    As a fairly recent first time dad I was surprised to see how much room a rear facing car seat took up in my MB GLE. Id love to see some quick snapshots of a car seat in both directions when discussing the car seats. I’m sure other soon to be first time parents would appreciate it.

    The brushed metal looking trim that runs throughout the interior in my 23 Silverado often harnesses the power of the sun into a focused death ray that seems to find it's target in the back of my skull via my orbital sockets that contain my eyeballs.

      I like having her perspective too. Too many reviewers obsess over things that don't really matter, like how soft the dashboard is or a half-second difference in 0-60. The fact is that most buyers don't really care, nor should they. They do care about things like visibility and general day-to-day usability.

    Wow a nicely equipped half ton truck for $55k...that's becoming increasingly rare these days. Id definitely consider one of these, even with the turbo 4. But I don't currently need the capability of one of these, so I may save $10k and get a Ridgeline instead. Tech and interior is far superior than the Ridgeline's though, that's for certain.

    • @edhcb9359
      @edhcb9359 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Ridgeline will save you a lot more than $10k in the long run, just don’t plan on it really being a truck.

      @@edhcb9359 ridgeline would do all the truck things Id require of it. Would tow a 3500 boat/trailer with ease, and haul mountain bikes in the bed. It’s just very outdated inside which is a huge disappointment.

      @@edhcb9359 2020+ has the updated 9 speed ZF with paddle shifters to allow you to be in the ideal gear when towing. I believe ‘17-19 was Honda’s old sequential 6 speed, which had the “d4” mode for towing/off roading. I have heard similar issues to yours about the 6 speed. The 9 speed seems to be better and more reliable, just slightly less smooth shifting compared to other manufacturers’ 8 and 10 speed transmissions.

      @@jakes5530 We have enjoyed a lot of Honda’s over the years, but after major transmission disappointments with an Odyssey and the the Ridgeline I’m not going to ever take another chance on another Honda outside of maybe a passenger car. We have a Highlander now and it’s kinda boring but bullet proof reliable.

    Nice truck and $55k is a good price but Chevrolet is definitely behind Ford and Ram on power. The 5.3 just can't compete with the ecoboost or hemi and the 6.2 is only available on top trim models.

    • @plmn93
      @plmn93 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tailgate is a gimmick IMO. Ram's dual-gate would be my pick in a full size truck, combined with a drop down corner step that can be used with the tailgate up or down or with a trailer attached. But yeah Tundra's rear cab is a head scratcher, it's like they never bothered to check how people used their crew cabs.

    Hello.
    I just bought this truck (Silverado 1500 LT 2FL Turbomax, 4x4) about 4 weeks ago, this car is beautiful, good, strong engine. I want to buy an RV but I don't know if this vehicle can tow an RV or not? If so, what is the maximum weight of an RV?
    My Truck: Brand new 2024
    Gvwr=7,000lbs.
    Gcwr=14,500lbs.
    Rgawr=38,000lbs.
    Maxpayload=1,966lbs.
    Curbweight=5,034lbs.
    Conventional TWR=9,000lbs.
    Max tongue weight=900lbs.
    Gooseneck TWR=8,900lbs.
    Max tongue weight=1,335lbs.
    Gawr FRT=3,800lbs.
    Gawr RR=3,800lbs.
    Tire size:
    FRT=RR=265/65R18 T. (rim 18x8.5J) SPA=265/70R17 S (rim 17x8J). Font=Rear=Spare=240 kPa, 35Psi.
    So, Can my truck (GVWR=7,000lbs) tow an RV/Trailer with a maximum load of 9,000lbs?
    If possible, please post more videos of the Silverado 1500 2.7l, 4-cylinder truck pulling an RV trailer.
    Thanks

    I had a ram classic that was eating me out of house and home. There is no getting around the fact that these are SUPER capable cars. I loved mine but got an EV and figured I'd have things delivered with the extra $500 i'm not spending on payments, and gas. But assuming the reliability of this engine is good - this could make a great step up from a Ridgeline because it's way more capable and roomy, gets similar mileage, and if you give up leather seats, comparable on luxury.

    • @davids1816
      @davids1816 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davedave9780 I realize that, but the electric money is about $250-$300 less per month than gas, though of course that fluctuates on how much I drive and gas prices. I also don't spend $50-100 dollars every few months for an oil change - to say nothing of all the other parts that wear out on an ICE car. The battery and motor in my car are warranties for 100k.

    • @davedave9780
      @davedave9780 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davids1816 that might be the only difference now, but I assure you, that price will creep up past the cost of gas.. You know why? Because of corporate greed.

    • @davids1816
      @davids1816 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davedave9780 And the benevolent gas companies are going to make their gasoline cheaper, and the side costs of air pollution, water pollution, militarization to keep shipping routes open, being beholden to Russian and Middle Easter supplies in order to suppress global prices... none of this registers, but the heavily regulated electrical grid... that's the thing you're calling out for corporate greed? My polite suggestion if you're tired of corporations would be to get solar power. The sun's not incorporated one little bit.
