OF course Lugansky is terrific. Always is. What strikes me with him is his humanity. Other artists play in a way that is amazing, but Lugansky is human to the core. Wonderful. BUT, can we all share our hands for the utterly amazing Rudenko!!! He kicks ass like a massive maestro. He's just as terrific as Lugansky.
This is one of the best performances of ANY of Rachmaninoff’s music that I have ever heard. Stupendous! Beyond the breathtaking energy the balance, the phrasing, the style, the “intonatia” are all of the highest level attainable by humans.
you prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid lost the account password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Bryant Knox thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Best beautyfull powerfull art! Gorgeous streaming& POMPINGS on this stage thema POMPINGS! This combinations is good! Superior 2piano organs were able to show& play on high elegant with wishing sunrise&golden super moovinig moons , by superiors who are updateing ultra piano artists. My decided that is this 2 players combination is gorgeous.
Funny you say that. I've turned for this piece. Yes, with 4 lines per system and a tempo of presto (full measure = 96) you start to feel like you're just dealing a poker table or something for the whole tarantella. I just looked at the music. It's mostly 3 systems per page, 15 measures in all for one page. Yeah.
Excellent! I believe this rendition is second only to that played by Ashkenazy and Previn in 1975. Heard a mere handful of minor mistakes in the first three movements.
After having listened to Rocky's complete piano works repeatedly for the last half year, I must say this one waltz is my favorite of them all, with Des Larmes a distant second. The rest seem to me rather overblown, too dependent on figurations for their effect. This performance rushes a bit too much for me,, but the longing rubatoes still carry the sensuous delight I particularly love in the best of Rocky's work.
I agree, the charm is lacking in some areas but the synchronicity is amazing. Then again, these are two Russian horses playing who is not known for their spontaneity, can't blame them for playing to their strengths
0:15 I. Introduction
4:05 II. Valse
9:35 III. Romance
16:56 IV. Tarantella
It is reported that Rachmaninoff and Horowitz played this at a dinner party in Los Angeles in 1940 on the spur of the moment.
Can you imagine?

13:43 is probably the most amazing thing i’ve ever heard on the piano
Their ensemble is spectacular. It’s one thing to be two brilliant soloists, but these two have fabulous ensemble as well.

Agreed, it's right up there with the performance of this same piece by Ashkenazy and Previn several decades ago!
Phenomenal in every way!
Beautiful!!!Amazing! I just adore this Rach's Suite, very beautiful!
Николай Луганский, как всегда, великолепен.
дуэт высочайшего уровня спасибо!
21:02 of course rudenko just plays this passage with one hand!
He's such a show-off! :))
I've never heard the Waltz played that fast...amazing! And the adagio theme is one of Rachmaninoff's most exquisite. Goes to your heart!
Two star performers, two slightly different pianisms that blend into a color that is sometimes turned and sometimes crystal clear.
I have no idea how these two manage to get 7:28-7:45 so in sync. Some real musical connection to nail that section.
you prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know a trick to log back into an instagram account..?

@Kasen Thiago No problem :)
Lugansky plays so well. Thanks for sharing!
If your eyes are closed, you can't tell who's playing . . the duo's synchronicity is magic!
Rudenko plays well too.
@@republiccooper even better

The way they be playing the Tarentella is absolutely crazy
Thank you❤ Bravissimi ❤
прекрасно
Waltz best performance
At the last movement, the page turners are facing more difficulties than the pianists

В каждой ноте любовь к России.
Sorry do you know by any chance when was this played?

16:58 Tarantella...............
Bravissimi
beautiful but output volume als too low….
Immensi
W is better than 1
Is that your real (family) name, Mr. Шариков?
Valse is too fast. Charm is lost. But Wouw can they play
I disagree
It is faster than many others play, but the elegance of the phrasing is impeccable.
I agree, the charm is lacking in some areas but the synchronicity is amazing. Then again, these are two Russian horses playing who is not known for their spontaneity, can't blame them for playing to their strengths
Almost everything is too fast and loud. Athletes
Agreed. A waltz must dance. Hear Vronsky & Babin.
I very love Rudenko, I am a fan. But they 2 and 4 mvt too fast. You cannot hear the music( dislike
