- Apple CEO Steve Jobs is well known for his electrifying presentations. Communications coach Carmine Gallo discusses the various techniques Jobs uses to captivate and inspire his audience - techniques that can easily be applied to your next presentation. For more tips on presenting like Jobs, read our Crash Course.
1. Set the theme - single headline that sets the theme
- Make theme clear and consistent
- Create the headline that sets the direction for your meeting
2. Provide the outline (I want to share with you 4 things)
- Open and close each section with a clear transition (..and this was the first thing I wanted to share with you this morning)
- Make it easy for your listeners to follow the story
3. Demonstrate Enthusiasm
- Words like Extraordinary, amazing, cool, incredible
- Wow your audience
4. Sell an experience
- Make numbers and statistics meaningful
- Analogies helps connect the dots for your audience
5. Make it visual
- Paint a simple picture that doesn't overwhelm
- Give them a show - add video / guest / demonstrate the product
6. Spend time to Rehearse
7. One more thing
- Give your audience an added bonus to walk away with
You're a G.O.A.T.
love you
you are the best.
Thanks alot bro
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love the way steve jobs presents. Whenever I'm doing a presentation i wear a black sweater and jeans, and pretend I'm steve jobs. lol seriously it gives me a lot of confidence.
A man who changed the world, litarally, a true legend.
We miss you Steve Jobs, much love.
Steve was being himself. He was interacting with the current vibe. His action were natural to the situation. If you are not enthusiastic about your product, if you dont believe in your product then quit.
"...maybe one, two images per slide..." (shows jobs's presentation with 3 images on slide). :D good timing.
"and one more thing...do all the questions on page 398 for homework"

I just realised the comment is 10 yrs old i-

i applied many of steve jobs' techniques for scientific presentation at university and was amazed at how well it works, even tho it is not about selling a product
Steve Jobs is my role model.
Mine 2
mine 2 bro
Never for me
Steve jons was a piece of shit who ignored his children and wife and refused to acknowledge the people who made him what he was.
Great presentation. I want topping out nose thing: telling people that 12 gig is enough music for them to listen to on their journey to the moon and back is not tangible. Instead, I would give an amount of songs or just the plane amount of time. That said, I found this presentation to be thoughtful and useful.
Putting it simply....if you can entertain and capture the attention of a crowd of three or four thousands onlookers and keep them spellbound till the end....then your NO ordinary speaker.
When you love what you do and have a real passion about the products or service it's much easier to convey that to an audience. One reason Steve Jobs is so brilliant; everyone wants to hear what he has to say.
As experience "REHEARSE" as much as you can then you will present fluently. Of course there are several other things that make your presentation solids e.g. you have to love what you present, know about it, expect the questions of the audience, change the style every 3 minutes,... etc.
Thanks for this Video. It is really valuable.
Wow. Once you point out each aspect of his speeches, it's so clear why they're cool!
YES! I travel to the moon very often, IT IS MEANINGFUL TO ME!
The key takeaway from Steve's presentation is to add your own personality to the presentation. Many presentations today are devoid of any personal touches or theatre. Presenters have lost the ability to be themselves
Awesome video. Got a presentation tomorrow and Steve Jobs' method is the definition of a presentation!
one of the most important things is to know what you talk about.. to like it and have studied it extensively.. got me through alot
great job, and i like the fact, that you've posted this one on youtube (so its for free) although its very valuable... short but important information in only 7 minutes ... thank you!
are you still there ?
just curious
WE ARE ALL WITH YOU STEVIE.....NO WORRIES....
LOVE YOU
Terrific presentation. The speaker was fun to watch and makes his points easy to remember.
Truly, His Highness, Steve Jobs is an inspirational speaker. He delivers his messages very well and creates a perfect show. No wonder Apple is where it is now. Thank you, Steve Jobs. =) We love Apple, and we love Steve Jobs. Cheers!
i just dont get it why some comments are irrelevant and so rude.
well i am not an apple user, but i adore steve jobs so much that he can make the presentation so attractive and persuasive for the audiences.
beside he's a great bussinesman, he also kinda down-to-earth and really knows how to communicate so well.
billions thumbs up! :)
the key to the well received Jobs presentation was not really about his presentation but more about him and his company are so good at creating a new religion. Years back, even a bending phone was taken as credit and compliment for Apple.
I'll use these tecnics in my future apresentation on 17 October 2008, on +PHC event. Thanks Steve and who put this movie here.
quite helpful. I never really payed that much attention to how he presents.
Some great insights here! Thanks! Jobs had real flair, but he put in a lot of effort to make it all appear effortless. I am all for rehearse, rehearse, rehearse - but leave room for some spontaneity!
Cool stuff. I'm one of those who fall into the common trap of presentations. Thanks to this video I have a better idea on how to create a better presentation for my job interview.
Thanks for this. I am impressed with your clarity and teaching style. I also think Steve Jobs is and amazing man.
Một thánh nhân ( nhân tài và nhân hậu) của hành tinh này,Steve Jobs, một tấm gương vĩ đại mà mọi tầng lớp trong mọi chế độ xã hội đều ngưỡng mộ, kính trọng.
I 've read Carmine Gallo's book last summer and indeed it is great.....
great video and I must say the presentation by Carmine isn't too shabby either!
Thanks for this very helpful video! It's the rescue of my school presentation!!!
An extra-ordinary piece of learning for tenets of presentation.
Thank you so much for the tips in this video. Very insightful and I know this is going to be extremely helpful for my upcoming presentation.
jasonjelicich you are absoutely right. That's the key, being motivated by yourself..no one else
This is a good video tutorial for presentations that involve selling a product or a business idea. When it comes to presenting technical information or training materials, however, this may not be the best context for it. Regardless, I agree that it's always necessary to show enthusiasm for the topic and rehearse!
i'm shown this video at literally every single marketing and sales module.
he is best presenter i've seen
One more thing: Steve Jobs is Legendary !
Thank you so much for clear and understable video, will be helpful a lot !!!!
Nice. Now to put it work on my resume.
Steve Jobs is a verry wise man. I respect him alot.
AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!
Helped in my presentation
i thought this was a really good and interesting video to watch i love to see more in the series
The man, that change the world!
Carmine Gallo
you aint bad as well. Keep up the good work, mate.
It's currently 2am and I just had to watch this to quell my anxiety. I hope this works for my presentation!
Was surprised they didn't charge for this info, kudos
I have to admit he is a damn good presenter. Even though I am not that impressed by Apple's products, I can say I respect them for what they do.
Thanks for your help, my presentation went awesome from my classmates,
Great Video! Steve Jobs was truly an amazing speaker. iRIP Steve
Some of you don't get the Steve-effect (or are fooled by it). Apple makes computers, mp3 players and mobile phones. Not very exciting, is it? But Jobs is a performer, luring us in a fantasy. He cleverly builds an experience and gets us excited about things we normally don't get excited about (anymore). That's the brilliance of this guy (wheter you like his products or not, you'll love his show).
Great tips, loved it.
Exactly. It was the products... his presentation is just normal.
That was really helpful. Thanks!
That was a really good video actually! I'll keep it in mind (:
Great info. Thank you for sharing!
this video is really helpful! I like it!
Steve Jobs .......my role model
No one cares
This was an awesome video! Thanks for this.
Excellent Video ! thank you so much ....
Because he really understand customers.
the greatest presenter ever Steve Jobs is the myth that we should talk about it for the all next future generation
Good video!!!Very useful!
Thanks for the tips
thanks, great stuff mate
Take in mind, he has a big advantage, the content of the presentation, the brand, the technology that he shows, so it is 80% of the main message he wants to transmit. Besides he is an Icon of the industry so he do not need to present him self. BTW check in youtube the best presenter I ever seen: John Chambers (Cisco CEO).
Gotta love this video and book! Bom pra caralho.
I guess Im asking randomly but does anyone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account..?
I stupidly forgot the account password. I would love any assistance you can offer me
@Duke Omar Instablaster =)
@Alberto Jackson i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out now.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Alberto Jackson it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thanks so much you really help me out !
@Duke Omar no problem :D
I can't tell you how many times I've run out of music to listen to while traveling to and from the moon because my memory card was too small
Excelent, everyone should watch this video!
It's awesome explanation! thanks!
sublime
Awesome video!
I have a presentation today hope I’ll excel it.

may allah surround u with his mercy Steve, u really did something for the humanity
Great presentation. I want topping out nose thing: telling people that 12 gig is enough music for them to listen to n the jurny
thumbs up if you have a presentation in few days and and you were looking for presentation skills on TH-cam, and than somehow ended up here and asked yourself WOW Steve Jobs, how come I didn't think of him earlier??
Very helpful !
THANKS!!!
@dartmf pretty sure he meant the amount of music you could store on it.
RIP Steve Jobs. We will all miss you!
Fantastic!
Steve is the maestro
The presenter isn't saying "be Steve Jobs, not yourself". He's just identifying a few key techniques that Jobs used. There's still plenty of scope for individual style between those guidelines.
I've suffered through plenty of excruciating PowerPoint presentations that might have been vastly improved had the presenters used some of the techniques identified here.
SJ is the revolutionry inventor of the century
really awesome! i wanna do ........
