when I did my stage one I went with the se pro tuner just in case of warranty issues. got 2 years of warranty so don't want to jeopardize. you are pretty tight with Orlando Harley so you probably checked with them I am sure.
I wanted him so bad to say at 9:00 "For those that don't know what that means your warrantee is not void". Great vid. How is that fuel pack treating you. Was looking into that one too! Please let us know how you like it!
Really nice vid bro. Have you ever heard of HD ecu's learning new maps when you change intake and exhaust? Im skeptical and think you need a programmer. Thanks
So, with Harley getting VERY tuff on the warranty of the motor. Are you concerned about having voided the warranty? I Have been told by more than one dealership that if the stock exhaust is replaced and or an aftermarket tuner is used, than the warranty is null and void. A friend of mine just had to have his 2019 CVO Street Glides motor replaced with only 600 miles on it. Was told if any changes had been made such as the ones mentioned than the warranty would definitely be voided. The motor was replaced because it sumped. Just curious of what you know about this. Thanks for the video.
Since you guys are such gear heads i know you can help a brother out on this question. I have the FP3 and did wires and plugs, do i need to retune or should it be ok? Thankyou!! Love your channel!!
Hey Blockhead, I would e-mail V&H ask them what they suggest and run a few autotuned sessions. When done you can send them the map and they will tweak it for you. FP3 is what I use for stage 1 applications, if I go bigger stage 2 cams etc then I would use Power Vision or Thundermax. I think you will be fine enjoy or channel.
question ... when you go to hookup the FP3 and there is only 5 pins but a place for the 6th pin but no pin. is this correct or am I missing a pin for a what ever reason. help
Hi. I have 2017 fatboy FLSTF with cobra slipons. I want to know that FP3 will increase significant performance? I will not go for stage 2 or 3. So should i install FP3?
I'll be interested to know if you have any issues in the heat. I have a 2018 street bob, live in Vegas, and after my engine was good and hot if I filled up on gas and immediately started riding it would go into limp mode after ~1 mile. It didn't happen if I let it sit a little after fueling. This issue persisted even after getting a new ECM and and changing tuners to the DynoJet Power vision. Still no resolution for me. I just take my time when gassing up now.
Good video. I've been having trouble with my FP3 on my 17 fatboy S with the 110. I just installed the bassani sweepers exhaust. Just like u had on your Lowrider S. At the dealership my bike was throwing alot of codes. that the fualpack wasnt getting. I think I need to get ahold of Vince n Hines to see what's up with it
Hi blackhead I've just bought a new 114 fatboy I've asked them to put a Vance and Hines big radious exhaust on whilst it's in there shop The guy said the need to remap it also Does this mean they will be doing what you have done so a stage 1 ?
I bought a '19 Slim and it's just as much a pain in the ass to find a place to store the FP3. I haven't ran AutoTune so I'm looking forward to seeing how it's done.
Yep That's what I did when I flashed my '19 Slim last week. FP3 back in the box. Bike is running smooth with more get up and go for sure. Butt dyno approved!
What is the typical MPG loss on a 2019 FLTRXS doing a Stage 1???? I am planning on the Wedge cleaner, SE tuner and Cobra Neighbor Haters. Thank you for any help.
Thank you for your quick reply. What exhaust are you running??? My concern is that on my other bikes I have done Stage 1s and my MPG went down too much. I travel long distances so the less gas stops I can do, the better for the trip. I went to Texas from Pennsylvania and I had to stop every 150-160 miles to fuel on a 2012 FLSTN. On my new bike, I did 250 miles stops and I only had to put around 5 gallons to fill. A 750 miles day is easier when you only have to stop for fuel 3 times and not 5 times.
Seeing that you don't like the orange stripe on the tank maybe you could get some automotive vinel in gold. then you should be able to put it over the orange yourself.
Blockhead, why did you choose that tuner? Can you PW protect that so some chump can't just roll up and retune your bike? Pretty sure that auto tune will just try to change your AFR to 14.7:1 since you only have 12mm O2 sensors. Good for mileage, crappy for performance. Also, I'll swap you timing covers from an FXFBS for the one from your FXDR. Let me know... thanks for the vid.
BLOCKHEAD Awesome thanks for he info and the great videos! I have a 2018 Fatbob 114 and I’m trying to decide if I want to get just slip on or full exhaust. I’m thinking of going for the short shots or the l rinehart mufflers

Did you do Dyno runs stock, intake, exhaust, tune. Supprising sometimes a tune on a stock bike results in more gain than pipes. Would be interesting to see where the most gains are and how good the stock intake was. Thanks for the videos; makes the winters go a little quicker.
Just curious, I’m assuming get lowered provided you with the fuelpak, but it’s still cool with them (get lowered) that you also provided links to purchase the tuner at revzilla ?
The FP3 seems easy to install, but doesn’t it void your factory warranty? And you spoke of having previous experience with these tuners... I have the MoCo’s Street Tuner (cuz warranty) with my stage 1, but would like to use the FP3 with an aftermarket cam, do you know of any ECM “marriage” issues from going from the Street tuner to the FP3?
Some dealers care that you use a tuner and aftermarket parts, some don't. Marriage isn't a problem. Basically it just locks that tuner to that VIN number. That way you can't but one and go tune everyone's bike.
Nice informative video. Looking at the bike I wonder if there'll be a swing arm bag option & if it would even look right on this bike..? A little more storage space is always nice to have.

I was told that the 114’s already have a high flow air cleaner from factory. Any truth to this?
that is correct.
robert lumsden any benefit to aftermarket other than style if that is the case? Or is high flow just high flow and that is that?
not sure really. cfm is the amount of air it can pull that is about it and how much is enough. an engineer might be able to answer this.

One bike only, marries to one bike VIN and can’t be used to tune others. You can use it to read trouble codes on other bikes though.
