This show would never play on TV in 2022. All the sexual innuendos and jokes about how people speak and where they are from would send the woke crowd into therapy.
This series is rich with characters . All of them act so naturally . I think one is seeing the actual characteristics of the actors involved . You get that with British actors .

She is just the cutest thing giggling and everything. She held so still while Mr. Lucas put his hand in her skirt, lol, I think she would have taken him home if she could, lol, I just love this show.
I recognize the customer with glasses from another episode. He was an accountant, trying to fit his wife up for a company ball. The domestic fight that erupts with Mrs. Slocombe right in the middle was unforgettable. The wife ended up saying, "it's that woman, isn't it? The secretary on the comptrometer!" Mrs Fox is up to her “Dad’s Army” tricks again with Mr. Lucas.
I love this show because I would hear my dad watching it every night on pbs. He wouldn't let me watch it because it dirty. But when it started coming on on the Saturday night British comedy line up he started letting me watch it. When they done something like the vacuum bit he would pull a face atme but it always turned into a snicker. I think I enjoyed his laughing the most.
I miss the PBS, Saturday night, Brit-com line up. used to be so many good shows in a row 2 Keeping up Appearances, then 2 are you being served? waiting for god, and last of the summer wine. Later my friend and I got into Rosemary & time,Doc martin and father Brown as well as Eastenders, and the Vicar of Dibbly. 😀

I'm glad I work where I work because if you're sick and they tell you you can't go home that makes it an unsafe work zone when you got people going around coughing and hacking all over people unsanitary

The big lady who wanted her outfit altered reminds me of one of James Harriott's books about being a vet. Seems he was clipping a parrot's claws when he dropped the clippers down the owner's dress. She insisted that he go after them.
I always preferred the character of Mr. Mash over Mr. Harmon. Mash was funnier, could push Peacock's button's with less effort, and was easier to understand.

She was Mrs Fox who married Corporal Jones in Dad's Army.. Ms Brahms guested in that as did Mr Grace. Rene guested in this twice. Allo Allo was another great series by the writers.

I always preferred the character of Mr. Mash over Mr. Harmon. Mash was funnier, could push Peacock's button's with less effort, and was easier to understand.
I like Mr. Harmon, he was funny without even trying. Mr. Mash was creepy and to forced.
He was my favorite also!

@@nichloa23 I agree - TOO forced or pushy for the group and I too liked Mr Harmon more. Mr Lucus was slightly stronger than the rest of the original cast but he was hired to be the star since he was the only one with a "name". (documented) They all became stars IMO although we have our favorites. I liked some of the secretaries too.
