Right? You'd never say the plains are "infested with wildebeest". That's the crocodile's home they're splashing through.

the first is master, lets go lets go lets go !.........death is waiting for someones, - crocks are stunning creatures, a bit a bite from Jurassic park.
Do fellow wildebeests or zebras ever team up to defend a herd member caught be a crocodile?
Every beest for itself. Like people these days.
How can they team up? The crocs are in their natural habitat and will go after the helping animals if they so choose. It's each for their own self in their everyday struggle to survive. Just like the crocs will pick off the random animal in the water, so will the lions, leopards, and other predators on the grasslands. Only the strong and lucky ones survive. Almost all animals in the wild will die a death at the hands of a predator. Very few will succumb from old age. Once the animal can't stay with the herd they will be culled.

They essentially follow the food in accordance with the wet and dry seasons. They'll exhaust the pastures in one region and need to move.

I forgot to say this & I should’ve replied this sooner, but I will now. I knew there were going to be Nile Crocodiles on this Nature Program. “As usual.” I wonder if there’ll be a PBS Nature Program on… Orinoco Crocodiles someday? Those Crocs from South America have barely been given Media attention to the viewing public over the years. Compared to their cousins the American Crocodiles.
