  • Hey Y'all! Today Laura has a step-by-step guide on how to find and replace an AC Blower Motor on this 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe and many other vehicles. This particular motor made a very loud chirping, squeaking sound when the AC was turned on. Others can have more of a buzzing or whirring sound.
    We hope this helps save you time and money on your own repair project! Subscribe, Like, Comment & Share. We appreciate your support!
    **(IMPORTANT: The issue may be easily fixed by clearing out any debris that may be clogging the motor/surrounding cavity, so we recommend that you pull it out to inspect it before buying a replacement motor)**

    05 Tahoe - The blower motor was making that same excruciating sound off and on for a while until it just stopped (died) about a week ago. It was cutting in and out (on and off) for a few days but it's not doing anything now. I was going to take it to my mechanic but after having watched this video (thanks by the way), I'll be doing this job myself later on today!

    Thanks for the tab placement tip! My '04 Sierra was making rattling noise for 2 yrs at least and recently got louder. After removing the blower fan, found old papers and slipped being the glove ox and werr around the blower fan and some acorn shells inside too. Cleaned and blew it out. Kick plate and blower removal were kind of easy from watching another video, but fought 4+ hrs over 2 days trying to put the blower fan back. Should have watched this one too re: the tab detail - superb camera work and great info. No more noise! 💯👏🏼

      Hi Lee! We're not sure what the exact name is for that, but we recommend checking the owner's manual and part diagrams online. It's possible that it's a mount of some kind, you may want to use that as a keyword in your search. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching!

    NEVER buy an aftermarket heater motor, such as Dorman, Bosch or Murry. You'll end up taking it out, because they don't fit right. ALWAYS buy original OEM AC Delco parts, they fit perfectly.

    • @hopfammedia
      @hopfammedia  ปีที่แล้ว +3

  • @calitalia2000

    Save yourself some money and keep the original. If it's just making some racket but still working, you can spray some love into the small hole in the black plastic. Should take care of your issue. I used lithium grease into it with the tube that every can of lube has, and it took care of my issue. No need to replace it.
