I mean realistically, the dmg it did plus the tiny amount of tension he got from it… eh. Asuka is a character that you can’t make a mistake on, or you disintegrate.
i like to believe that they know nerfing asuka basically at all while the rest of the cast does what they do is senseless. If anything they need to tone down the meter gain, which is what lets gobou get that card so often.

Regen is nutty but so is autodraw, the port lets you do stupid positioning stuff (being in closer for combos and mana recover speed, if dustloop is right), and bitshift and arpeggio both build tons and tons of meter. Plus, there's the doom vortex setup.

I see your point about the spell card super, but I think mana regen is the primary reason most Asukas are only running test case 3
