Also just wanted to put this out there I don't think Blitz's mom was killed by the Angel Purges. Same world as Hazbin sure, but that feels like a story element that would be better in explored in Hazbin where its much more relevant to the overall plot.
I love the irony that Stollas begins the night watching a phoney melodramatic soap opera sad he can't be on a date... to end up alone and in a real relationship that makes him actually sad. It's the immature teenage infatuation morphing into true love.
Stolaz and blitz relationship is just that with benefits though what they felt is more than just Fuck buddies. - For stolaz, blitz is the person where he can revel in pleasure and twisted comfort. Because just like a Noble-type marriage is a noble's profit and love and sex don't matter. For Blitz, he wants Any type of love as long as it Invoke the sense of Family, which he longs for. When Asmodeus and fliz Called stolaz out because he fall low just to take a piece he wanted. And for blitz that twisted relationship is just for him. He isn't ready to bond with people yet. Luna is special cause without her as his paternalistic Impulse it keeps him more grounded to protect his Version of "Family"....... Hazbin hotel revolves around the idea of optimism in oblivious Situation where to HelluvaBoss is Blitz's Cope towards Past Losses. It heavily Circles around Family [EDIT] until Hazbin Hotel Gets aired. This is Brandon and Vizziepops Magnum Opus the gem to which they continues to polish
Precisely their relationship is pure lust, while Stolas remains married because a loving and healthy relationship is not supposed to be already married and having a child, Admittedly there is love between the two but, Blitz who is unable to accept himself and responds vulgarly and sexually as a defense mechanism to avoid being really hurt or showing his true feelings, Stolas does not know not really how to stay romantic seeming to turn everything into a sex game, but he's looking to find someone who isn't going to judge him on his xxx needs. Asmodeus reminding Stolas that his lust caused him to lose his wife and daughter to an imp which he was shown to be technically embarrassed of for his relationship to be known.
@@stalinsoulz7872 I'll be honest. I think Stollas is far too naive for a fuck buddy relationship. It was sex vs no sex. As much as I think the arranged marriage is villainized he might not have realized sexual fulfillment was possible. Blitz can because he is over the thrill of sexuality. So it's one sided because Stollas doesn't really understand what is going on. He's thought that fucking was fun and spending time together was fun... and didn't have the experience or empathy to realize their was a whole other painful dimension to relationships. It's not a question of it being only physical, but that Stollas had no idea that there was a difference between physical and emotional. And that makes it worse. If he were Ozzie or Angel, it would make sense for them to enter a transactional relationship. He had no idea, and yet was already resorting to book extortion and bribery, which is somehow, pathetic. He isn't in it to possess Blitz body and throw him away. No he's doing it cause he doesn't realize anyone can fuck him and he's too ignorant to realize that and catching feelings.
I think Blitz might secretly admire Moxie. Not in a eritoc having a crush way, but rather he likes how Moxie gives his love to Milly so freely and unconditionally. And specifically Moxie because the little dude is such an under dog. Like he gets beaten up and ridiculed all the time, but he's still such a sweet little guy.
Ye cause he probaby feels like he'd be the lesser one in a relationship and so it'd have to be moxie not millie cause he even states how millie is a badass in episode 6 if im nlt mistaken something like "nothing can stop that woman when blah blah"
@@axelthelad I don't think it's about being lesser and more about just how Moxxie is just like. The complete opposite of what Blitz is and was as a partner. Moxxie is giving, he puts others before himself, he doesn't let the fact that he's so down the totem pole make him feel worthless. Blitz wants to be better than all other imps, he wants to be a big shot even though he failed at everything. He is selfish, he's insecure. And he still admires Millie too, she may be closer to the typical imp, but she's still am absolute stand out. He loves vicariously through them because they're everything he feels like he can never be.
So this could be a Deadpool/Spiderman situation where the red assassin admires Spidey by how he is still a friendly neighboor superhero but shows it in a obsesive, kind of creepy romantic way.
@@Pauli-dg2yv Episode 7 suggests otherwise, blitz believes stolas is only using him. And he obviously has some trauma or fear of being left to in turn pushes everyone else away, hes self destructive and needs therapy
@@goblinofsharksnacks So basically he is being like CaoCao "I rather betray the world than let the world betray me" -CaoCao (Romance of the three kingdom)
@@Pauli-dg2yv pretty much, you see it irl, and unfortunately unless he works through his issues he'll probably just keep hurting everyone else around him trying to protect himself He'll keep using stolas cause he is convinced stolas is only using him We also see the pic on his phone, he's smiling while stolas is cuddling him while sleeping, this gives you a lil insight into what blitz may actually be feeling
I love how during the song, asmodeus doesn't actually talk down to moxie, he's goading him and telling him to make his song more lustful/sexual instead of lovey, giving him his guitar and checking his mic beforehand.
thisss, he could have easily killed moxxie if he wanted to, but instead tries to steer him toward what the audience clearly wants. It's not just not his taste, it's his job to make sure his place has the right vibe so he gave moxxie a chance to. And considering his level of power, just kicking thrm out was a very mild response. I like that they made powerful characters like him actually reasonable
@@ijornhribrudkrvir For me it was the exact opposite, wich is interesting to me. Cause to me, he was boring af. He is supposed to be so powerful and important but then lets Milly just jump on Fizz? And just throws them out? Doesnt seem like a powerful demon to me. If I where an imp or demon there, that would make me loose respect. If an imp like milly easily csn disrespect him and hes ok with it, then sure as hell I could do that. Like, yrah its cool that he is more chill and all but I think they should at least make them a bit more intimidating. His design wasnt really scary or intimidating either.
@@Shyress I see it as the sort of deal where people who are truly strong don't have to prove it. people who parade around their strength and pick fights left and right are generally pretty insecure. This guy is demon royalty. He knows how powerful he is. They know it. and beating up a couple of little imps over fizz (who is also an imp and he probably doesn't want to show too much fondness for publicly) is like getting really mad at a couple of ants for getting on your picnic blanket. You just brush them aside. it has the consequence of him also being pretty chill and generally likeable, but if anybody were to truly piss him off, there would be hell to pay im sure.
my own idea from that episode is that yes, Stolas is ashamed of Blitz, but hes much more ashamed of himself. When the spotlight was on Blitz, he couldve left and saved himself the embarrasment but he stayed. he hid his face when his wife and child were mentioned which makes me think that the reason those two have such difficulty in their relationship is because they have a deep, burning self hatred and feeling of immense guilt.
@@abimaellopezmaylord27lopez7 Ashamed or affraid ? Blitz looks like afraid of their feelings. Stolas culpabilizes and is ashamed because of his wife/daughter. But it's my impression. I think we learn more things of the Blitz's past, so we understand better the charater 😉 Hâte de voir la suite !
In romantic movies, sitcoms, and animated films, there is always a late-in-the-story misunderstanding that occurs that the romantic pair must overcome before getting together. This is the most unique misunderstanding I've ever seen.
@Animefan764 Exactly! It makes it interesting to watch and not just two uncharacteristicaly stupid people! Stolitz is an emotional rollercoaster and I'm here for the ride.
Yeah because it's barely a misunderstanding. But that is why it's so raw and appealing. Mostly the misunderstanding is innocent... which this isn't and the plot covers up the lack of character development. They mishear something or it's not any obes fault. Nope. They actually deserve it. Stollas for being naive and selfish, which can change. And Blitz for being paranoid and over reacting, which is justified. This is really exceptional romance. And it's not even supposed to be the central focus of the actual narrative. It's a comedy. If romantic subplots were half as thoughtful....
It is a nice change of using classic story beats. Rather than some bullshit plot device that gets one to believe something that's just factually not true about the other, it's a misunderstanding of their own personal emotions and what their relationship is. It's a misunderstanding that is far more personal and deeper cutting than the crap most shows use.
After the new episode, I still feel Stolas was never in the wrong. Yes, he cheated but he was never happy and was trapped in his loveless marriage. Stella is and clearly was abusive and a horrible person, and poor Octavia is stuck in the middle.
oh for sure stolas cant be blamed for being miserable in his marriage and needing an escape, yes he cheated but he cant be blamed for doing so im sure stella's done worse
Another way you know Stella was physically abusive - when she goes to hit Stolas, he catches her hand. You don’t do that if it’s your first time being hit. That shows he’s probably been hit by Stella before, and/or a previous partner.
In my opinion He never cheated on her you need to be in a committed relationship to cheat on someone his relationship with his wife was a business transaction nothing more
Another sad detail is that Verosica has tattooed Blitzo's named on her shoulder. Veronica must have had hundreds of boyfriends and girlfriends (and probably even more one-night partners), yet she still tattooed only Blitzo's name . This leads me to believe that Verosica (just like Blitzo) wanted a real relationship with a person that isn't just sex and lust and she probably thought she had found that with Blitzo, that he is the one for her and what did he do ? He stole from her and then acts like it's no big deal ! Honestly I can't blame her .
I do wonder if maybe Blitzo didn't have strong feelings for Verosika at the time and maybe still does have feelings for her despite his antagonism towards her cuz he does still have a selfie with her on his phone and not very many people keep pictures of ex's they've had messy breakups with.
Pet theory of mine mostly off that photo of them together was that blitz wasn’t a total washout when they were dating, he just seemed more idk put together, then while he was falling completely out of fame/fortune she was rising up in popularity would fit with his inferiority complex and fear of being left behind that he lashes out in that scenario
@@HTFWSFWWE I just hope the two can make amends at some point instead of her helping Stella, Striker and Robo Fizz and maybe the cheurbs to kill Blitz like we were lead to believe Ep 7 would be about. And if she even goes as far as to SAVE him from Stella and/or helping him to save Stolas from Stella and Striker, I can see old scars being healed
@@HTFWSFWWE I do believe he _does_ in some shape or form, especially if we go by his bad trip in ep. 6, where _she's_ the one that brings tears to his eyes where the others only make him confused/disturbed. If that isn't the sign of a remorseful ex, I'm not sure what is.
If you look at the newspaper Blitzo is hiding behind while he's spying on Moxxie and Millie, there's a picture of an Exterminator there. And an Exterminator also showed up on one of the carnival games in the background of "Loo Loo Land" an episode that also placed focus on Blitzo's past. I'm willing to bet that Blitzo's mom was killed during an Extermination, probably while trying to protect her kids. Depending on the circumstances, Blitzo may believe his mom's death is his fault which kicked off his self-loathing.
They go after anyone who is outside during the extermination with the exceptions of overlords and higher class demons such as lucifer and his family and the goetias because they are powerful and could take them down
But wouldn't exterminators target the Pride Ring? If Blitzo worked at Loo Loo Land as part of a circus act, he and his family would be working at the Greed Ring.
@@theartisthasarrived I don't think Loo Loo Land was the same circus where Blitzo grew up, otherwise he would have been a hell of a lot more reluctant to go back there even if it was for work purposes. His family probably performed in a travelling circus and they were just misfortunate enough to be in the Pride Ring when the Extermination went down.
I think the only thing you missed talking about was the power dynamic problem. Stolas literally holds Blitz's livelihood in his hands with the book, and that alone can create massive barriers for any real emotional connection as it actively blocks any real connection from being anything other than Obligation/contractual
I don't think Stolas is using upper hand or anything he's just being reasonable and flexible about the whole situation Although a little too flexible I guess letting Blitz ( a lower class demon ) steal his valuable book and use it for illegal actions in return for a kiss and a night in bed 😅 Being a nobel high class demon Stolas is definitely going to get in trouble for fan boying Blitz ..... And too bad Blitz uses Stolas high status for his own advantage and doesn't see Stolas genuine feelings for him
So Blitz basically needs to ride a mecha containing the soul of his mother while wishing to bang a clone of his mom while feeling kinky over comatose colleagues?
In defense of Stolas, Blitz didn't give him many reasons to stand up for their relationship. Their first "date" was an excuse for Blitz to spy on his employees. Blitz ignored Stolas completely throughout the night. It sucks that Stolas is ashamed to be seen with Blitz around other nobles, but Blitz shouldn't expect anything different when he doesn't put any effort into their relationship.
And to be fair to Blitz, Stolas set up there arrangement of sex for book during a time where Blitz was to busy to argue do to being shot at, most conversation between the two Stolas is either being uncomfortably sexual or cutsy patronizing, and at least he blew off Blitz attempt to sent a boundry by calling him cute. They are both at fualt here
@@vazak11 Well Blitzo´s the one enjoying the book, and he agreed to have Stolas being essentially his sugar daddy. Fault Stolas all you want, but Blitzo could´ve said no and walked away

The animation lends itself SO WELL to all this. Not an expression out of place. Easter eggs everywhere. Foreshadowing with the ultimate payoffs in both the writing and animations
Couldnt have put it better myself i LOVE this show sm! This episode broke me so much like damn. Really love the writing of it just everything is so well done!
I think something else we shoulder consider when talking about how screwed up Stolitz is, is that it's very possible that Stolas' love language is physical affection. It's likely that to him, having sex is his way of connecting and showing his affection. It's why he can be confident when he or Blitz are being lustful because that's something he can navigate. But when its something else, like small talk in the club, he's out of his depth, because he doesn't know how express himself without even the smallest touch. To me, the defining moment of truth is when Stolas asks Blitz to come inside his house. Yes, he's trying to salvage this night, by offering to be there for his boyfriend to talk or just unwind, and then he asks with hope in his voice if Blitz and he can cuddle. Because to him, that's how he shows his affection.
Honestly, Blitzø as we've seen has the habit of pushing the ones he loves away, so it also made Stolitz relationship seem like being used to him, because Blitzø's scared about it actually being love. As the commenter stated, Stolas has a very hard time expressing his love and emotions, making him look like he's only using Blitzø. Stolas' love on his daughter, for example. To everyone, this may be a toxic relationship, but to me, honestly, it's just very blurry, and would be way better if Blitzø *atleast* tries his best to pull himself together to listen, and Stolas trying his best to find the best words to express the love he has for the two of them
@@verdeamarillo4979 Uh. Blitz obviously just wants Stolas can provide. The book, the vip access, the information to run his joint and in return, he gives him some bedtime (which is 90% of the time, he is against it). Stolas at first sees Blitz only a sexual business partner until he feel something for the imp.
@@Pauli-dg2yv Blitz clearly cares about him now regardless of how it started. Did you have someone act like this while using you or did you perhaps act similarly to how Blitz is acting and assumed anyone who behaves as such clearly doesn’t care? Weird question, but if you did I hope you feel better soon :)
It would mean so SO much more If when they reconcile they HUG instead of kiss. I feel like it’s so much more meaningful and intimate in a way Blitzo isn’t used to with Stolaz
This is also the first episode where Moxxie isn't actually the victim of needless harassment or bullying. I saw someone else comment that Asmodeus wasn't making fun of his love, he just wanted Moxxie to talk about the sexual and lusty aspect of it. And that puts into context what I think Blitzo envies. He knows that Millie and Moxxie are more than just banging bodies, that above all else it is true love. And in this episode we see him mentally conclude that he and Stolas aren't that when in reality that have the capability to be so.
Another reason why Blitz stalks the M&M's, at least imho, is because he's scared of loneliness and NEEDS a distraction, if he's not doing that, he's just alone in his house, stuck with his own thoughts (as the end of the episode shows us) And I think that's something a lot of us can relate to, how sometimes in our lives, especially during lows, we can obsess over things just to have something we obsess over and distract us, not because that particular thing is meaningful to us in some special way
@@Tsubahi and Loona wasn’t in the house when Blitz entered at the end of EP 7, and seeing how casual it seemed I assume she’s done that many times before
So, speaking of "Work is where Blitz THRIVES" portion of the video; I've noticed, that every time Blitzo has his trademark outfit on, and while at work, his back is straight and his posture is immaculate. Which is a sgn that Blitzo is confident and comfortable in his own skin and surroundings. He very rarely ever slouches when he's in the office. But the minute he steps out? Or changes his clothes? Extremely slouched, horrible posture, and looks as small as possible, and only perks back up to his full height when Striker gave him a genuine compliment that what Blitzo was doing was genuinely impressive. This entire episode, Blitzo was horribly slouched, never once was his back straight, even though he looked amazing in his leather outfit. He ESPECIALLY looked tiny when Stolas took his hand to go into the club. Which is just a indication of how insecure this imp is. I can't help but keep track of his posture now, to try and spot when Blitzo's mental headspace is in the positive, or negative, in previous and hopefully upcoming episodes.
It could easily be solved with being honest. Blitzo was wrong for using Stolas to, Stolas was wrong for being embarrassed by Blitzo, they're both screwed up. But yeah, people who are hurt once can't stand to be hurt again, even if this might be the only chance they have.
well practical solutions to relationship struggles don't exactly make for good entertainment :D Basically every relationship problem their is could be fixed by being honest with each other, and the times when honestly won't fix the relationship- It ends it, because both parties understand that the relationship is just not viable.
Don’t think stolas was embarrassed by blitzo. He was ashamed of himself for giving up family for a thrust. He ended up developing feelings for blitzo though
What gets me still is Blitz actually apologized after saying he wasn't up to anything after Ozzies. Blitz definitely cares, even after what happened and clarifying where they stand. It's a nice, probably important, detail about where Blitz's mind is.
I do not think Stolas has "lost" Octavia. "has Octavia this weekend" sounds like he's the one with custody. Doesn't mean he wouldn't feel like he lost her, all the hugs to her right now. och.
The other part that makes Stolas hiding his face so much more painful, is that we were shown 2 other characters doing what Stolas failed to do. Moxxie stood up to one of the 7 deadly sin demons for Millie, and Blitzo stood up to defend Moxxie knowing it would get Fizz's attention. Showing that contrast between their actions and Stolas's actions all in the same song goes a long way to emphasis the effects of that one moment of weakness from Stolas.
@@CiderVG I would say having a demon price tell you what to do then straight up disobeying him in front of a live audience would be considered standing up to him. But Millie did as well, though that's perfectly within her character to do so. With Blitz and Moxxie it's a bit outside their wheelhouse which makes the acts stand out a bit more.
when blitz drives stolas home, stolas sits down on the stairs and we get a wide shot of him sitting sadly there on his front steps which reminded me of blitz climbing up the stairs toward stolas during blitz’s trip in the last episode. is it symbolism? idk maybe. i think it may mean that even though blitz feels like he isn’t in control of their relationship maybe stolas doesn’t feel in control either.
I agree that Stella has every reason to hate Stolas for what he did. I even understand her wishing death upon him. But the fact she is actually trying to get him murdered without any concern of what impact would that have on her daughters life just shows how shitty person she is.
I kinda feel for stolas - their marriage was mostly arranged or Stella doesn't care much about it and only about the amount of influence and power they have So stolas choosing someone "beneath her" is driving her insane, not the cheating itself probably. She doesn't seem to care about him or love him, just like their daughter Although cheating is wrong, he probably had no actual way out of this otherwise - because why would she give up the prestige of being a married royal couple
On the one hand, yes, I agree with this. On the other hand, cheating on Stella when she's that kind of person *also* makes things harder for Octavia, and while we get to see plenty of Stella being cold and unfeeling, we also get to see Stolas spend a day 'with his daughter' constantly ignoring her requests and flirting with his 'body guard'. We feel for him because he's the character who's pain we get to see, but I mean...this is Hell, these are demons. They've *all* got their awful sides. I think they've both been kind of shit parents, in different ways, though its obvious that Stolas has more *desire* to be a good dad. The fact that Octavia went with Stella shows that Stella cares enough to take the kid in, and that Octavia isn't pissed off enough at Stella to refuse to go.
A lot of people think that stolas hiding his face showed cowardice, and that reaching out to blitz was only an after-the-fact thing, but I believe he deserves a lot more credit. Yes, he hid when the pressure was on, but moments later, while still in the club, where there were surely still eyes on them (even after the ending of moxxie's song), he looked at the m&ms, realized his mistake, and tried to make amends. I think people have this fantastical idea that if they were in a situation where they were completely wrong, and super embarrassed, then they would be able to own up to it, and keep moving forward in confidence, but it's really really hard to do that. Stolas did crumble, but the effectiveness in coming back stronger, and awareness that he showed towards blitz was astounding. He really does love blitz the way that blitz wants to be loved, and I think that, if nothing else, stolas's arch will be completed by the end of season one, if not, blitz as well.
I’m honestly more curious about the fact that it seems like either stolas fired every imp in the building, or that Stella took them all, leaving him with absolutely NOTHING but the building that they once shared
Yessss I was so fucking upset with Blitzø for not gassing him up and telling him how amazing he looked immediately!!!! This episode was so out of pocket and hurt everyone's feelings!!!

The car scene is exactly what I needed it to be tbh. Blitz talked knowing the guy wanted to help. He didn't talked too angry cause he knew it would make him feel bad. He hold it in. He just wanted to run. It's one of the best reactions I've seen

Wow, one of those things you gotta push back and remind: They’re demons, the whole point is that they’re bad, M&M are seen as freaks for being wholesome to each other
@@SerenityM16 And also, whether your characters are demons or not, just because media portrays something that’s isn’t 100% unproblematic doesn’t mean the media itself has a problem! It’s like saying Avatar the Last Airbender is bad because it portrays genocide, and genocide is bad therefore the show is bad. What would be the point if fiction could only portray good or acceptable things? Blitzo and Stolas have a very complicated relationship with a LOT of problems because… well those relationships exist!
The way Blitz was animated in the car scene is one of my fav moments ( outside of pole dancing Asmodeus ) You can really feel how close he is to breaking , his face turning away when Stolas tried to talk to him through the window like " oh god " like hes so so close to breaking he cant take anymore and just want things to be done with. I absolutely loved this first part and am both excited and somewhat afraid for the next one !!
When I looked back at the episode, I realised that as once they enter Ozzie’s, Stolas calls Blitzo “Blitz” for the rest of the episode. Not only that but despite the fact that they went to a club in the lust ring, he called it “romantic”. I think this further proves just how much more Stolas wanted to be with Blitzo other than it being in an all physical relationship.
For anyone who doesn’t know, yes Asmodeus is a lord of Lust, and Lucifer is the lord of Pride, while also being above all the other sins. The others are the Leviathan (Envy) Mammon (Greed) Belphegor (Sloth) Satan (Wrath) And Bealzebub (Gluttony) And just for clarification, I’m talking from a Biblical standpoint, not an in-universe one, although it’s likely that everything I said matches canon.
That's not a biblical standpoint, that's "Dante's Inferno"! The book is obviously based on the bible, but 7 circles of hell were never mentioned in the actual bible, Dante invented them. It's really interesting to read :)
@@FuckTheTH-camUsernameChange Actually, while the rings of purely Dante, not all the lords of Hell are, Mammon was a concept invented by biblical scholars by likely misunderstanding what Mammon actually meant (just the overwhelmingly feeling of Greed) and assuming it was an actual entity. I don’t know about the other Sins, except Satan, Satan is biblical, and had always been a seperate entity to Lucifer. And the Leviathan is from other mythologies.
I want their recovery to be long and drawn out as a couple. I feel like too much has happened for them to just "get back together" in the next episode. I wanna see that gradual character growth that maybe culminates in the season TWO finale.

He had the book already and could of left. They both have genuine feelings for eachother now. They just need to be honest about it.
I think that Stolas wasn't ashamed of being with Blitzø, but about the fact that he lost his family basically. He was ashamed that they put him under a spotlight about his probably bad decisions
@@HimitsuHunter I don't know if in the hierarchy of hell Asmodeus is over Stolas but yeah, he is pretty powerful and if he's not in a higher position he's still one of his peers. Mh, ok he himself wasn't very quiet about his interest in Blitzø, but this is very personal and I think he's also really scared of losing Octavia
@@HimitsuHunter also I think that Stolas is really sad and scared. Scared bcs he's afraid that he gave up his family for someone that maybe is not that interested in him as much as he's interested in them. "if Stolas has shut The F*CK up money, Osmodeus has NO U shut The F*CK up money" This is comedy gold [Edit] wait tf? I return two months later and i have a bunch of likes? Huh.. weird..
Asmodeus might want to shut the f*ck up for real. In occult circles, Stolas is known for using his knowledge of Astronomy to aid Lucifer's army. Lucifer has some abandonment issues, so maybe Asmodeus should be careful about humiliating one of the angels who actually stood by Luci's side and got cast out for it. There's a reason Lucifer made him a prince.
I think you are right that Stolas and Stella didn't hate each other, I mean she didn't hire a hitman until after he cheated, but it wasn't the healthiest relationship. We get hints of that from the song to Octavia and later in his talk with Octavia on the apple ride thing, but I think it's more telling how unhappy Octavia is, how she casually steps over a recently thrown and broken pot without blinking an eye, and most telling when Octavia asks, "Are you and mom done screaming for the day?" For the day, as if it's a regular occurrence. Anyway, sorry for rambling and being over informative. Probably just pulling a total Moxie with all my nerd stuff haha
@@genzhours9466 I think she meant when she was younger like she was in the flashback, at least that's around the age she's at where most of their happy pictures seem to be from. If I wanted to get technical there's a few where Stella has her arms crossed, body language usually meaning closed off, but I'm not an expert so could be nothing. But anyway you're right she doesn't technically specify.
I just want to point out, if we include the pilot, technically this started with Blitz seemingly, because we don't really know how that that part went down, seduced Stolas, and stole the book while Stolas was asleep. I mean, not saying he planned for it, but surely it must've occured to Blitz at, some point, that the horny, demon royalty bird would want and or need his book back. That he would have to see Stolas again, right?
What’s really interesting is when you hear them fighting in episode 2 when Stolas says that he “didn’t have time to go to a motel” Stella gets mad. She’s not mad that he cheated, she’s mad that he cheated with an *imp* . Also at the end Stolas says “octavia’s with her mother *this weekend* meaning they share custody.
I can not blame Stolas for buckling under that situation. After all he clearly feels guilt and shame for hurting his daughter which I think is the real reason he hid his face. Plus what happened earlier did not help. With everyone talking about how Blitz ruined their lives and was selfish and broke their hearts. Plus he most likely realized that Blitz only brought him hear for other reasons. In that situation almost anyone would buckle especially since he is not sure if Blitz loves him back and all the evidence points that Blitz may not be worth it. Also another interesting detail is that every time Stolas tries to help Blitz, talk with Blitz or try to make things work with Blitz. Blitz is almost always looking away. This can be seen throughout the car seen and through the dinner scene. The only time he looks at Stolas was when Stolas buckles. The message is clear Blitz due to his own tunnel vision is not seeing the fact that Stolas cares for him and he only focuses on when Stolas buckles or messes up
to make it even worse, if we actually reference the Ars Goetia, Asmodeus is actually one of the 9 kings. In episode 2, Stolas refers to Goetia as a royal family. So Asmodeus could be not just his peer, but apart of his family. Which makes Stolas' humiliation even worse because now the rest of the Goetia family will soon see him as a failure as well.
I also think that Stolas hid his face out of shame because of his own action of infidelity, he was in shame for choosing to be selfish and following his passion. Not because he was with an imp. Blitzo on the other hand seems to me , have taken it as Stolas was ashamed to be with him because he was an imp and/or is a very bad partner in relationship. As exposed by his previous lovers/friends.
about 10:11, if we actually reference the Ars Goetia, Asmodeus is actually one of the 9 kings, as well as being the Deadly Sin of lust in the Peter Binsfield classifications. In episode 2, Stolas refers to Goetia as a royal family. So Asmodeus could be not just his peer, but apart of his family. Which makes Stolas' humiliation even worse because now the rest of the Goetia family will soon see him as a failure as well.
The hierarchy goes like this: Lucifer Magne Charlie & Lilith (his daughter and wife) The seven deadly sins (including asmodeus and possibly Mammon) The Ars Goetia (Stolas ans his family) Overlords (Valentino, Alastor, Vox, etc) Sinners (humans that died and ended up in hell, like Angel Dust or Husk, or Nifty) The hellborn (demons that were born in hell, like succubi) Imps & Hellhounds
19:49 - "The note is a great visual, but like... texting?" I thought the same thing, but then someone pointed out to me that Loona was present when it became obvious that Blitz was going to stalk the M&Ms, and if she had sent him a text, he might have changed his plans and followed her around. She was smart to put a note on the door instead. Yeah, it's fanwank, but it's logical fanwank.
I love how this show touches on perspectives, it's easy to see Verosica and Stella as an enemy even though they are within their right to hate both their previous lovers. Blitz and Stolas suck, but their reasons for doing what they did is understandable. I can't find myself to dislike anyone in this show, even though it's a show literally based in hell.
Blitzø and Stolas, I know y’all are hurting and going through a lot and this date night didn’t help at all, but remember this: *Y’all did this to yourselves.*
Okay. So OBVI Stoliz is gonna happen. But as much as this episode kicked us all in the collective front teeth, it was very much needed. Our two “trouble in paradise” people have finally reached the point of their activities being consequential to them in regards to each other. So! What now? Well, now they should talk. It’s what any person in an unsteady relationship should do. And this is where I think Blitzo is gonna struggle the most. As we saw before, he had past relationships with Verosika, Fizz and his family (mother and sis). And due to context clues, we can draw that he most likely hecced them over (with the potential exception being Fizz who might have betrayed Blitz) With a line of broken hearts, it’s gonna take a lot for Stolas to have Blitz open up to him and contrary to a lot of people’s beliefs, but Blitzo not being able to open up to Stolas isn’t really Stolas’s fault. After all, it was Blitz who bailed on Verosika when she was giving love to Blitz. We don’t know much about the family situation but we can assume SOME things with Fizz. It’s most likely Fizz betrayed Blitz in some way that made Blitz resent him. Yet again, this ain’t Stolas’s fault. Really the only thing he’s at fault for in regards to Blitz is using Blitz for his body and not showing signs of respect. Most of not all of the trust issues that Blitz has didn’t come from Stolas but from Blitzo’s past mistakes and from him being (maybe) betrayed. But as seen, Stolas didn’t do any favors for Blitz’s trust issues. Yes, he wasn’t the cause and he’s most likely gonna be part of the solution, but right now, he’s really not doing anything to help lessen the lack of trust in Blitz. And that took it’s toll in the end. Instead of respecting Blitzo and showing that he loves him more, he still kinda objectifies him. The only time he treated him as an equal is during ep 7 and it was a little too late for it. Or at least that’s what Blitz thinks. Which brings me to my last point. Stolas has a warped sense of love. He treats him like a play thing and then he asks himself “why doesn’t Blitzo love me?” He might think all of his actions shows affection towards Blitz bit that isn’t what Blitz sees and unless Stolas openly tries to get Blitz to realize that Stoles does wants him, it’s gonna stay like this. Now, weather Blitz chooses to see his improvements is singly on Blitz. One could argue that it would be Stolas’s fault for Blitz choosing to ignore Stolas’s efforts like in EP 7 because of the damage he has done to Blitz. This is very fair. However, I’d chalk it up to Blitz’s trust issues with being intimate. At the end of the day, Stolas can give him all of the love in the world, but it’s Blitzo that has to reconcile with himself and let Stolas in. TLDR: They are both at fault with how things are right now in their relationship (so people have to put a hold on just blaming Stolas) and they really need to talk things out.
I keep seeing in the comment section on Helluva episodes that Vivziepop is not a big fan of happy endings. I wouldn't put it past her to completely shake up relationship dynamics in the next season.
I see it totally like you, but I blame none of them, because both have their reasons and a shitty past, so they act like that… In summery, they „just“ need to talk … because communication is the most important thing in a relationship.
@@LikaLaruku but Brandon gave hints, that they want the same thing as the fans, so it could mean, that it will take a relatively good end for them both, at least, that they comes together anyhow …
Another little thing to add in their relationship would what Stolas did while saying "Good Night", he bowed to Blitz, even if only slightly. That would be another point of Stolas showing that he respects Blitz, aside from calling him by his actual name.
Can we just appriciate that Asmodeus was actually pretty nice all things concidered, i mean the first part of his song was telling Moxxie to sing about lust, which is completely reasonable, plus he let him finish it at the end, and the other, well okay pointing out how your wife and daughter left isnt very nice but... Its hell so its expected.. All in all, i love him
Considering Moxxie dissed him in front of his crowd and Millie knocked out his companion, and he only told them to get out, yeah I’d say he was pretty dang merciful
I mean it's the most tame of all the circles when you think about it. They're just having a good time, meanwhile it's possible that in the other circles people kill to get what they want
And his clear concern for Fizz when he got knocked out. Might be a little more over there as well. Shouldn't be a problem for them though. They are in the circle of lust after all 🤣
I think that everyone here has a part on this: Blitz only invited Stolas to Ozzie's place to see Mozzie and Millie; Stolas always calls Blitz a "plaything" and repetidly cheated on his wife; Stella don't think in Octavia, her daugther, who will suffer if her father dies.
blitz likes it when stolas treats him like a plaything because in episode 5 striker said plaything but blitz told stolas to call blitz a plaything so that’s why stolas said plaything in episode 6
I think the biggest thing overlooked when referring to Stella (Stolas's Wife) is maybe he *didn't* choose to marry her. There is constant implications that not only was it an arranged marriage, but one done of a class borne system. It's very possible that Stella really didn't love him, but rather his power, and decided to only put in half assed effort to continue the family lineage, hence Octavia. We could be seriously overlooking this "cheating" as Stolas literally being unallowed to divorce Stella per some royalty rules, and his shame and discomfort of his own status making Blitz a comfort person for his quest for escape from royal life. This would also explain his shame towards being seen with Blitz, as he is terrified that people will discover that he's not this posh princely man that everyone expects him to be at which point his whole world could fall apart, leaving everything he's accustomed to, to falter. Stella's disgust could be then less at his cheating and more as her blatant racism has become apparent, and her desire to kill Stolas is now because he touched "the dirty imp".
Its a combination. He cheated on her, with a peasant, of a "lesser race", in their own bed, multiple times, pretended everything was fine, said peasant said he fucked her husband in front of her friends..... There's so many layers of insult to her, both legitimate and illegitimate insults.
@@stephaniehavoksen1761 I think you don’t understand, she is not hurt, because he cheated, she sees it as an insult, that he slept with an „worthless“ imp and dirtied their reputation and status.
Something I thought of is, Stolas witnessed Moxxie's love song and Stolas usually is pretty apathetic to Moxxie and Millie but what if after seeing M&M's loving, genuine relationship he turns to them for advise on how to improve his relationship to Blitz, I mean Stolas is a pretty major character but he's only had one bit of interaction with Moxxie in Loo Loo Land and it was fairly dismissive.
I agree entirely. A good example is also in the previous episode, how he refers to M&M as merely "little creatures" - which fits exactly how he, a high-ranking demon sees imps: little creatures, irrelevant things not worth his attention.
I feel like Stolas and Blitz's relationship might improve because i firmly believe that there is a reason why Blitz always pushes people away and is afraid of actual love.
I never understood how shippers can want fictional characters hooking up and even less so that people can care to the point of being extremely toxic. But i kind of get it now, the last two episodes got me so invested that if these two don't make things work out some how it's going to be heartbreaking for me.
in some point of my life i believed that shippers were the trash of life that should burn in hell, now i get it they are just trash but no need to burn
@@antonioalbul00 my problem its not fictional characters my problem are shippers most times they end up doing the same thing to people in real life and that makes me sick thats why i call them trash but no need to use fire to kill them it would be a waste
I've seen some people say Stolas didn't hide because he was embarrassed to be seen with Blitz, but more out of embarrassment and shame at himself. His actions, worth it or not, cost him his family and said actions are being aired out to this nightclub. Do you think that's possibly what Stolas was doing? Of course, what he was doing doesn't ultimately matter, it's how Blitz viewed it. I'm curious on your thoughts. Also, fun fact that I missed too, someone on tumblr pointed it out first, that Stolas actually calls him Blitz while at the club too. Anyway, loved the video, can't wait for more of your videos to come!
I felt that way too, tbh. Stolas stood up and brought attention to himself when Verosika was singing, almost like he was about to defend Blitzo and say that the Blitzo he knows isn’t like that. It was only when his superior, Asmodeus, noticed him. Stolas also wasn’t heartbroken and ashamed until Asmodeus brought up Octavia, only after that does Stolas look really broken. Like, he realizes he broke his promise to his daughter and ruined her home, and I think that’s why he covered his face. He didn’t want to face Octavia turning his back on him (how I felt, anyways).
Stolas did cause a rift but what I feel like you missed is that he didn't do it by himself which is pretty important. Looking at his behavior you can see he's practically starved for love and intimacy, much like blitzy, but his wife obviously doesn't really give him any she kept him at a distance and was there only for what seems like...convenience? Their dead "relationship" practically pushed him to seek something else out which is likely why he started his little fling with blitz cuz it was exciting and made him feel something when he practically felt nothing besides adoration and love for his daughter
Between stolas, his wife, his confused and conflicted daughter, and blitz their lives are all a complete mess and with the fact that they ended up actually catching feels without actually being ready just makes it worse for them cuz they seem to have a lot of the same problems most noticeably the need for love which is one that affected them in different ways due to SOCIAL STATUS. It makes me kinda sad tbh
I really love, the detail and the atmosphere of the "date" it is genuiely uncorfortable to watch, and I loved every second of it. Also Blitz voice actor, SMASHED the "trying not to cry" lines
14:35 I dont think they're being mocked, but instead praised because Asmodeus says that "that's the spirit of lust" and well... he is the "embodiment of lust" after all. just a theory tho.
I want to add something. I'm pretty sure that Stolas was actually inspired by seeing true love between Millie and Moxie in the club. That's why I think he tried to encourage Blits AFTER Millie standet for Moxie. Like, he saw them before, but only in the distance and not with them publically confessing their love to each other. Plus he never paid attention to M&M because Blits was there. Stolas, as someone who always lived in hell, defidently never learned what true love is, and he probably thought that it's only about lust and sex, and marriage is about business. Maybe when he married Stella he though "Yeah, this is defidently how relationship works and that's how it supposed to be".
The direction I see this going is the same theme hazbin hotel has: Redemption. Even if their relationship is toxic now, it doesn't *have* to be. And given moxxie and millie exist as the manifestation of relationship goals and these two have been directly compared to them now, I feel as though Blitz's issues are going to come to light to EVERYONE in the next episode, or possibly the second season. Then, M&M will sort of teach these two how to be like them (because Blitz clearly wants that), and eventually Stolitz will be an actual thing again. Stolas will learn to not be as overly physical and actually figure out the whole communication thing, and Blitz... Well, he has a lot to work through. He basically has to be convinced that Stolas loves him more than for his body, and Stolas currently isn't really good at that. That's what he needs to stop being a total dick. Because honestly, as self-absorbed as he comes off, he has no self-esteem to speak of. The only issue is that instead of just inwardly chastising himself, he projects his self-hatred onto others. Also, Ozzie is part of the Ars Goetia as well. Him and Stolas are most likely practically brothers, if not peers of a sort. Now, what I want to know is how Octavia is handling this, because it could well be the case that she prefers her father despite all the shit she gives him. Her mother doesn't really come off as the most caring person in the world to say the least. I know they said they wouldn't link Hazbin and Helluva Boss, but if anyone is in need of the Happy Hotel, it's these two.
Lolo land did hint that she prefers her father as she smiled at him and said "thanks dad, your alright sometimes" or something like that at the end of the episode and Stolas came for her when she called for her parents when she was younger at the beginning of the episode (which she said daddy before mommy, so that should probably say something) so yeah..the show IS teasing their more positive relationship Also I wonder how/if Blitz and Octavia (maybe with loona) will ever formally meet each other and actually open up to the possible idea of being future stepdad and stepdaughter. Im sure Stolas would have a field day with that and I get the feeling Loona and Octavia would get along
@@Evancore-u6v I predict that it will happen either by chance (Blitz happens to go and open up to stolas when Octavia is with him, and she just happens to bear witness), or by something to do with Loona in a future episode's plot. I feel like those two girls were literally made to be step-sisters.
@@snowleopard9907 I mean, cheating is pretty bad, but I personally think Stella WAY overreacted. I mean, assassinating her husband doesn't just hurt him, it hurts Octavia too. If she really cares about their kid, she won't try to kill Stolas. That and I mean...it's a really disproportionate punishment in general.
I actually relate to stolas being awkward on a date, especially if he hasn't been on one before. Because on my first date with my husband/first date ever, me and my husband were so awkward and trying to play video games together. It's funny now that we look back on it
There’s two way I can see it; 1.) stolas and blitzo will rekindle their relationship and finally communicate. Although this is the ending everyone preferred, I think it wouldn’t work in the plot and it’ll be too cliche. 2.) stolas and blitzo break-up. Stolas and blitzo will need some time for themselves until they can finally understand themselves and each other. Their relationship isn’t healthy considering blitzo only see it as a “friend with benefits” and only using him to use the book. Blitzo fucked his relationship with verosika seeing he maxed out her credit card and ditched her. But again, we don’t know what anything about their relationship. Another is biltzo family, we had little information about his family, the only info we had is that his sister is in rehab. Blitzo need some time to heal before he can enter a relationship. He’s really messed up
I honestly hope it's the second one, way more real and interesting. If Blitzo just suddenly jumped into a relationship he'd be just running away from another trauma and it'd end ugly. If they break up now they can grow and heal and pursue each other later and have genuine love for each other.
What I've found interesting regarding Verosika and Fizzaroli, after 'House of Asmodeus' and the pictures on Blitzo's phone, we can basically say that they're not completely the bad guys in this situation. They wouldn't be like this if it weren't for Blitzo's inability to open up in a relationship. I can't really tell if Blitz and Fizz were best friends or lovers (maybe both), but there is speculation that Blitz may be at fault for why Fizz is part machine now. They also might of worked together in this circus if their clown outfits are anything to go by in that one picture. However it seems like Blitz's "sellout" comment back in episode 2 makes me think that Fizz may of left the circus to go at it himself and he became more popular. This speculated incident of him losing his limbs might of been the first part to them distancing before Fizz left. As for Verosika, they clearly weren't just in a sexual relationship if Verosika's tattoo is anything to go by. This one is more closely related to what's going on with Stolas it seems. He's afraid of getting hurt at the potential of them breaking up, which didn't seem to be likely if Verosika is so broken up inside over him leaving, which makes me wonder if him maxing her credit card on horse lessons was both due to his obsession with horses and a catalyst to break up with her before she could break up with him or make the break up less tragic. As for Verosika's alcoholism, that may of been likely a coping mechanism after the break up and it just spiraled from there and she's taken it to be a good thing (the magazine cover that Loona was reading) when it definitely isn't. Especially if she was so determined to not been seen drinking by everyone over at the bar. (Yet she does it later out on the stage so I'm not sure with that hehe) All in all, both of them don't really give me the vibe of 'these are the bad guys, they need to be stopped ' kind of deal. They're simply Blitz's past that he needs to make peace with. I'm fine with Stolitz being fixed or however they do it. But I would love to see his relationships fixed with Fizz and Verosika and to make some sort of amends.
Stella has been abusive towards Stolas even though he tried so hard to have a normal family for his Octavia… and Stella didn’t leave him, he begged her to go away
Just a little note, in the Vivzie Hell hierarchy, you forgot that Charlie and Lilith are second in command under Lucifer, but above the Seven Deadly Sins.
@@Ramsey276one No problem, and possibly another slight addendum; Somebody below said Lucifer is supposed to be the ruler of the Pride ring. Not sure if that's true, but if Lucifer counts as the sin of Pride and the strongest and most famous ruler of hell, followed by Charlie and Lilith, that would put both of them above six of the seven sins, but not all seven.
@@gregvs.theworld451 from all of the related videos I’ve seen, Lucifer is both the king of hell and Lord of the Pride ring. I could be wrong but I’ve seen many videos on the seven lords and he has those two roles in each.
Well Charlie isn't above them, maybe in power, but in status everybody, even lower demons like that reporter, make fun of her when her mother/father are not around
@@James-Railyard you're right, he's the prince of pride but isn't exactly officially king, just everybody regards him as the ruler because of his power and influence
Why does everyone talk about Octavia like she’s left She’s gone for the weekend Do none of y’all have divorced parents? This is common. Octavia’s off for her mom’s custody weekend
The reason Stolas' wife is mad is not because of cheating, but instead for sleeping with an imp. Cheating in hell is pretty allowed, but the social status of Blits is low compared to the social status of Stolas, making it shameful for Solas to sleep with Blits.
@@sebas8225 Because Fizz denied his entire being as an imp and raised himself to become a jester and maintain with Asmodeus. Because of his new found popularity and status he gets along with Asmodeus. Fizz is in high status, compared to the imps we know, which is maintain a small business and live as normal imps. Apart from this, pretty sure that Asmodeus has a soft spot for Fizz now that he's met him. Also, this separation from Fizz and other imps in status is pretty well stated in the show and in this video too.
@@Pomni3477 As the video said, they didn't have a romantic marriage; it was more of an assisted one. I very much doubt that Stolas' wife was mad at Stolas for that. Hell, she didn't even put emphasis into the fact that he was cheating, more on the fact that who he slept with was an imp.
When Stolas hid his face, that hurt ME 😭 16:58 - I love the little hand motion Blitzø did there, seen it every time someone was upset & frustrated in live action drama but never animated. It's neat & emphasizes how he's feeling right now. On a happier note - glad Tex is keeping his promise to help Luna w/ friends!
The part where you pointed out blitzø’s self worth issues made me actually break down into tears. I struggle from the same things, almost to the point of suicide. But whenever I feel bad I call my friends, my friends are the only reason I am still here in this earth. I sometimes feel that the world would be better off without me. But I always try as hard as I can to hold onto what I have, and more importantly: WHO I have. Friends are incredibly important. Humans are social creatures, we need companionship. A bit off topic of how I started this. I have been diagnosed with Anxiety, I am looking to get diagnosed for ADHD, and I very clearly have depression. So I can confidently say that Blitzø has Anxiety, ADHD, and Depression. He shows a lot of the same symptoms, and he acts a lot like me. Sadly I doubt therapists exist in hell, if they do it’s probably some guy just yelling “STOP BEING DEPRESSED” and then slapping you.
I’m kinda scared to see the next part of the finale because people have been having theories that Stolas will die and I don’t want them to be right but as I’m thinking I remember where Stolas was singing to Via about how there was a story that hasn’t been told yet and that when he’s gone she’ll be okay... the more I think about the more I’m scared
That may happen, but i don't think they would do it, right after an episode where they start to build their relation. IT would wreck Blitz beyond point.
Honestly, it’s completely unrealistic. I think all the theory videos about Stolas dying are just clickbaiting because it’s such a polarizing topic. I think there’s a pretty good chance Stolas won’t die simply because he’s a fan favorite, which effectively gives him plot armor because the creators know his death would make a lot of people stop watching.
@@luleoli People definitely jumped on that wagon too early, not considering the fact that this is Helluva Boss. Look at all the Stolas merch they're releasing, they wouldn't just kill the guy.
Until VERY recently in human history, if a noble was caught having an affair with a peasant (which they often did but kept under wraps), they'd be mocked by even the peasantry too - because it breaks down the barrier between "us" and "them". This is very important to consider when you really think about Blitz and Stolas's relationship i think. No real further point there, iv'e offered my whole thougths on other vids just. Wanted to point that out here.
Good point! Wally Wackford, an imp, was the one to shout "Are you sleeping with an imp?!" as though to communicate even the lowest class would mock Stolas for that
i feel like we need an update for the morallity of stolas' cheating, stella abused him and always hated him, so i feel like he was fully justified in cheating on her, she deserved it
@@en0sh1ma..junk0...8 Exactly. And in the episode where Stolas finally kicks her out, when she goes to hit him he catches her hand, hinting that she was possibly physically abusive in the past and he finally stood up against it. She never had any love for Stolas, and cheating was his only way out of it
17:47 great addition using Stolas's own words. He said that in a setting that Blitz heard it, so Blitz does have that verbal confirmation that that's how Stolas sees their relationship. So of course he's not going to take Stolas reaching out as anything serious because Owl Prince said it himself that that's all he is to him. And in the episode where he said that, in the moment I thought it kinda strange how that worked out. They seemed to walk out of there with an obvious "more than just sex friends" vibe even though Stolas had just said in front of two humans and all of I.M.P. that that's all they were, and I felt a little sad at that. I think that's when I realized something deeper was coming, but I didn't think it was going to be such a gut punch. Stolas breaking the "everything is a game" character for a moment to call him "Blitz" is what broke me. Blitzø had just said sorry, which was genuine and out of character for him, showing that he was both hurting and actually taking Stolas's feelings into consideration. But Stolas took the whole thing seriously, which made it obvious that he too cares about Blitzø's feelings and understood that he was hurting. It broke my heart to see them both caring for each other and hurt by each other but not sure how to fix it, even though it seems like they want to. But since neither of them have any idea how to do that because they've never been in a healthy relationship before this point, Blitzø pulled himself into a spiky shell like he always does and Stolas backed off and let him go. That was definitely a hard moment to watch. I never knew how I felt about their relationship. I like the idea of it but the reality of it in the hierarchy of Hell and the fact that these two characters have so much shit going in in their own lives made it seem from the start that it was going to be more than just difficult for them to be anything genuine. I'm both looking forward to and dreading whatever they have in store for these two.
This episode was an emotional roller coaster for me, from getting second hand embarrassment from Stolas, to just loving Fizz to nearly goddamn crying from Blitz. The ending of episode 7 was so heart shattering for me, because it didn’t end on some light note, a happy resolution or even an abrupt ending. It just left off with Blitz crying himself to sleep on a couch after a night of all of his old wounds being reopened.
Really enjoying your take on this. I feel bad for both of them in different ways. And as much as I didn’t like what Blitz said before driving off, I do think Stolas had to hear it. I think this is the start of a turning point for both of them to sort out their resolve. Also not sure what you think of this but a common fan theory about Stolas is physical intimacy is his love language that is getting missunderstood by Blitz.
Well yeah Stolas showed that he is into the physical part, but also it was the only reason they were meeting because of the book. Other way Blitz wanted to stay away.
@@blackclaws354 I know. I mean it’s mixed messages. Blitz wouldn’t be able to understand where Stolas was coming cause it was always physical. I do find the theory interesting but I know physical intimacy alone can’t stabilize a relationship. As much as I Ship Stolaz, these two need to take real time to talk and get to know each other.
@@blackclaws354 I personally feel it started to go beyond just physical back in episode 5 when Stolas invited all of I.M.P to the Harvest Moon Festival. It was immediately after sex but Stolas not only insisted on it being just a day of fun, but he was far less lusty in addressing Blitzo and much more cutesy. It's not been overt but it's been there.
As someone who has studied Christian theology, yes, Asmodeus is one of the seven deadly sins, or technically “the seven demon princes of hell” with each correspond to a sin
If i'm being honest, when i saw the ending of episode 7 i didn't know which of them to feel bad for the most i mean i guess technically both Blitz and Stolas equally felt bad but i'm seriously hoping that Stolas doesn't die and that Blitz comes to accept that Stolas's love for him is real.
Idk why so many people think Stolas might die. Based on the direction and plot of this story, it really doesn't come off as a show that would kill off its main characters.
Him dying would be an extremly depressing end to a comady and have little purpose, so i really doubt it

@@CrypticCobra bro, listen to the song that he sang for Octavia, demons princes are as longs as eternity for all we know, the way he says all of that in the song...this man know he is going to die

I love the way this bomb has been building up throughout the episodes with all sorts of hints and peeks at what's going on between them! I'm glad so many people are so interested in it too.
From my perspective, Stolas and Blitz are two sides of the same tragic and ironic coin. Stolas, if he is truly a fallen angel, must be thousands or millions of years old, but, despite his age, he is naive, Stolas, in his song, says that he "used to think that love would be fun", so he was likely a naive prince demon who believed that relationships were nothing but fun and excitement all the time, ignoring that relationships and romance also have their downsides, like fighting, heartbreak and discussions, as a result of being naive regarding how love and feeling truly work, Stolas suffered the terrible consequences of only seeing love as something that was just fun, without realizing love has its serious part as well, and the consequences are two ruined relationships with Stella and probably Ozzie(I know it is not confirmed, but I am pretty sure Ozzie and Stolas used to date), and his relationship with Blitz being on hold for now. And Blitz is the similar opposite, he is a man that has had serious relationships with Verosika and Fizz(I am pretty sure this two dated), but he also saw how love is complicated, so, instead of trying to fix himself, he "ran away", in unhealthy ways, and shoved away his loved ones until they resented him, Blitz is a cynical man that fails to understand that his cynicism and fear of ruining others that cause him to destroy his relationships are what are making him damage others' life when he has the potential to be something better, and he alienates others as a result of his fear and cynical attitude. In resume, Stolas is the result of years of privillege without consequences and the naivete of believing love and relationships are nothing but a perfect happily ever after all the time, and Blitz is the result of the refusal of facing the tough parts of love and alienating and shoving away others as a result. Stolas is an old naive man and Blitz is a young cynical man, and they truly complete each other, in some sense.
I've been suspecting something was up with Blitz's family since the episode with the cherubs, when the sock puppet on his tail flew off vanishing in a flash of light. They went out of their way to animate his reaction to it for a reason, stepping away from the plot to do so.
@K Here's an explanation. So Lucifer doesn't kill demons (unless they get on his bad side), the exorcists/exterminators do it, they are creepy angels who go down to Hell to keep demon populations in check, some people (including myself) believe the annual cleanse was created by Heaven and Lucifer doesn't want them to happen, some also believe this only happens in the Pride ring, where Lucifer lives, I also believe that the cleanse only happens in the Pride ring as it's the only ring where humans (sinners) live, they can't travel to other rings like hellborn demons can, demons can die, if they are killed by holy weapons they get sent to what some call "The Void" which is exactly what it sounds like, holy weapons are spears or swords, we have only seen exorcists use spears, but the angelic metal can be melted and can be turned into the most OP weapons in heaven, the holy guns, in episode 5 we see Striker use a holy rifle and at the end of the episode we see him with a holy revolver, you should also watch Hazbin hotel if you haven't already, it's in the same universe and it happens in the Pride ring, Hazbin was picked up by A24 and may be on Netflix or HBO (?), hope this made it easier to understand.
13:15 I personally read this all as, Stolas didn’t know about Blitzo’s romantic past, because a) they’ve never had an actual getting to know you conversation before that night, b) he didn’t think he’d care, and then he starts seeing a pattern as others point it out to him, and he is worried
Blitz is known for pushing people away out of fear of getting hurt, but hurts himself when they do leave. He probably believes Stolas hates him for practically *using* him just to get into the club and not actually go on a date, and expects Stolas to leave him too.
When I first watched the episode, to be fair, I didn't even consider that stolas hiding his face was him not sticking up for blitz. I just assumed that he was humiliated- blitz didn't seem to know about his home situation and having it be revealed like that not only to him but to litterally everyone in a restaurant is... A situation, for sure. in the moment I assumed both of their reactions were because of just how big of a move it is to dump your whole marriage for a fling. Blitz's face to me was just utter incredulity, but now I see how his insecurities were also confirmed along with this whole situation! Also, I have a feeling next episode won't be any kind of respite from this situation... Maybe they'll set up some reconciliation, sure, but also maybe they'll set up *even more* conflict between the two with a huge falling out to be resolved next season! Either way it'll probably be awful (to my heart) so looking forward to that! :D love your videos btw
Him hiding due to the humiliation of being called out IS him not sticking up for Blitzo. I think in the next episode they might address the situation but Stolas has so many death flags waving around he might as well be using the semaphore flag signaling to spell out his incoming demise. He has a hitman after him and the humans are now aware of how strong he is and how to get him to show up. If they capture Blitzo on his next job and Stolas shows up to save him again, he might be a goner. Especially if they come in contact with a demon who is able to kill a prince (Striker).
@@j.a.r.5974 there is just so much happening against these two I can't even begin to predict how things are going to go from now lmao. The stakes are already way too high for stolas, I think they're only going to get higher and although I really do have faith that they'll end up together the road to this outcome, as we know, is complicated to say the least and has to involve both stolas and blitzo actually acknowledging and solving their problems instead of running away, which I think could involve some type of difficult choice but idk! Just mindlessly speculating though, maybe in this part of the finale shit hit the fan like, emotionally? And now perhaps we'll get to see the more concrete consequences of their shenanigans throughout the season, setting up more solid antagonists for season 2 as well as the emotional challenges they'll have to go through. I don't think stolas would choose blitzo over via, but he did already throw his life away for whatever his idea of love is rn :(. balancing the love he has for his daughter and the respect he owes his wife with a relationship with blitzo is their actual happy ending for me, and I have just no idea how or if viv and the team are going to pull this off lmao (and that's mostly thinking on stolas' side jesus there is so much going on).
Honestly it's so one dimensional that they chose to just go with the evil naggy bitch wife direction. Could have done so much with her, but for the most part she's just a caricature that exists for the development of Stolas.
Wouldn't be surprised if in the next episode, Stolas says just take the book. Or he goes wherever Blitzo keeps it, does his thing with the book, and when Blitzo catches him, he just leaves or says no more physicality.
I like to imagine that Blitzø ran away from Verosika after the first time she told him she loved him. And I think she's so bitter about it because he was the first person she ever saw as more than just a plaything, and Verosika shows her pain through anger instead of sulking about it.

OOOOOOOOHHH
Also love that the time we see them in the "element" House of Lust they get uncomfortable because this isn't only about lust for them
LOL the irony is hilarious now that you point it out 😆
I love the irony that Stollas begins the night watching a phoney melodramatic soap opera sad he can't be on a date... to end up alone and in a real relationship that makes him actually sad.
It heavily Circles around Family
[EDIT] until Hazbin Hotel Gets aired.
So this could be a Deadpool/Spiderman situation where the red assassin admires Spidey by how he is still a friendly neighboor superhero but shows it in a obsesive, kind of creepy romantic way.

my own idea from that episode is that yes, Stolas is ashamed of Blitz, but hes much more ashamed of himself. When the spotlight was on Blitz, he couldve left and saved himself the embarrasment but he stayed. he hid his face when his wife and child were mentioned which makes me think that the reason those two have such difficulty in their relationship is because they have a deep, burning self hatred and feeling of immense guilt.

God I hope this is just a misunderstanding

@@Ske1et0n45 Stella didn’t even really care too
Another way you know Stella was physically abusive - when she goes to hit Stolas, he catches her hand. You don’t do that if it’s your first time being hit. That shows he’s probably been hit by Stella before, and/or a previous partner.
In my opinion He never cheated on her you need to be in a committed relationship to cheat on someone his relationship with his wife was a business transaction nothing more
Stolace is just the one I feel bad for, Blitzo is a jerk

Interesting theory although I thought exterminators go after sinners and not hell denizens.
@@Metroid51 They're a pretty violent bunch, so I wouldn't be surprised if they took out a couple of hellborns along the way.
I think the only thing you missed talking about was the power dynamic problem. Stolas literally holds Blitz's livelihood in his hands with the book, and that alone can create massive barriers for any real emotional connection as it actively blocks any real connection from being anything other than Obligation/contractual

Tldr: its toxic

Another reason why Blitz stalks the M&M's, at least imho, is because he's scared of loneliness and NEEDS a distraction, if he's not doing that, he's just alone in his house, stuck with his own thoughts (as the end of the episode shows us)
And I think that's something a lot of us can relate to, how sometimes in our lives, especially during lows, we can obsess over things just to have something we obsess over and distract us, not because that particular thing is meaningful to us in some special way

I've noticed, that every time Blitzo has his trademark outfit on, and while at work, his back is straight and his posture is immaculate.
That’s a really good catch.
Ooooh I didn’t notice that
FANTASTIC catch.
You're so smart omg
It could easily be solved with being honest. Blitzo was wrong for using Stolas to, Stolas was wrong for being embarrassed by Blitzo, they're both screwed up. But yeah, people who are hurt once can't stand to be hurt again, even if this might be the only chance they have.
well practical solutions to relationship struggles don't exactly make for good entertainment :D Basically every relationship problem their is could be fixed by being honest with each other, and the times when honestly won't fix the relationship- It ends it, because both parties understand that the relationship is just not viable.
Hurt people hurt people
Don’t think stolas was embarrassed by blitzo.

I think you mixed up Moxxie and Millie
Didn't Millie stand up to him by hitting Fizz?

She seems like a shitty mom. All of Octavia’s childhood drawings had Stolas and her holding hands, but not Stella.
I kinda feel for stolas - their marriage was mostly arranged or Stella doesn't care much about it and only about the amount of influence and power they have
So stolas choosing someone "beneath her" is driving her insane, not the cheating itself probably. She doesn't seem to care about him or love him, just like their daughter
Although cheating is wrong, he probably had no actual way out of this otherwise - because why would she give up the prestige of being a married royal couple
@@anomienormie8126 Wow, I've never noticed that. Well, time to rewatch the whole series once again.
@@Scottthespy Fair point. Though I don't think Octavia moved to her mom's. Stolas said she's there THIS weekend, so it might be a shared custody.

I think blitz doesn’t love stolas but stolas will realize that in season 2 trailer and m&m convinced stolas in episode 7 season 1

The others are the Leviathan (Envy) Mammon (Greed) Belphegor (Sloth) Satan (Wrath) And Bealzebub (Gluttony)
And just for clarification, I’m talking from a Biblical standpoint, not an in-universe one, although it’s likely that everything I said matches canon.
That's not a biblical standpoint, that's "Dante's Inferno"! The book is obviously based on the bible, but 7 circles of hell were never mentioned in the actual bible, Dante invented them. It's really interesting to read :)

He had the book already and could of left. They both have genuine feelings for eachother now. They just need to be honest about it.

That's from Dave Chappelle
Oh my god, I didn’t even realize that Blitz shed a tear in 17:02 that just makes the car scene even more sad

I’ve been kind of hoping for a flashback scene of how Blitz seduced him in the first place
Eh... he’s pretty impulsive, y’know? And his whole business kinda hinges on getting to the human world... so would it really be so unlikely?
@@virginiafernandez6846 I agree, it doesn't seem unlikely he didn't think about it that hard.

*Y’all did this to yourselves.*
Who knows, maybe they will learn and salvage their relationship another night?
And due to context clues, we can draw that he most likely hecced them over (with the potential exception being Fizz who might have betrayed Blitz)
With a line of broken hearts, it’s gonna take a lot for Stolas to have Blitz open up to him and contrary to a lot of people’s beliefs, but Blitzo not being able to open up to Stolas isn’t really Stolas’s fault.
He treats him like a play thing and then he asks himself “why doesn’t Blitzo love me?” He might think all of his actions shows affection towards Blitz
bit that isn’t what Blitz sees and unless Stolas openly tries to get Blitz to realize that Stoles does wants him, it’s gonna stay like this.
TLDR: They are both at fault with how things are right now in their relationship (so people have to put a hold on just blaming Stolas) and they really need to talk things out.
i see i'm not the only one who blames both of them for everything that's happened to them.

All in all, i love him
i mean he could be a lot worse A LOT, so yeah pretty nice
Considering Moxxie dissed him in front of his crowd and Millie knocked out his companion, and he only told them to get out, yeah I’d say he was pretty dang merciful
Asmodeus seems to be one of the more nicer demons if you ask me...
I mean it's the most tame of all the circles when you think about it. They're just having a good time, meanwhile it's possible that in the other circles people kill to get what they want
And his clear concern for Fizz when he got knocked out. Might be a little more over there as well. Shouldn't be a problem for them though. They are in the circle of lust after all 🤣
I think that everyone here has a part on this:
Blitz only invited Stolas to Ozzie's place to see Mozzie and Millie; Stolas always calls Blitz a "plaything" and repetidly cheated on his wife; Stella don't think in Octavia, her daugther, who will suffer if her father dies.
blitz likes it when stolas treats him like a plaything because in episode 5 striker said plaything but blitz told stolas to call blitz a plaything so that’s why stolas said plaything in episode 6
Either way, cheating is wrong, and it’s completely valid for her to be hurt
This is probably why stolas likes blitz, because blitz doesn’t see him as a powerful king, just stolas.

Oh, that would be great!
I agree entirely. A good example is also in the previous episode, how he refers to M&M as merely "little creatures" - which fits exactly how he, a high-ranking demon sees imps: little creatures, irrelevant things not worth his attention.

Yeah if Stolas really was ashamed of being seen with Blitz he wouldn'tve yelled his name out at the harvest festival.
Stolas also called him Blitz (not Blitzy) on their date, which I took as him taking the date seriously and trying to be genuine with him 🥺
I really love, the detail and the atmosphere of the "date" it is genuiely uncorfortable to watch, and I loved every second of it.
That's fucking right.
@@sirartorias6579 m and m convinced stolas and stolas shouldn’t be embarrassed to date blitz in front of other demons
@Kaylee Jazz he didn’t want to be embarrassed and m & m convinced stolas
Lolo land did hint that she prefers her father as she smiled at him and said "thanks dad, your alright sometimes" or something like that at the end of the episode and Stolas came for her when she called for her parents when she was younger at the beginning of the episode (which she said daddy before mommy, so that should probably say something) so yeah..the show IS teasing their more positive relationship
Also I wonder how/if Blitz and Octavia (maybe with loona) will ever formally meet each other and actually open up to the possible idea of being future stepdad and stepdaughter.
I say everyone prejudges stolas wife way too much. You only seen small bits of her and that was during that fact her husband CHEATED on her
@@snowleopard9907 well to be fair we did see her hire a hit man to kill her husband. I think we can all agree that’s a little…extreme
It's funny now that we look back on it
I can relate to stolas on another level. Just wanting someone to love you when you clearly know the feeling isnt mutual.
I know! I feel so bad for Stolas😭
@@annielemon and stolas realizes blitz didn’t love him so that’s why stolas is sitting alone remembering the past in the season 2 trailer
There’s two way I can see it;
1.) stolas and blitzo will rekindle their relationship and finally communicate.
He’s better off single, he clearly can’t be in a relationship and he knows it
What I've found interesting regarding Verosika and Fizzaroli, after 'House of Asmodeus' and the pictures on Blitzo's phone, we can basically say that they're not completely the bad guys in this situation.
(Yet she does it later out on the stage so I'm not sure with that hehe)
All in all, both of them don't really give me the vibe of 'these are the bad guys, they need to be stopped ' kind of deal. They're simply Blitz's past that he needs to make peace with. I'm fine with Stolitz being fixed or however they do it. But I would love to see his relationships fixed with Fizz and Verosika and to make some sort of amends.
I mean you say that, but we aren't prepared for that heartbreak at all.

The reason Stolas' wife is mad is not because of cheating, but instead for sleeping with an imp. Cheating in hell is pretty allowed, but the social status of Blits is low compared to the social status of Stolas, making it shameful for Solas to sleep with Blits.
but Asmodeus can be all buddy buddy with the Clown and it´s not a problem because?
@@sebas8225 because only Lucifer is on top of him. 6 demons are his equals the rest is below him AND he's the embodiment of Lust.
Wrong. It was because of the cheating as well.
When Stolas hid his face, that hurt ME 😭
16:58 - I love the little hand motion Blitzø did there, seen it every time someone was upset & frustrated in live action drama but never animated.
Oh yeah stolas I feel is gonna sacrifice himself for blitz and admit his feelings
Except this is a comady so killing Stolas would be depressing and have no pay off. I highly doubt it will happen.

This is probably the most anticipating character development that I’ve ever waited for.
Good point! Wally Wackford, an imp, was the one to shout "Are you sleeping with an imp?!" as though to communicate even the lowest class would mock Stolas for that
i feel like we need an update for the morallity of stolas' cheating, stella abused him and always hated him, so i feel like he was fully justified in cheating on her, she deserved it
Fr she was insulting him and laughing at him in front of her friends even before he started cheating💀💀it may sound bad but he had every right to cheat
She even made a "not divorced anniversary" party lmao
"He believes that him being with people makes them worse"
That hit a little too close to home
After all the revalations we got in S2ep1 I seriously can't wait to hear your thoughts and how much they contrast now with this video!
Here's the problem it's was only a deal of course blitzo is being honest
@@lixon1501 fair point.

Late reply but Asmodeus/Ozzie is a king of Hell, and in the same family bloodline as Stolas is I'm pretty sure
I've been suspecting something was up with Blitz's family since the episode with the cherubs, when the sock puppet on his tail flew off vanishing in a flash of light. They went out of their way to animate his reaction to it for a reason, stepping away from the plot to do so.
@K Here's an explanation.
Because blitz doesn’t like it when stolas tries to be romantic
