Great video. I learned a few things and I’ve been growing cucumbers in my garden for years. The fertilizing and pinching of the nodes are helpful

The long one is suyo long and it doesn’t need assistance with pollination.

You suggested using sunflowers as a cucumber trellis. This is bad advice
Sunflowers have allelopathic qualities. All the parts of the sunflower plant give off toxins that will either stunt the growth of or kill any competitors. This means plants that are unlucky enough to be in the strike zone can suffer from the sunflower's silent slaughter under the soil.
Allelopathy is when a plant has the ability to negatively affect another plant's growth through allelochemicals it releases underground. It's like the plant has a superpower that prevents other plants from growing near it, giving it a natural competitive edge.
Perhaps you can edit that out of your video.

Thank you for your information. While sunflowers do have allelopathic qualities that can affect the growth of neighboring plants, cucumbers are not typically highly susceptible to the allelopathic effects of sunflowers. In general, cucumbers are known to have some level of tolerance to allelopathic compounds compared to other plant species. When I was working in test gardens at Utah state, we tested cucumbers growing up sunflowers and they did just as well as the cucumbers grown up trellises in the neighboring garden beds. I do grow my cucumber plants in my personal garden and have for many years this way and haven't lost them. Thank you.
