      Yeah the excuses are a little lame, but we still owe a debt to God who by plan linked the Salvation of Mankind thru his chosen nation to bless many Nations. Genesis 12:1-3
      The Jewish people today" aren't responsible for uhm misreading the Messiah memo left by God. Their leadership failed them in many ways. Very human phenomena, we would've did it too. Just take a look at this sick world we live in
      Recent finds in Central America still unearth the horrific skull altars of the bizzare world of the Aztecs.
      So I approach this matter with much respect for them as any nation given the task as light unto the nations would've failed, by Gods foreknowledge it was prescripted, produced, and acted out by God Himself as the lead star in His own production Salvation 101.
      Thank you God.

      Larry Speakman that verse is straight from the Tanach. So the romans changed the Tanach huh? What about this verse from your Tanach? Zechariah 12:10
      "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. I suggest you go read your Hebrew Bible and stop letting rabbis interpret the Word of God for you. No one tempered with the Totah nor the entire Tanach. Why have rabbis forbidden the people of Israel to read portions of God’s written Word? They obviously don’t want you to know the truth

      Larry Speakman what about this verse in your Tanach?? 1Who has believed our message?
      And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
      2He grew up before Him like a tender shoot,
      and like a root out of dry ground.
      He had no stately form or majesty to attract us,
      no beauty that we should desire Him.
      3He was despised and rejected by men,
      a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief.
      Like one from whom men hide their faces,
      He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.
      4Surely He took on our infirmities
      and carried our sorrows;b
      yet we considered Him stricken by God,
      struck down and afflicted.
      5But He was pierced for our transgressions,
      He was crushed for our iniquities;
      the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him,
      and by His stripes we are healed.c
      6We all like sheep have gone astray,d
      each one has turned to his own way;
      and the LORD has laid upon Him
      the iniquity of us all.
      7He was oppressed and afflicted,
      yet He did not open His mouth.
      He was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
      and as a sheep before her shearers is silent,
      so He did not open His mouth.
      8By oppression and judgment He was taken away,
      and who can recount His descendants?
      For He was cut off from the land of the living;e
      He was stricken for the transgression of My people. Isaiah 53. Why don’t you tell God that these verses mean nothing? Those are His words not the romans

      4The LORD has sworn
      and will not change His mind:
      “You are a priest forever
      in the order of Melchizedek.”b
      5The Lord is at Your right hand;
      He will crush kings in the day of His wrath.
      6He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead;
      He will crush the leaders far and wide.

    While on Earth Jesus was a tzitzit-wearing, Torah observant, Seventh Day Sabbath-keeping, Feast-keeping, Biblically kosher Israelite from the tribe of Yehudah/Judah who came to proclaim the Kingdom of YHWH; not to bring any "religion" or to abolish His Father's Divine Instructions in Righteousness (Torah), without which we would have NO blueprint for moral, holy living (Matthew 5:17-19).
    Isaiah 53:1-12 says, "Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by G-d, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned-every one-to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people? And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth. Yet it was the will of the LORD to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors."
    Some people insist that "Jesus abolished/fulfilled (as in brought an end to) the law" and that all one has to do today is to "believe in Jesus." Hardly anyone seems to realize that, what Jesus attempted to "do away with" was not the Father's divine instructions, but the rabbinical, man-made "stuff". Even Rabbi Saul aka the Apostle Paul verified this when he said: Do we then nullify the Law through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law. (Romans 3:31). You will find YHWH's original commandments sprinkled throughout Torah in places like Genesis 26:2-5; Exodus 15:25-27, 16, 20:6; Leviticus 22, 26, 27; Numbers 15 and 36; and Deuteronomy ch. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31.
    Jesus said in John 3:13-18, "No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man [Jesus]. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. 'For G-d so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For G-d did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of G-d" (Reference: Acts 7:54-56).
    Jesus Christ is righteousness/godliness revealed in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16), declaring G-d whom no one has seen (John 1:18), the everlasting Father who dwells in Him (John 14:10, 2 Corinthians 5:19). Indeed, He is the Word made flesh (John 1:14), the visible image of the invisible G-d (Colossians 1:15), and the exact representation of His nature (Hebrews 1:3) for in Him the fullness of deity was pleased to dwell in bodily form (Colossians 2:9) just as the prophet Isaiah foretold (Isaiah 11:1-2). He is Emmanuel, "G-d with us" (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23), the arm of YHWH revealed (Isaiah 53:1; Exodus 6:6). And so when we see Him we see the Father (John 14:9), when we hear Him we hear the Father (John 7:16, 12:49, 14:10,24). He is the Aleph and the Tav, the beginning and the completion (Revelation 1:8, 22:12-13); the Living Bread that came out of Heaven (John 6:51) whose origins are of old (Micah 5:2). All things have been created by, through, and for Him (John 1:3, Colossians 1:16-17, Hebrews 1:1), and all things and all authority on Heaven and Earth have been given to Him (Matthew 11:27, 28:18). As such He is the true G-d (1 John 5:20) whose throne is forever (Hebrews 1:8) and at His Name, every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that HE IS THE LORD which brings glory to the Father (Philippians 2:9-11) the One who has completed His work through Him (Matthew 26:39, Luke 22:42, John 4:34, 6:38), and finally, it is finished (John 19:30). I believe that G-d became incarnate in the person of Jesus Christ; that He was conceived of Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) and was born of the virgin Miryam (Mary); that He is truly G-d and truly man; that He lived a perfect, sinless life; that all His teachings are true (Isaiah 14:1ff.; Matthew 1:23). I believe that Jesus died on the cross for all mankind as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice (I. John 2:2; Isaiah 53:5-6). I hold that His death is efficacious for all who believe; that our justification is ground in the shedding of His blood; and that it is attested by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (John 1:12; Acts 16:31; Romans. 5:9; Ephesians 1:17; Matthew 28:6; I. Peter 1:3).

      Funnily enough, George RR Martin found out that he is part Jewish. His grandmother was Catholic (English/Irish) and was married to an Italian. The grandmother got pregnant, and the husband left her. No one knew what happened. George assumed that he was English/Irish with some Italian. He did a DNA test and found out that he has 22.5% Jewish ancestry.
      The Italian guy went and had kids with another woman. They tested the DNA of the kids with George and found no relationship. Basically George's grandmother had an affair, her husband left her, and settled down with someone else.

      My response, this is a faith based statement and thus worthless. I could respond in kind and say the proper path is not jesus. Would that response speak to you in a personal manner? I assume it wouldn't. The same is true on my part. Saying the proper path is jesus means nothing.
      You state "God has no favourites one way, one truth,"
      My response, so now you're telling God that He is a liar when He said that the Israelites are the apple of His eye? Who are you to dictate to God if He has favorites or not? If I came into your house and said I demand your furniture because it is mine, what would your response be?
      You state "one Jesus the true messiah"
      My response, how in the world can you possibly make such an absurd claim? jesus the Messiah? How absurd. There is no Jew ever born in history who was less qualified to be the Messiah than jesus of the new test. Even my sister is more qualified than jesus to be the Messiah. Actually even my dead grandmother is more qualified.
      & if you don't believe me, just wait another 2,000 years and you will see I am right. My dead grandmother died for your sins. & one day she will come back in glory and every knee shall bow to her. & if you reject my grandmother you reject God. Sound familiar?
      Now tell me, why does jesus qualify as the Messiah more than my dead grandmother. & then prove your claim. This I want to see.

      @Michael Houghton, any person who doesn't ask for a sign for a claim is a fool. God didn't make me to be a fool. Also, signs prove nothing if one's word does not align with God's.
      The story you say never happened and more importantly, it does not align with God's word. & the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is not your God. Your god is jesus. Tell me you deny jesus is God and then you can perhaps claim that the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is your God as well. Otherwise all you follow is a Greek and Roman idol by a different name.

      It is false to say that the descendants of King David have no records. I personally met a rabbi who knew descendants to this day who have kept authentic records of their genealogy all up to king David.
      Before Titus destroyed the second temple, we learned in our history that Rabbi Yohanan ben Zakkai went to Vespisian asked that Gamliel= a member of the Sandhedrin and also a direct descendant of King David and Solomon be spared from the hands of the Romans and be relocated to Yavneh for safety. There they will be free to continue learning the TORAH. They have brought with them their records. Only the 2 most important tribes continue to preserve records of their lineages for a reason: the Levis and Yehudah.
      I personally know of Levis who traces their records up to 2000 years ago.
      We know that our Jewish Messiah will show his book of lineage to prove his father's lineage up to King David. This debunks yeshu's lineage where the NT said that his father is G-d who does not belong to any tribe, therefore proving that he is not the messiah. So Xtians....you have been wrong all along and quit missionizing Jews.

      Jesus is a motif based in astro-theology. He was never meant to be literal, but an allegorical tale for self and spiritual improvement. He is based on an old pagan motif of a suffering dying savior, just like Dionysus Bacchus. When the Jews were in constant rebellion, the Romans took the old pagan motif, mixed it with Jewish Messianic fervor, and presto, a Jewish god man messiah. The Romans did this to try and placate the Jews. Study the ancient writings. Learn to use your mind, to question, and to think. It's time we evolve.

      If you bothered to read the Torah, then you would know a few things. First, J broke every single law of sacrifices being one. Second blood sacrifices could only atone for unittentional sins between you and G-d, and finally, G-d provided much better and more preferred ways to clear sins other than blood. J simple isn't one of them.

      @@garyweiss7111 O blind one, all these sacrifices pointed to the one true perfect sacrifice, Jesus Christ, for animals were never perfect and could never atone for your sins but were a foreshadow of the one true sacrifice, and all these sacrifices were just a temporary means of covering sins. Isaiah 9:6 points to the one who is the perfect sacrifice. Dan 9:25-26 points to the perfect one, the Prince of Peace, who is the Messiah, and who shall be cut off, sacrificed,
      "25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
      26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined."
      Show me where Jesus broke every single law satan?? Show me where the bible says intention sins can't be forgiven?? So then, David, Solomon, all these men were condemned. God provided a more preferred way, not ways, and that way was by the means of Jesus Christ. Tell me, since you can't sacrifice for sins in the temple or in a sanctuary, where is your high priest? How is your sins forgiven?? You're a sinner in the face of the Torah, and without a means to except the penalty of your transgression against the law, you will be weighed and found wanting... You will be condemned to damnation without faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the sinless perfect life which fulfilled the law. That isn't a guess, that's a surety!!

      With all due respect, Jesus (peace be upon him), was not that prophet foretold by Moses(peace be upon him).
      Read Acts 3 17-24.
      These verses tell us that Jesus had died and ascended to heaven but the prophecy of Deuteronomy 18:18 was still being repeated so how can he be that prophet when he died and went to heaven? Prophecy points to Muhammad (peace be upon him).
      Just a few similarities.
      1. Both received their first revelations on a mountain and were given their mission.
      2. Both were Shepherds.
      3. Both emerged from the same region from modern Saudi Arabia when they claimed prophethood.
      4. Moses became a prophet after 40 years being a Shepherd, Muhammad (peace be upon them both) at 40.
      5. Both spoke the words of God.
      6. Both were accused of using magic
      7. Both fled from assassination attempts, Moses fled to Midian from Egypt and Muhammad (peace be upon them) from Mecca to Medina.

      @Allen Marlin Yes you're right, He doesn't require human sacrifice from us, we're sinful and cannot pay that debt even if we tried. But that's why God the Father sent His one and only Son, Lord Jesus, which is God in the flesh, to die for our sins and the sins of the world. Lord Jesus is the Lamb of God! Nothing about this is a fantasy, it's all true, but you have to believe, where is your faith my friend? (For He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5: 21) The "might" in that verse is there for one reason and it is this, rather you believe that He has done this or not. But to be saved by Him requires faith in God's one and only Son our Savior and Messiah Yeshua.

      @@thomasranjit7781, you state "every prophises Christ fullfilled I give u open challenge."
      My response, ok, show me one prophecy he initiated that came true.
      You state "Lord Jesus Christ spoke the many events preceeding his second coming......... every prophises has come true including the increase in earthquakes."
      My response, what second coming? Where did he come a second time? See, that's the whole point. There never was a second coming despite the fact that he claimed he would come back during his own generation. You might want to read the book of Matthew chapter 24 with special emphasis on verse 24 of the chapter.
      The new test is nothing more than lies and failed prophecies and contradictions of the true word of God. (the Torah)
      You might want to actually study the Hebrew Scriptures in context and with a good translation such as that provided by ArtScroll publications & you will see for yourself how the new test writers twist the word of God for their own personal agenda.
      Tell me this. Why does the new test lie when quoting Isaiah chapter 7 (verse 14) and claim Isaiah spoke about a virgin birth when Isaiah never said such a thing? (look up a proper translation of the word Hebrew word 'almah' which is used there)
      Why does the new test say that out of Egypt I called My son as stated in the Book of Hosea chapter 11 (verse 1) is a reference to jesus when the verse is actually speaking about Israel? Ironically enough the next verse (verse 2) there says *the son* worshiped idols. So if this is really about jesus then it means that the new test is saying that jesus was an idol worshiper.
      Why does the new test make up a story about Herod trying to kill babies under the age of 2 and then try to claim this was a fulfillment of a prophecy in Jeremiah (look up chapter 31 verses 14,15,16) when Jeremiah never speaks about anybody being killed there and is in fact speaking of the exiles to Babylon after the destruction of the first Temple whom God says will return (in verse 16) and thus are not dead at all?

      Consider, too, that the Pharisees do not exist today as a Jewish sect. Many were followers of the Messiah and could not remain as Pharisees.
      Now, I do agree that there are those in our society who have Pharisical tendencies, but they too, can be transformed by the grace of God. So, I must respectfully disagree. Pharisees can change and thanks be to God they do. If He can change me, He can change anybody.

      @@sarpsarp8987 There seems to be a big misunderstanding about Jesus from the perspective of Jews. He himself was not Catholic, but a Torah observant Jew.
      I just wanted to mention Jesus (his historical Jewish name he was called by was Yeshua- meaning Salvation) was crucified in 33 A.D. by the Roman Empire, and Catholicism was not established until 312 A.D. by the Roman Empirer Constantine. There was 300 years of extreme persecution to Jesus’ Jewish and Greek followers by the Roman Government under Nero, Domitian, Marcus Aurelius, Decius, Trebonianus Gallus, Emperor Valerian, and Augustus Diocletian before Constantine allowed everyone to enjoy religious freedom, and later, he founded Catholicism, the Roman Government’s religion. They might have tried to include it under “Christianity” down the road, but they proudly defied the Bible and proclaimed supremacy over God and the Bible and perverted it completely because of the greed of money. They built sprawling places of ‘worship’ with the money they received by telling their followers that they could pay for a place in heaven, and pay to have their sins forgiven. They certainly did not know or follow Jesus’ teachings, and they went against him in every way. They later forced everyone including Christians, Jews, Romans, and Greeks to become Catholic….or die. They had many inquisitions, including against Jesus’ own people, the Jews. Jesus had no connection with Catholicism, yet many of the world religions were so inspired by his teachings that many wanted to include him in their religion. He, however, included no one. He said “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me.” The New Testiment was written by Jews for Jews showing how Yeshua fullfilled the prophecies of the Torah and Tanakh for the Messiah. He was crucified down to the day Daniel the prophet predicted the ‘Anointed One’ would be cut off from his people. (Daniel 9:26After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. )
      The Sanctuary was destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D. …… 33 years after Yeshua’s crucifixion.
      Jesus is the most famous Jewish Rabbi in history. He taught the Torah in the 2nd Temple in Jerusalem, lived from 4 B.C. to 33 A.D., his 12 disciples were Jewish, he himself was from the tribe of Judah, he observed the Jewish feasts, was crucified on Passover in Jerusalem, the same day the sacrificial lamb was being killed for the sins of Israel. Exactly 2000 years before Jesus was born, in 2004 B.C., Abraham offered his first born son Isaac on the alter on Mount Moriah. God stopped him and said he would provide the sacrifice himself. Abraham looked up and saw a ram with a crown of thorns on his head, caught in a thicket. It was said there of that place, “the Lord will provide.” Exactly 2000 years later, God provided. He sent his one and only Son, Yeshua, to be the sacrifice for not just the sins of Israel, but the sins of the world. Jesus was crucified with a crown of thorns on his head just outside of the city gate of Jerusalem in 33 A.D., on Mount Moriah, in the exact same place Abraham offered his one and only son Isaac. The Roman Procurator Pontius Pilate twisted together a crown of thorns for his head and the soldiers offered him vinegar mixed with gall to drink. They pulled out his beard, spit on him, and flogged him 39 times. They pierced his hands and his feet, and later pierced him in his side with a spear, to make sure he was dead before they took him down from the cross. The Romans wrote a sign above him that read “King of the Jews”. He was given the death of a criminal, -Crucifixion- the most severe punishment executed by the Roman Government, yet was laid in a rich man’s tomb- Joseph of Arimathea laid him in his own tomb cut out of the rock. 2000 years before Abraham was born, Adam was born, in 4004 B.C. and death and sin came to us all from one man. The Abrahamic religions that we know today is just a product of Messopotamia sumarian mythology these Messopotamia civilization has a culture that believe in Gods, the first man and woman is Adam and eve, Noah that saves humanity from flood etc this is clearly in Sumarian culture...... That brought by Abraham to Canaan soon became Israel in ancient times. This Israelites/Hebrews people created a religion that based on Messopotamia ideologies they called it Judaism they believe in one God and a messiah messiah...... That soon evolved to another religion Christianity.... according for Christians the Jewish promise messiah is Jesus Christ (Christ means messiah). So that Christianity established in 7AD, then Islam also established in 600AD as they believe also in one God just like Jews., The only difference is Muslims/Muslims perspective claims that Quran is the final book of God and the logical point why he anointed Muhammad as final prophet is to restruct the Torah+Bible that according to Muslims are corrupted books...
      The other side of the civilization is in India Wich is Hinduism, it's the oldest religion in the world. They also believe in God, and that religion is also evolved to other sect like Buddhism, Jainism...
      In ancient china they have also ancient religion Taoism....

    Christianity comes from Judaism. If there’s a conflict of theology, it should not only be known, but discussed openly such as this and often. When it comes to these two, someone is wrong. Wouldn’t you like to know who? Eternity depends on it.
    I understand the New Testament not being reliable along with Jews saying there is no God before God or in addition to and so forth. I have yet to find a Christian to give me an accurate and educated response to this. They’ll quote a book written by Paul the false apostle or someone 2-3 times removed from Yeshua for an argument. I want to see it in the old text. The Jews were accurate in their record keeping and scripture. This should be a simple deal.

    If Isaiah 53 is referenced to Jewish nation then in Isaiah 53:7 it says He was oppressed and afflicted yet he did not open his mouth and he was silent as a sheep before his shearers.
    This Rabbi is really gentle and nice but if we look back to history we see how Jews have rebelled against higher authority ,we all know about the revolts under the Roman empire and most importantly the Siege of Jerusalem so Jews have not been silent under oppressors it was only Jesus who was silent.
    Paul himself says that it was for the hope of Israel that he is doing this. This was in his letter to the Romans. God really loves His children Israel. And we also know that Paul once persecuted christians thinking he was working for God and so was so much patriotic to his nation. Then how could that same man change to even give up his life for Christ and declaring that it was in the hope of Israel that he was undergoing these trials.

    • @c.linfordnitin7390
      @c.linfordnitin7390 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Ken Brownsher hello brother
      See children here means children of God. Everyone knows that the temple curtain was torn into 2 the moment Jesus died on the cross. That means now all who believe in Jesus have become children of God.
      And the division of spoils with the mighty, that verse means that God has exalted Jesus above every other name now and soon that will be visible physically. He will come back and the government shall be upon His shoulder.
      And if these verses actually really referred to Jews then again the question of them not opening their mouth under opression stands.....as we know how they revolted Roman rule.
      And to conclude the chapter also says "yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living"
      So earth is the land of the living and Jews were not fully wiped out of the land. They were exiled.
      It was Jesus who was cut off from the living but again saw the light of life.
      We all know that people never die for something false. Then how is it possible that a few men from there just about 2000 years ago gave up their life for Him? It was in the hope of a coming kingdom.
      Have a blessed day and stay safe.

      @Ken Brownsher yeah exactly..........when Christ opened his mouth it was game over but not for us it was game over for satan........now God can be worshipped by all and from anywhere.........

    The Word of God CANNOT have different interpretations. Isaiah 7:14 clearly states a virgin will give birth to a son and He shall be called Immanuel. This is further supported by Isaiah 9:6. What I find interesting is that many Jews do not accept any prophecies beyond the first 5 Books of Moses, the Torah. There are many other books in the Old Testament that cannot just be thrown out. That is going against the Word of God. There are two covenants. The old under the Law of Moses and the New Covenant under the bloodshed of Jesus as sacrifice to take away the sins of the world. Jesus stated in Matthew 5:17 that He did not come to abolish the Law, but to fulfill. This is very important to those who seek salvation through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Matthew 5:20 states,
    “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of Heaven”.
    It’s important to read the Bible, both Old and New Testaments and really study and ask the Holy Spirit for guidance and understanding and not take the Word of the Lord in vain or interpret it as said to happen with false prophets and teachings. God Bless you all 🙏🏽

      @Paula Wallace Paula, I appreciate your tearing apart of the dumb mercenary arguments due to their obvious mistranslations or overt bastardization of the texts meaning.
      I really do...at the same time I find your fighting them on their own ground, i.e. that any of these are actual prophecies and some messianic age is coming, to be troubling. We have done critical analysis of these books. Isaiah had at least 3 authors and was written and edited over centuries. Daniel was mostly written in the 2nd century, not the 6th. How coincidental that it gets all the events from about 600 B.C. to 167 B.C. correct and then goes absolutely 0-for on any prophecy after that. Hmmm? I wonder why. Maybe because the author/authors, knew of the events between 600B.C. and then because they were HISTORY.
      We need to stop arguing with these people wherein their basic premise that these are real prophecies is correct and they just have the wrong interpretation. That will never work. They need to be educated about the actual authorship and dating of these works. They need to be educated that these so called prophecies are actually history being told via allegory for the express purpose of having POLITICAL and CULTURAL effects of the jewish people living when the books were written. THAT WAS THEIR PURPOSE! This needs to be the argument. Not, "you misinterpret and mistranslate"...no matter how true that also may be.

In fact many of his epistles are the ONLY works that scholars believe were actually written by the claimed writer.
      You can be religious and find meaning in the Bible without being myopic enough to think the claimed author is actually the author the VAST majority of the time (especially in the Old Testament). Jesus is the only way to heaven. Such an exclusive statement may confuse, surprise, or even offend, but it is true nonetheless. The Bible teaches that there is no other way to salvation than through Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself says in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” He is not a way, as in one of many; He is the way, as in the one and only. No one, regardless of reputation, achievement, special knowledge, or personal holiness, can come to God the Father except through Jesus.
    Jesus is the only way to heaven for several reasons. Jesus was “chosen by God” to be the Savior (1 Peter 2:4). Jesus is the only One to have come down from heaven and returned there (John 3:13). He is the only person to have lived a perfect human life (Hebrews 4:15). He is the only sacrifice for sin (1 John 2:2; Hebrews 10:26). He alone fulfilled the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 5:17). He is the only man to have conquered death forever (Hebrews 2:14-15). He is the only Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). He is the only man whom God has “exalted . . . to the highest place” (Philippians 2:9).
    Jesus spoke of Himself as the only way to heaven in several places besides John 14:6. He presented Himself as the object of faith in Matthew 7:21-27. He said His words are life (John 6:63). He promised that those who believe in Him will have eternal life (John 3:14-15). He is the gate of the sheep (John 10:7); the bread of life (John 6:35); and the resurrection (John 11:25). No one else can rightly claim those titles.
    The apostles’ preaching focused on the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Peter, speaking to the Sanhedrin, clearly proclaimed Jesus as the only way to heaven: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Paul, speaking to the synagogue in Antioch, singled out Jesus as the Savior: “I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin” (Acts 13:38-39). John, writing to the church at large, specifies the name of Christ as the basis of our forgiveness: “I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name” (1 John 2:12). No one but Jesus can forgive sin.
    Eternal life in heaven is made possible only through Christ. Jesus prayed, “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” (John 17:3). To receive God’s free gift of salvation, we must look to Jesus and Jesus alone. We must trust in Jesus’ death on the cross as our payment for sin and in His resurrection. “This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe” (Romans 3:22).
    At one point in Jesus’ ministry, many of the crowd were turning their backs on Him and leaving in hopes of finding another savior. Jesus asked the Twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” (John 6:67, ESV). Peter’s reply is exactly right: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God” (John 6:68-69, ESV). May we all share Peter’s faith that eternal life resides only in Jesus Christ

    The word "virgin" is not in Isaiah. Isaiah used the Hebrew word almah, which simply means "young woman." He did not used the word "betulah", which means virgin. So the Rabbi is correct there. Isaiah's textannounces that the woman is with child, which hardly qualifies her to be a virgin. When Isaiah was translated into Greek, the translators rendered almah with the Greek word parthenos. Only in that Greek word does the hint of virginity enter the text.

      6 All we like sheep did go astray,
      We turned every one to his own way;
      And the LORD hath made to light on him
      The iniquity of us all.
      7 He was oppressed, though he humbled himself
      And opened not his mouth;
      As a lamb that is led to the slaughter,

The bible is not a book but collection of 66 books. 27 books in the new testament mentions the existence of Jesus which proves Jesus existed, and those books show the necessary and required proof that it was prophesied in the old testament (in all 39 books in the OT there is a evidence of Jesus being Messiah one way or another) that Jesus is the promised Messiah, God incarnate to save the world from its sins. Judaism isn't the only religion where it was written that God would send someone (Jesus) to take the sins of the world. Example, the ancient Hindus prophesied that God would send a man who would be born through a virgin and would die on wood (cross. There wasn't a word for cross at that time) for the sins of the world. Then who ever would believe in him would be given eternal life. I would urge Christians to not blindly support your faith and read Tanakh in its entirety from a Hebrew source before making any decisions on how you want to worship. Read it in English that’s fine, but be careful of the changing of definitions of commonly used words for the purposes of fitting it in with Christian beliefs. Judaism is not a religion of “believing”, all Jews are required to do research and search for god to know him. The “proofs” provided by Christian’s are almost always very clearly wrong, this rabbi was just being polite. As an Orthodox Jew who has devoted much time researching the claims made by other major religions, I can tell you it is very easy to disprove Christianity and Islam’s claims. The word “interpretation” was used a lot in this video, which seems to imply that Tanakh is very confusing. I always thought the opposite, Tanakh is very straight forward when you read it from beginning to end and stay as close to the original Hebrew as possible. I pray that everyone has the patience and time to research for the truth before living a life based on easily disprovable source material.
