Andrew just flexing on gear is what I like about this channel. I get the fun narrative stuff and the educational content, that's great but I feel like this channel is made for us gearnerds that just want to see what a talented musician can do with a machine.

whenever I find Andrews main channel getting a bit... content-ey, I can always reliably come back here for the sort of videos that made me subscribe to his channel in the first place. Im not childish enough that Im willing to say that it's a bad thing, his new content is the way that it is because the people like it. Im just happy to have this channel so I dont feel left out.

Had a chance to play with it @ Erica Synths HQ in Riga. Amazing machine. TH-cam's compression does no justice to the lows of this amazing machine, you need to hear it live.

I have the lxr-02 and agree- awesome kit. Lovely video- fav part is Andrew’s sick eurorack case- I love how it looks like a small dj controller

Can I use this drum machine in a studio recording session with Ableton? Example: I don't make ED/HipHop, but i'm currently working on a project with more experimental sounds, slowed down, with traditional song writing (intro, verse, chorus, vocals etc)
Is this something I could use not only live, but to record songs and experiment with a reasonable work flow or is this really intended for live performance only?

you can use it how you want. i like sound design more than performing but this LXR can do it all with ease
How is the learning curve? Asking for a friend that mastered the Deluge in like 2 weeks
haven't had to read the manual at all. so easy to play and design new sounds that have never been heard

Do you still love yours as much as I do mine? I wore some markings off, doing rolls, and Oto sent me a panel, so I can make mine new again. It cost me $0. Brilliant box, capable of massive sounds on it's own.

That display, menus, and 4 knobs setup looks so much like the MicroMonsta 2. Is there a common platform that these small manufacturers are using to get started?
I don't think so, but micromonstas approach to every knob essentially being an assignable macro is something everybody should look up to if you ask me.

Get this, or wait out for the Perkons HD-01? This seems to have many more features at a quarter of the price, but the Perkons has that absolutely massive, thundering sound, and is much more performance-oriented with its huge knob-per-function controls. And I already have the Model:Cycles, the DrumBrute Impact, and the TR8s. Thoughts?

Ever heard of the Roland R-8 MKII? Fantastic drum machine. This one sounds like it has zero dynamics.
I hated the first beat for some reason and I liked everything else .....wish it was more affordable, I feel like it will take me about a life time to build a collection of instruments and drums machines and synyhs and stuff that is just on my top to own list.....to make a sad story short, great video, I enjoyed, thanx
