    This video has really changed how I now approach the things that have caused me the most anxiety. Instead of trying to avoid whatever is making me feel that way and hope it goes away, I choose to handle the thing that scares me to the best of my ability instead (cause really what else can you do). This little tweak alone has been very effective at allowing me to stay calm and collected which has naturally lead to clearer thinking, which leads to better outcomes and reduced fear in the future. JP is the man!

    I'm seriously considering taking the biggest risk of my life in several months, leaving my job of nearly 30 years to attempt self employment, the result could be wonderful, or catastrophic, no in between really which has me hesitating, however the situation at my job is becoming more and more unbearable.

      I hated my job and quit it only one month ago and now I started studying at university. I'm only 24 though and have been working there for 5 years, which of course, is no comparison to 30 years. But still, I feel so much better-it's not even a comparison.

      You might consider applying part time at another company. That will support you in the beginning and takes the load from your new business, allowing it to grow and develop before it needs to support you, which in turn makes it more likely that you'll succeed.
      Best of luck!

    • @dkstudioart
      @dkstudioart 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TechtimeStories Actually I'm reconsidering. I have no reason to believe I can scale this up enough. I need to have better success with it as a side thing before I can have confidence in it.

    I find that when I focus on doing just one thing I am afraid of a day, the second after I complete the deed I feel powerful and happy, even if it doesn’t go the way I want it to, I know I tried and that is better than anything.

      There’s two kinds of risks: actionable risk, and dormant risk. What you are describing here is dormant risk, which is different to what Jordan is talking about. Jordan is in the favour of actionable risk, as this generates productivity. You find that people who have been through trauma and who are extremely anxiety driven justify taking dormant risks as a coping method. I hope What I’ve said can release you from your trauma, and if not, then know that we will enter times where people will be more aware of risk taking in order for people to have great lives and synergise with others. Like tesla said, resonance frequency is where revolutionary changes will be made, if we all focus on making actionable risks, we will survive longer as a species.
