Battlefield V is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Battlefield V is the sixteenth installment in the Battlefield series. It was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 20, 2018. Those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of the game were granted early access to the game on November 15, 2018, and Origin Access Premium subscribers on PC received access to the game on November 9, 2018. The game is based on World War II and is a thematic continuation of its World War I based precursor Battlefield 1.
Battlefield V will focus extensively on party-based features and mechanics, scarcity of resources, and removing "abstractions" from game mechanics to increase realism. There will be an expanded focus on player customization through the new Company system, where players will be able to create multiple characters with various cosmetic and weapon options. Cosmetic items, and currency used to purchase others, will be earned by completing in-game objectives.
The game will feature several new multiplayer modes, including the "continuous" campaign mode "Tides of War", "Firestorm", and "Grand Operations". The Grand Operations mode is an expansion of the "Operations" mode introduced in Battlefield 1, which focuses on matches taking place across multiple stages to simulate a campaign from the war. In Grand Operations, each round will have specific objectives, and performance in each stage will influence the next. Games will culminate with a "Final Stand", with players using only a primary weapon with limited ammo, and no respawns. Similarly to Battlefield 1, the game will feature a collection of single-player "war stories" based on aspects of World War II. The game also features a cooperative mode not seen since Battlefield 3 called "Combined Arms", where four players can undertake missions together and features dynamic missions and objectives so missions cannot be played the same way each time. Combined Arms is scheduled to be released after launch. The Battle Royale mode will be built around the franchise's "core pillars of destruction, team play, and vehicles". The name "Firestorm" is derived from a literal storm of fire that engulfs players similar to the popular Battle Royale game mechanic of restricting the play area. Furthermore, this particular game mode is not being developed by EA DICE themselves, but has been outsourced to Criterion Games and features the biggest map created by the franchise to date. It is playable by 64 players, which are divided into up to 16 squads with a focus on team work.Firestorm is scheduled to be released in March 2019. - Wikipedia

On console (playstation) dogfighting is still ongoing. Im a decentish pilot but couldnt get a peaceful game like this, the planes seem to be only interested in other planes 90% of the time. You just get in to a nice flow and then youve 2 planes on you, and more often than not my team mate in the other plane doesnt come to help and i end up spending time trying to take out both planes.
I notice that too, the thing that makes me so mad and ruins planes is the stationary AA guns. They can shoot WAY too far and they do so much damage. I get they need a counter for planes and I know that they can obviously shoot far in real life but like it’s a game, it’s not fun being shot down immediately every time you get into the air by an AA gun smh

I watched a few of your streams lately and always really enjoy them. The tips you gave me for bf4 flying really improved me a ton. I can now consistently get 40+ Kill games in the attack and 20+ Kill games in the stealth jet :D. Thanks for responding to all your comments and keep up the great work :D
Also, remember the good old times of Bf4, where you had to earn your right to farm by winning dogfights?

Hopefully we do friendly fire enabled european theatre. Apparently that's what the console 1v1 guys usually do.

Sick as always! Thank you for the tips and taking us through your thought process. That is the most valuable aspect of your videos. I rarely dogfight. I just lure enemies to friendly AA. Just takes time away from farming right? Have any recent G6 videos on Fjell?
I have a couple on Fjell but the files are really corrupt, like a 85-0 and 74-0. That map always ends in one side getting baseraped for some reason on Asia servers, so getting gameplay there can be hard
for Infantry is good to counter them when they push, so they lose momentum
I played a match against you last year and my team couldnt get off the beach. You were REALLY pissing me off haha

I'm rather new to pc flying. In bf, I realized that my when I was turning, I would run out of mousepad space and had to readjust my mouse position. Should I just simply turn up my mouse sens, or is there something in game I can change?
You should bind space to pitch up, so for big turns you use that and for aiming at ground targets and stuff, use your mouse
How do you see infantry from that high up without them being highlighted? I can usually only see and zero in on one soldier at a time, unless they’re stacked up.
It's good to check spawn timers on Mercury (it's way longer then other maps). also df very much depend if there is dedicated AA tank or on sam maps stationary AA
Because of the resuply, Pacific is not meant for df :( Pretty much same about Fjell. Arras is rly bad for df, Panzerstorm same. Mercury, Twisted Steel and Narvik are decent and Hamada and Al sundan are rly good.
I need tips on flying in planes that are not leveled up.

the thing with this map is when the US captures the 1 sector, it's extremely hard to not get fucked by aa and the respawn is so close to the aa
Love the vids Silk. Question: do you think the planes have too little impact on the actual result on the match? I see you go on these amazing kill streaks, but your team still loses.
Great question, it's something I've thought about a lot.
On Pacific maps the planes have plenty of impact and I win almost every match.
On Euro maps the planes have literally next to impact. I frequently lose games on Twisted and Fjell despite going 4+ kpm, keeping skies clear and going after tanks here and there.
Hackers play a big role to not much you can do with multiple hackers on the enemy team
I don't think he lost this match he was defending and the enemies only captured 4 sectors. The planes do have a huge impact on the Pacific maps but not so much on European maps I usually find
@@damienmcdonald7610 Yeah. You are right. I wrote the question before I finished the video. Lol. But the question still stands and what’s more I think DICE didn’t get the paper-rock-scissors balance as honed in as they did in BF4.
@@jonaslundholm yeah I agree bf4 was more balanced for most of the time after they did the big fix on it but I don't think bf5 is bad at all. If they fixed deployment spawns and made some minor changes to maps it'd be pretty much perfect imo

I legit find it impossible to engage ground targets. Not only can I never spot ground targets. But I only end up tickling them and never getting any kills.
I see games what I play enemy pilots destroying all aa-guns beginning of match, since console no one isnt ever repair/rebuild those and second thing is at planes never seem to kill each other they seem to get easy kills By infantry
As usual Great content. All I wana know is how can you spot enemies as white little dots without any flares. Is it a graphics card situation or something else? On consoles this is so hard Without any friendly flares spotting.
Hmm Ive heard consoles get a similar thing with the soldier lighting but pretty sure it's clearer on pc
Silk should I just keep increasing/deceeasing brightness maybe or is there any other setting to tweak in your opinion?

My only problem is leveling up the planes
Yeah can be a pain. I try and do heaps of dogfighting and always use my bombs to get damage and occasional kills on tanks

You wont wreck a plane in 20 secs with guns now lol it's 2022 and seems like they have nerfed all guns on planes into the dirt and it does make flying so painful sometimes. Not to mention every player seems like a sweat on the enemy team lol my Lobbies are NOTHING like this one is, ever... Cool vid and Tips are pretty much spot on ✌️

I like your strategy of leaving unproductive pilots alone. The TTK in this game is just stupidly long. You waste a lot of time just shooting at planes for them to just bail onto an objective. Dogfighting in this game is just trash.

Silks squadmate "ERFAWE" was hacking. Always exclusively headshots with any weapon. Just realized it i think on 20 min. Maybe he did start hacking just then or at the start.

Nice game, just sucks that you had two cheaters on your team and one on the other side . I just lose all interest in a round when there are blatant cheaters on the server.
Almost every server has cheaters in it now for asia
@@SilkOCE I play EU servers from South Africa and you get one every few rounds, so a couple a day. Not nearly as bad as Asia, but still annoying as hell.

Best dogfighter in EU maps
Only problem is of course you cant take out armour as easily as the VB but the main guns are very good for infantry and dogfighting

Usually people who use high alt have no DF experience though. You could usually destroy them before they go up. Or kill them in a merge when they come back down

Fair enough. CQ when it's good is better but it often just devolves into the enemy teams spawning 3 AA tanks and throwing the game for themselves

Dude, there are 200% damage servers on the ps4, breakthrough iwo jima with 200% tickets (800 tickets total) and 3P flying not locked 1P. Was on the US side unfortunately and was thinking damn, Silk would have close to 400 kills total if he played this

There's a US server on PC called LEB that does this
Rockets and bombs still do the same damage on 200%
But the main gun 1 shot head shots and 2 shot body shots at any range

So on average you killed 5.8x times an enemy player. Some people maybe even 10x times without dying. The hate must be real!

@@SilkOCE it's hard for them when a lot of infantry can't really do much about planes that's why when I play infantry or tanks I make sure to keep moving and not bunch up so I don't really get killed by planes much. This is harder in a tank tho when you piss off the entire enemy team and all of the planes start coming after you
Of course it's easy to farm kills when the enemy is constantly spotted. 🤔
