Thanks for explaining where the weight difference come from in the women's version! I really love the new heal shape from Clifton 7, so excited Hoka is continuing that. I've heard a shoe designer say that women sometimes need a narrower heal cup and that shape seems to fit my heals just right.
#1 I could be wrong but at 1:04 in video, looks like you got stack heights reverse. 26.2 heel 32.6 forefoot Am I wrong or is this typo. I was taught to run on heel & roll through to push off on toes 🤔❓ About 80% of runners strike the ground with their heel first, termed "rearfoot running". Another 15% of runners strike the ground with their foot flat, termed "midfoot running". That leaves a very small group of "forefoot runners", who run on the balls of their feet. 5:10 to 6:55 this guy sold the SH*T out of this shoe. Hoka needs to give him a seat on the board of directors. All the keys were hit. "We were shocked". "Pillowy". yet "Pop". It's there when you're drunk and falling left or falling right, and like a true friend, always brings you back to center.
We'll frame this one and pass it on! :) We'll try not to be as effusive in the future - it hurts our credibility when we say *too* many good things about a shoe (although this is a really solid version of the Clifton...).
@@TheUltraRunningCompany My comment could easily have come across wrong. I think you're an honest person and an honest salesman. It's not your fault your likeable as f*ck.
So its way more responsive then the clifton 6? They were my first shoes where I felt this is too soft, I have to work harder to get moving. Thats why I stood away from the 7
Yes - we sure think it is. They're still soft, but the feeling of rebound is noticeably better with this compound. Certainly worth a try if that was your issue before.
Great. I took Clifton 8 today. Somehow I find it be a little tighter ( I'm currently running in Saucony Ride 15). Is it normal or does it strech after few runs.
I've never had a running coach, but I feel 8 is max. ALTHOUGH, the Nimbus is 10. I got away from those for a long time, 'cause they got all wonky. The 22 was not too bad, and the 23 is supposed to be superdeeduper. Still 10mm drop.
9:53 oh you consider size 13 a “human size foot” lol wtf?? You mean a beast size foot? While I agree 9 is below average, I would use 10.5 as a “human size foot”. 13 is ridiculous lol
Ridiculous? YES. Nathan's feet are an abomination. He keeps saying they're normal, and we keep pushing back. But in the end, this is all his opinion, and we run with it. He's actually really heavy-handed behind the scenes, and we can't get him to just admit that having feet you can waterski is nuts. So with that said...run with us. Split the difference between his silly claims and the 9.5, and you're going to be pretty close to the relative weight of your 10.5s. We're trying to provide some perspective here - not the absolute answer. As he says at the end...: Learn To Love To Run! :)
You really need to watch your videos before you release them first you make the statement 26mm in heal then 30 something in the fore foot. You completely lost me with a absolutely garbage review.
Got the Clifton 8. It's in the rotation w/ the More 3 and Wave Sky 4. Bondi 6, Invincible Run, and Nimbus 24 are out.

Thank you for the excellent review as always!
I run in the Clifton 6 and More 3. The More 3 completely knocked the Bondi 6 out of my rotation.
I dig my Clifton 8. Awesome weight to cush ratio !!!

Excellent review. Do you think you’ll test the Hoka Mach Supersonic?

Nice review. Better ride than in the triumph?
Great review. Just ordered a pair from the Hoka website
Good review. Would you suggest it for a flat foot runner, using orthotics, thanks.

Very helpful. Thanks!
I think the wider version of the shoe should be wider and the standard version should not get any more narrow than it is already.
I liked the Clifton 8 better than the Clifton 6.
