The United fans are backing him now but wait until next season when they win nothing again, they will crucify him, look at how they are treating the players they have now, they are desperate to win the Premiership and he won't be given time. His overall play is so complete. He almost doesn't have any extra touch at all. He makes passes any forward runners in front of him. No selfishness in him at all.

He creates more chances for rashford, garnacho and bruno than they do for him
Rashford holds the ball for too long , trying to dribble past 3 or more defenders then he loses the ball , if he can quickly release the ball to his teammates he can easily be with more goals and assists

Whilst I know strikers are judged on goals, if I see the fundamentals of a good player, that's all I need. Now, the goals are beginning to come as well, as his teammates finally stop being greedy.

yes, agree, striker is mainly judged by their goals, but we also have to apreciate good striker who play more for the team and done good things in the field other than goal, such as Giroud in WC 2018 and Guivarc'h in WC 1998

Give young potential Hojlund a few seasons, he'll become one of the most deadliest forward in world football🎉
The thing about Hojlund, that his teammates are starting to realize, is that if you play him and move, he is as likely to make the pass as to take his own shot. So if you are a bit selfish it actually increase your chance of a goal to give him the ball and get in position, he takes the shot, if that's the best option, but even in the box he sees it if a teammate is in a better position, like Rashford the other day.
I think the last four games has been the biggest step, even if he had scored two less, his teammates now are way more likely to play him by instinct - before them it was more forces. This spring will be big and as a Dane, he can be the game changer for the Euros, because we haven't had a world class striker since Elkjær in the 80's - but we have a very solid team an can he make the extra goals, it can be big.

His attitude is what impresses me most. Having watched United over the last 10 years I certainly know what bad attitude looks like and this lad is a breath of fresh air.
Best thing about watching Hojlund is for the first time in a long time we have someone on the pitch who truly gives his all for the badge and the club, you can see what playing for Manchester United means to him and this has been missing from the club for a long time

Yes he was playing bad until then, the whole team was, plus he was starting to get affected by all the criticism.
A lot of the criticism is simply mental - he was brilliant last year. He has a down period and 90% of the "fans" turn against him. Those are not real fans, but rather mentally ill people who derive all their worth from the football club they are a fan of. They can't handle a little resistance and instead of taking care of their issues they project it all on a football player - in this case Rashford.
These people need to heal and grow up, rather than bashing this player. Yes, he has been bd, but the amount of criticism is way out of line.

Secondly, you can score a goal in a game and still give a shitty overall performance in a match. Hojlund doesn't score in every game yes but his input does not go unnoticed on and off the ball. Lets be honest, Rashford on the other hand if we are not on counter attack, he does not give a whole lot off the ball
