Aw, this isn't the whole interview. There's the part after the commercial where Gene and Roger debate who is more accurate on predicting Oscar winners. Followed by Conan shrieking in mock anguish "STOP IT!" and assuring Andy: "Mommy and daddy love each other."
There hasn't been a household name in movie reviews since these guys. Growing up the term, "Siskel and Ebert gave it two thumbs up" almost always meant it was going to be a good movie.
Oh please, all he was doing was trying to get a rise out of each of them by pitting questions against each other. Pathetic attempt to do an interview. Carson was the master whenever he had them on his show.
I love these retro clips but there’s no reason that you could not have put both segments together as one. Also, where is the Conan website that you were supposed to put all of your episodes on? Still waiting. I know HBO Max won’t do anything for you anymore because they seem like they are crazy but I think a late night with Conan O’Brien video archive would be amazing.
That comb over, when I saw it, I couldn't help but think it had to be a joke. How could that have possibly been seriously styled. But then I remembered the 80's and 90's. . .
No they wouldn't because we still get many many great movies every year. Terrible movies also came out when they were reviewed movies they have just all been forgotten about.
It's too bad that Siskel started to become more humble around the time he had his brain tumor. Early Siskel is so overbearing and brash, he comes off as entitled.

These guys were true treasures.
Legends. Miss those two
These two also had some great appearances on The Howard Stern Show.

I love how Conan can steer the conversation, truly a master in his craft.

NBC Universal owns the Late Night content. I don't think Team Coco is managing this channel, NBC is.
You’re gonna change the world one day, I can feel it
@@atatur123 Conan bought his entire body of work
Love s&e so much!
i miss these guys
Blade Runner is mooted to be a possible Thanksgiving movie, as it takes place in November.
man my family and i watched them as a kid. In my early 20s i sold shoes at the world famous Altmans Shoes. They were both my shoe customers.
I tended to side more often than not with Ebert.
Comb overs are funny

They would be spinning in their graves if they saw what movies have come to now.

@@octavius8562 Nice BURN!!!
Yes. They would be echoing what Scorsese, Coppola, and Tarantino are saying. Modern movies are 99% garbage.
You say that as if there weren't any bad movies in the '90s lol
@@octavius8562 for example?
As a Gen Z-er it amazes me that late night was once funny
Well, Ebert got second billing, but he also lived longer, so it balances out.
i only remember every movie with nude scenes they gave 2 thumbs up
Incorrect. Showgirls had nude scenes and it got two thumbs down.
Blue velvet didnt get the approval of ebert
Andy looks so young here.
Sad how little Conan gets out of them compared to the great interviews they did with Carson and Letterman.
Lol they were so cute together, cutest heterosexual partnership 😂🤍
❤😂🎉

Which I believe didn't happen until early '98, long after this interview.
@@speedyboris 1 year is long to you?
😂
Spoiling movies since the 70's.
So annoying!! CONAN keeps interrupting them
