In a city run by democrats, it'll NEVER get done! Are you kidding?...

My wife and I went to Cincinnati and there street car was awesome. 2 bucks for a all day pass. It was worth leaving the van in the parking deck for 4 days.

@@edencastillo4417 You have it backwards. When you clean up the crime FIRST, THEN the city will become more attractive. Tourism...new residents...to one of the nation's most violent, crime-infested cities?? Um, no. Duh! For the price of this dumb trolley-folly, barrett could have DOUBLED his police force. Wake up, eden.

@@edencastillo4417 Milwaukee's ding-dong mayor barrett, in fact, just announced the CUTTING of 60 police officer positions recently in that city. Please explain to me how THAT lowers crime?!! Yet, he wants to allocate MORE money to expand the stupid trolley. Insanity on display! As for Sweden, that's the LAST place we should be aspiring to be like. Get real, eden. Sure, rehabs programs are nice, but why not act earlier on in the process so as to avoid the need for as many of them in the first place? With MORE police in the community, apprehensions of criminals earlier on in their pitiful crime careers could be taking place at a higher frequency, and the mere presence of more officers patrolling would send a strong, no BS message and help quell the brazenness the criminal underclass gradually learn to exhibit from ages 11-25. If we only had no-nonsense, tough-on-crime JUDGES in that craptastic city as well, there wouldn't be such a high recidivism rate in the FIRST place! It's the damn juveniles who aren't being apprehended and dealt with firmly enough early on in the process that are evolving into the hardened, repeat-offending, "f-the-police" criminals that plague the city. There's no "guessing" involved in any of this; it's just common sense. Again, wake the hell up!

@@edencastillo4417 You probably find most things associated with common sense to be hilarious. Please show me one of your "studies" (ahem) that shows that CUTTING police positions results in LESS crime. I'll wait...

@@edencastillo4417 A predictable cop-out response. LOL! I just figured, seeing that you're the queen of "studies from Sweden," that you'd have that data immediately at hand, especially because it would fit your dingbat narrative. I'll spoon-feed you the actual, correct response: There ARE no studies that would show cutting police positions results in lower crime rates. It would be galactically moronic to even entertain the notion. HOWEVER, that is EXACTLY what your buddy tom barrett in Milwaukee has done: cut 60 police positions recently in a city with a horrendous crime rate. Strangely (gasp!), I couldn't find any "studies from Sweden" (laughing as I type that) indicating barrett's course of action was an intelligent or statistically defensible thing to do. Odd, hey?!! Perhaps YOU can explain such a decision, "oh-so-enlightened one?!" Ja?!

@@edencastillo4417 Like I mentioned, rehab. efforts (within reason) are fine; I'm not opposed. Pay attention. Keep in mind, however, that certain criminals do not want to be "rehabilitated." A lot of these repeat offender bastards aren't interested in your feel-good programs. They need to be dealt with firmly and resolutely - for the sake of keeping society safe FROM them. What YOU keep scurrying around and avoiding (predictably) is shedding any light whatsoever on exactly HOW cutting 60 police positions (like your hero barrett just did) in a crime-infested city like Milwaukee is an even remotely good idea. Just how exactly does that reduce crime? If it, in fact, doesn't, at least have the integrity to admit it.
