Does this have experimental or a standard AW certificate? The registry suggested experimental crew training & show compliance, but you also mention an STC. Either way, this is an awesome plane!
@@John_McCardle Under an experimental "show compliance" AW certificate, the standard AW cert can be held in suspension while flight testing occurs. At the successful completion of the STC project there should be a logbook entry similar to this completed by an FAA inspector or DAR: “I find this aircraft meets the requirements for the reinstatement of the [standard or restricted] airworthiness certificate and the inspection was performed based on all installations and alterations related to [insert STC number, amended TC number, or other form of project description], performed from [insert date the alteration(s) was first installed] to [insert current date].” If you have this logbook entry and the standard AW cert, then this might be a coding error in the registry database. Contact your local FSDO to have this corrected. I've seen one verified case of this before but is very rare.
Think I may have owned that airplane back in the early nineties. Bought it from Jeremy Ainsworth. Believe there were only 8 built altogether. If I recall Continental motor. Did zoom along about 140 mph at some altitude. The airspeed indicators were mph in the Maule aircraft then. Want to say built late seventies. If I am mistaken apologies.

@@KurtFLA it's certified with an stc. I dont know why it says experimental, but I did see that too.

It's a Lycoming 540 with a turbo on it. Don't think it's the same one...
