Klong Muang beach, Krabi in Thailand

About 45 minutes drive northwest from Krabi airport in southern Thailand you find some exceptional beaches and hotels overlooking the Andaman sea. This movie was made in April 2021 when only few tourists from abroad visited Krabi, Phuket or for that matter Thailand. Most guests are Thai. This was COVID-19 time in Thailand. Still not that many cases, but hardly anyone had got the vaccine.
Set on Klong Muang Beach and surrounded by the exotic landscape of Krabi province, Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort is only a short distance away from beautiful cliff formations, lush forests and a beautiful archipelago. We took the long tail boat to the fabulous Hong island and some smaller pristine islands. Amazing to be alone in such a landscape. No tourists at all. On the small beach at Koh Lao, where normally 15 boats are anchored, we were alone! On nearby Koh Phak Bia island we were three boats. And again we snorkeled alone on the coral reef on the northern side of Koh Pak Ka. Stunning and truly exotic.

I went there for a few hours while staying in Krabi. Personally it is a much nicer and quieter beach than Ao Nang beach even though the latter was really nice too
