I had a gen 1 airpods pro bought on 6th March 2020, free replacements in 2022 for the hissing issue, sold them to a friend just a month ago still going absolutely crazy strong like day 1. Only reason I sold them was because of the rubber tips not being comfortable, I thought I could live with them but after switching to AirPods 4 - I am never switching back to rubber tips earbuds again
Being able to swipe on the stem to raise/lower the volume without touching your phone is already a reason to get the pros. Small thing but game changer.
AirPods Pro 2 is clearly Apple’s focus. I use mine a lot. Bit annoyed I got the lightning version just before they changed it to USB-C. The watch charger compatibility is very handy though.

Truck driver here, my lighting AirPods Pro 2 have been a good send to my ears! The anc is saving what’s left of my hearing! I did the hearing test and it found I am experiencing light hearing loss… Cheers!

My AirPods Max are still going strong with 20 hours of battery life after 3 years. And I sweat in them, use them for yard work etc. far better anc than pro 2 with the lightning port were for me

A tip if you find the ANC isn’t working as well on your AirPods Pro. Give them a good clean. Apple has a cleaning guide online. It fixed the ANC on mine.
I have a pair of Sony XM4s as my over-ear daily driver, a pair of AirPods Pro 2 for my in-ear daily driver, and a pair of Beats Fit Pros for the gym and running. A nice little rotation of options depending on the situation I'm in.
I bought AirPods Pro 2 in March 2023 and have used them every single day since, I did swap the case this year for one with Type C but they are truly amazing. The sound quality and noise cancellation with lossless audio from a pair of fully wireless earbuds which are that small is mind blowing. After almost 2 years the battery life is still good, they generally last me a week or more and I charge them wirelessly with no issues. If the Pro 3’s get released next year I might upgrade just because of how much I use them, also with a new job and longer commute on the bus they will be used for up to 2 hours per day, 5 days a week.
I use APP2 for when I’m around other people because they don’t leak as much noise but the new AP4 are my favorites for running because they stay in my ears better and I find no silicone inserts more comfortable.
APP2 Lightning were my first Airpods and cannot overstate how much I like them and their integration as I flit between Mac, iPad and phone, so I bought a second pair (now USB-C) when they were on sale as well, so I can swap as needed to a fully-charged set as I have them in practically all day. I’d probably just have them implanted in my head if I could.

I have very recently switched from AirPods Pro 1 to the Pro 2s (which I also got as a gift from my girlfriend) and I've been loving them. The adaptive volume and adaptive transparency modes are something which are like a game changer for me. Yes, the noise cancellation is amazing, but I've found myself mostly using them in the "adaptive" sound mode most of the times. I own quite a few IEMs as well but ever since I got these Pro 2s, I've only been using these exclusively for music. The sub-bass is very accurate and they handle the mids particularly well too. Spatial audio is nice for videos and movies, not so much for music (at least for me). As always, a very nice video from you, Drew! Curious to know how you find their sound quality :)
Currently using AirPods Pro 1, battery life hasn’t degraded as bad as most other products still get good usage out of them. Recently got Sony WH-CH720s to try out over the ear headphones. Seems Ive found a good duo for most situations.
I finally bought the Air Pod Pro 2 a few weeks ago at the same low price on Amazon. They really are fantastic for a wireless device and considering all the features it has, it definitely worth the (reduced) price.
I love my AirPods Pro 2 (w/lightning), they work great even without having USB-C.. sucks but I am waiting a bit. I use them here and there but I bought the Beats Fit Pro for working out and doing lawn work specifically for the wing tips that help secure them in my ear more than my AirPods seem to.

My Airpods Pro 1st gen was part of the replacement program. Then got replaced again after a year. Now it needs replacing again but it no longer adheres to the program. That’s why I bought a KZ headset for now.
I’ve had the 2nd gen for a more than year now and I love em. Once they stop working think I’ll go with the 4 gen. I’ve tried the pros in the past but didnt like the rubber tips
My lightning APM bricked on me 2&1/2 years ago so when we finally got a refresh, even though it was only usb-c and new colors, I decided to hell with it and bought them. Still think they should’ve cut the price by $100. I know I’m a sucker but to me they really are the best over ear headphones experience of my life.
I have had 1st gen pros since 2020 with replacements and after i got the 2nd gen’s a month ago i was blown away by the battery life and the features the find my features the new case has, i just with they still sold a case I could use with lightning because of my Iphone 14 PM which i have no intentions of upgrading for the next few years
I got my AirPods Pro on sale a few months after the USB-C AirPods came out and purposely got the lightning version. I still had a lightning iPhone and iPad and still to this day, besides the MacBook, don’t really have any need to upgrade for USB-C on any of my devices.
Air Pods Pro 2 all the way. They are incredible. After two plus years I still find myself using them all the time. I dont use ANC though, mainly adaptive. They are an excellent product that sounds great.
Given I am using a set of Beats Studio Buds+ on my iPhone 16 Plus, I will wait for the next AirPods Pro coming in 2025. It may get a new shape, longer battery life per charge and possibly improved drivers.
I noticed a huge difference between AirPods Pro 1 and AirPods Pro 2 in noise cancellation and sound quality. I have AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Max 1st gen. Love them both! I use AirPods Pro 2 when using a lawn mower but use the AirPods Max when watching movies because in my opinion they sound better. I found the 1st gen AirPods Max for 350 on amazon a few months ago and jumped on it. I really wish Apple gave the 2nd gen AirPods Max the h2 chip and all the updated features but they didn’t so I got the first gen.
I’m using my AirPods Pro 2 to watch this video and they’ve been the best earbuds I’ve used. The active noise cancellation is definitely useful when in a crowded train to drown out the sound and have some peace. Gonna get the battery swapped before my Applecare expires in the beginning of January 2026 (a few days in) so I can keep using these until I can’t which by then they’ll have the AirPods Pro 4’s or 5’s

The pros definitely last longer than the base. I used the base religiously and they needed to be replaced every two years. The pros for some reason just last longer. After two years still rocking strong. However, I think the noise cancellation is bad. Idk if it my ear shape but my coworker at work chews gum and eats with his mouth open and unless I blast the pros they don’t muffle out his beyond gross and rude eating.
You are a lucky man, my Pro 1 set did go bad 3M after the warranty did expire. Pro 2, same story, died a little after 2 years. Now Pro 2 with USB-C, hope they last a little longer. I use them only on the go so it’s not they have a harsh live. At home / office, Bose QC45 all day, every day…
My AirPods pro were one of those faulty ones so I’ve got a new pair from Apple for free. The new pair worked beautifully for a few months before it started doing the same crap like the old faulty ones so I bought the new pros 2 which just came out at that time. Pros 2 were great for over 2 years and then suddenly the battery on the case crapped out on me and the right one went almost completely silent at almost exact same time. Apple store says it will be able to replace it due to the consumer laws or whatever, but I got me brand new pros 2 anyway as replacing of the old ones may take some time and I at this point can’t live a day without AirPods anymore. In the meantime, samsung buds which I bought like 5 or more years ago work just fine. No problems at all, not even one ever
Still rocking gen 2 AirPods. Honestly no reason to upgrade until they die. Still great battery life. Fit is a lot better than the gen 3-4 style. Am not a fan of the pro rubber tip style. Have the gen 1 max as well and are amazing.

I got the AirPods Pro 2 USB-C when they were launched. As a first time buyer of any form of AirPods, (minus the ones that came with iPhones and iPods) I must say it was an excellent choice. The ONLY downside to AirPods is the way they update. Why not have an update function in the settings like Apple Watches do?

My pro 2’s have been replaced twice in one year. Following that (and right after AppleCare expired) the top of the case lid just fell off.

I’ve been saying that AirPods Pro 2s are a no brainer. I agree fitment on the 1s were terrible. I bought them the first week they came out then the soon returned them. Couple years later I thought I’d give another try at the pros and it was night and day. Noise canceling, way better fitment, MagSafe wireless charging! Find my with AirTag, usbc! Love my pros 2
