I know you're talking about RDR 2, but realistically, get to a climate dry and warm and wait it out with a 50% chance of survival. Best case scenario, the infection runs it's course and you live the rest of your life being relatively weak. Worst case scenario, it prolongs your life and you eventually die anyway.

Arthur wasn’t coughing that much before in chapter 4 but it seems like when he went to guarma it got really bad when they came back. I'm pretty sure that the disease just happened to make itself known after Guarma by pure coincidence.

Hi I recently found out that I have tuberculosis... It's very hard on me I started taking my pills on Tuesday but everytime I take them I vomit .... Did you go tru the same any advice on how to feel better
My mother went through tuberculosis when she was a child, it was when tb was very popular and her school enforced the students to get the vaccine, little did they know, my mom had the flu and her immune system couldn’t combat both the flu and the tb vaccine at the same time, so a couple of days later she was diagnosed with tb and had to stay in the hospital for a year, tb destroyed her lungs so badly that it left holes in them, which would show up on X-rays and scans, which would also make the doctors think that she still had tb, even though she had beaten it years ago. This shows that even after you’ve beaten tb, it will leave you with scars years to come.

I'm 18 and I'm tb positive right now , I had covid 2 years back i think covid weakened my immune system due to which i developed tb bacteria in my lungs. Now i know covid is no joke. Aftereffects of covid is just as deadly as covid alone, it makes me think my life expectancy has been compromised, my immune system and lungs are weakened forever. I hope for no one to have covid or tb ever.

Is there any particular reason back in the 30’s or so that there were hospitals dedicated to TB patients? I’ve seen these abandoned hospital explorers explore them and it makes me wonder why they existed anyways.
There were such hospitals for many reasons. First of all, Tuberculosis was not easily treated since antibiotics were not commonly used and even if they were, they were not effective. Secondly, the patients were extremely contagious and there were many of them since tuberculosis was an extremely common disease (I think up to 30-40% of deaths were attributed to tuberculosis back then). Also, those patients were to be hospitalised for a long time. In the end, it only mad sense that there was a hospital specifically for those with tuberculosis.
i had TB before. I think it's because patients need to undergo a strict treatment. During those months, you have to REALLY follow the medication plan-when to take, how many, and what vitamins can you have to combat the side effects. You gotta get an x-ray every month so they see how it's going. They gotta keep a close watch on you bec if you're not consistent either the TB will progress into multi-drug resistant TB (which is much harder to treat) or they'll miss if the bacteria starts spreading to your other organs (like your spine or liver). Plus, it's an airborne disease and it takes a while to develop so having the patients in a controlled environment is much easier to trace.

I tested positive for Latent TB back in 2016 but never followed up and didn’t want the treatment at the time. If I tested again would it still be positive?. Does it ever go away on its own?
Latent TB is when you show no symptoms and may last from weeks to months to years. But you do have a chance to develop TB disease sometime in your life, so you might want to consult your doctor for this.

I tested positive for Latent TB back in 2016 but never followed up and didn’t want the treatment at the time. If I tested again would it still be positive?. Does it ever go away on its own?
Seriously I recommend treatment. mine progressed to active tb and you really don’t want that.
Latent TB is when you show no symptoms and may last from weeks to months to years.
But you do have a chance to develop TB disease sometime in your life, so you might want to consult your doctor for this.
