sure of how it works, but it can currently be done in a matter of seconds without the train even having to stop, can be perfectly done in a middle of a service.

Great video. Do you know if this train is running on Spanish guage or standard guage please.
Spanish gauge until the train takes the high speed rail. Then, it changes to standard gauge.
Wow so cool
During the years I lived in Morocco I took the ferry many times, for a day trip to Malaga.
Unfortunately the direct train Algeciras-Madrid is not working any more. Now RENFE takes you by bus to Malaga and then by AVE to Madrid.
That is temporary, due to trackwork.
Thanks, nice scenery in Spain

Obviously these trains have adjustable Bogies which are activated by the Gauge Shed. Am I correct?
+wiltner Yes you are!!
Not actually. This is a Talgo train which doesn´t have bogies, only crankshafts (which is actually better for changing gauge)
Cool, the train has to change the gauge.
Beau film. compliments
so diesel hauled trains can use the high speed lines as well as the electric ones?
