End of heartache is a good album, but every album with Jesse Leech fronting them is miles better, As Daylight Dies is very average, the self titled album sucks, but every album with Jesse is miles better, Alive Or Just Breathing is one of the best albums of all time, and all the new Killswitch albums with Jesse in are better, Jesse just suits Killswitch better than Howard, Howard is one of my favourite singers ever buy, he's better in Blood Has Been Shed and Light The Torch in my opinion, as for this song, you put Jared and Howard together, it's always gonna be golden, my song of the year

Been watching a load of react videos to this song (honestly, I am obsessed!). What I love is the fact that everyone, whether they know Howard's work or not gets chills at the chorus! His clean vocals are packed with so much emotion its almost impossible not to have a reaction to it... This song really showcases what both artists can do, and they compliment each other so well. I so can't wait to hear more from them!
Howard is great. Had the privilege to see Blood Has Been Shed and Killswitch Engage fronted by him at a local bar/venue a few times way back when. KSE's music video for Fixation on The Darkness was filmed at said venue.
Word of warning if you do Killswitch reactions from their more popular Howard stuff (End of Heartache, My Curse, etc) be sure to hit the album versions or lyric videos… their record label made them do heavily edited videos back then where they basically took all of the growl/scream elements out of the official music videos and it just kills the feeling in the songs … loved your reaction to this one tho! ❤️
Having heard Howard's voice as essentially my benchmark for metalcore vocals my entire life, it's wild to think about the perspective of listening to him for the first time and taking it in. I'm likely biased given the nostalgia (I essentially learned guitar with Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, and August Burns Red tracks) but I genuinely consider him one of, if not the, best vocalists in the metalcore genre. It would be wild to hear him for the first time in 2021.
I would definitely recommend some killswitch engage. They’re one of my favorite bands, and I love both vocalists Howard and Jesse. Light the Torch, Howard’s current band is amazing also.
Jared dines has a few projects, Dissimulator (disbanded) ; Rest, Repose (disbanded). Kiellen allith (lovecraftian metalcore) There's also a double EP solo project called "the dark" and "the light". That is some absolutely killer music
Oh you'll definitely have a lotta fun digging through the Howard Killswitch Engage era stuff, for sure. :D He also has another band called Light The Torch as well. He tends to focus on the melodic side a bit more in LTT compared to his stuff with KSE (Which this is very, very reminiscent to Howard era KSE), but once you dive more into End Of Heartache and Daylight Dies (And even the self-titled album back in '09 too, that's got some good stuff on it too) Killswitch Engage, you'll enjoy Light The Torch a ton as well too. Keep fuckin' being awesome, lad!
Alive Or Just Breathing (album before Howard joined) was a defining moment for the entire metalcore genre. The End Of Heartache, Howard's first album with KSE, broke them into mainstream success and landed on movie soundtracks. It's a must listen IMO. The first 3 albums of KSE are like metalcore gold.
From someone that never heard Howard before, you getting goose bumps is the proper reaction. I've been listening to him for since KsE, and I still get them every time on this song. He was a pioneer and a key part of the metalcore scene, and I cant express to you how huge this for us that are KsE fans from back in day. Literal tears when I heard this.

Howard is an absolute legend and one of my favorite metal vocalists. You gotta check out The End of Heartache and As Daylight Does. Those two albums are their best in my opinion.
