Written off due to his lack of height initially, had he been taller he'd be raved about, immense talent and very underrated.
How can he be so perfect with his tactical supervisions on the ball and off the ball...
If he is at least 6 foot, people wouldnt hesitate calling him the best CB in the world right now. Such an amazing player.

He’d be easier to throw off balance if he was taller. He’s a lot more grounded at his height. Same reason you couldn’t get the ball of messi. Low centre of gravity.

Funny thing is, Ten Hag originally went for Timber, but then couldn't get him, then Martinez personally called Ten Hag and told him that Arsenal wants to sign him, but if Ten Hag needs him in his plans, he will immediately sign for Manchester United.

They only care about the commercial revenue they get. United are a big club so they’re going to make a lot from the commercial side of the game. The player that gave me hope enough to believe in Man U again. He plays with real heart that has been lacking for this team for so long. He gives me the feel of the old-timers Rio, Vidic, Keane, Giggs, Scholes, and so on. Beautiful to see. He'll be crowned a legend if he stays at United, no doubt.

He is the most criminally underrated player I’ve ever seen. First of all he doesn’t have the weight or size of taller CBs to throw around but will still out muscle most players who come up against him and secondly he always times his tackles perfectly, holding off the player until he’s got the perfect opportunity and taking it. Also, how many other centre halves have the same level of confidence on the ball and are prepared to put their body on the line to protect the team. I can’t believe he still doesn’t get the recognition he deserves as without him Utd just don’t look the same

He and varane was pretty much a unbreakable wall!! then both got injured in the same game and you could instantly see how much those two gave to the defence, not taking anything away from shaw and lindelof as they both done a good job but these two were outstanding and you can see how varanes comeback has again made the defence stronger with the pairing with inform lindelof allowing the very consistent shaw got back to LB
Another thing with Martinez is hes very aggressive and isnt afraid to make a block or tackle
The transition from watching maguire to watching Martinez was like riding a bicycle to driving a BMW M4 turbo charged.
