Cloudflare tunnel + coolify is a life saver for me. I think I'd be putting in inordinately more work into securing my server and deploying stuff on it if it weren't for those two.
Damn I literally just planned out my routing and migration for a “bring your own sub/domain or get a subdomain free” for a product I’m building. Landed on cloudflare for it! Funny how relevant and nicely timed this was.
You should do a comparison of CF Tunnels vs Tailscale vs Tailscale Funnel (which is similar to CF Tunnels, but with limitations only which ports can be exposed). My main limitation of tunnels is the 100 MB file size limit. Tailscale regular has no limits and Tailscale Funnel has an unspecified "possible bandwidth limits".
Thanks for this presentation. Didn't knew it could be that helpful. Definitely worth it with some Caddy/Coolify setup if exposing it to WAN. For a NAS or internal service, I would still never expose it through Cloudflare for the simple reason of it being traceable or just available from Cloudinary's side hence I'll stick with a Wireguard + OpenVPN access only or alike for a use case like HomeAssistant or Jellyfin.
Uh, I was under the impression that using CF Tunnels for streaming videos was a big nono in their T&C for the service, that's the reason I don't want to use that for my jellyfin service.
guys please show some simple demo 20 min video just talking theory is not easy to follow I really want to understand various use cases of cloudflare tunnel it would have been great if you would show some easy/simple demo, come on!
Not sure how you can demo a tunnel tho. Like you are connected to it. Also it's meant to be a podcast hence hard to show but again no need here, it's more about the awareness.
This is rapidly becoming my favourite dev channel. Great content again. Cheers!

Great stuff, I'm looking forward to all the cloudflare material.
I just put my PocketBase instance behind the Cloudflare tunnel and all the random bot errors went away. Pretty awesome.

For me: tailscale == internal, no human-readable domain names
CF Tunnels == external, nice URL.

So far I've been using it to expose internal web pages to coworkers. Domain based email gating works fine.
Coolify + LocalStack + CF Tunnel =

2. Create tunnel
3. Install tunnel
4. ???
5. Profit
good feedback - will put it on the list to show an example
@@WesBosperhaps a separate upload showing setting up coolify with tunnel locally would be great
@WesBos yeah pretend your talking to a dummy. Asking for a friend 😂
