Thanks for taking the time to share your plants with me. I was told that I don't have a green thumb, my indoor plants always died but that doesn't stopped me from buying more. I would love to be able to know how to make indoor plants stayed alive after I bring them home. That's why indoor plants videos get me so happy inside.
Get a very forgiving plant, like a snake plant or ZZ plant, and spend a few months with it. Don't over water. then add more as it becomes part of your regular lifestyle.
It's really hard to make a video that is both relaxing and captivating, and you did it perfectly. Great video!

Ahhhhhh! Matthew Encina + Plants = PEACE TO THE MAX. Two of my favourite things ever! 💚🤗💚 ps. Contrary to popular belief, the snake plant is HARD to keep alive (maybe it’s the climate here in Amsterdam). Mine’s dying and I know 2 other people whose snake plants haven’t been doing so well... 🤷🏻♀️

Just wanted to let you know that "mini monstera" is a very common misnomer for your Rhaphidophora tetrasperma. They're both aroids but don't belong to the same genus or species. They're related on the family level though.
Yes, very aware, as I’ve noted all the scientific names in the description. I referred to most plants in this video by their common names, mostly because I’m not confident in pronouncing their genus and species. 😅

I wish I had windows like that. My living space gets a good bit of light, but my bedroom only has 2 normal sized windows. I’ll be able to put some in my room, but I’ll be limited.
Make the most of what you have and enjoy it. You can also supplement lighting with grow lights too.

Thanks! And yes, I’m aware of the scientific name but I referred to most plants by their common names thought out the video. (I’m not confident in my pronunciation of the proper names).
Something that we can benefit from greatly is understanding insects that can overcome interior plants. Since we don't have a way )normally) to have any beneficial insects in our interior spaces, insect infestations can get out of control quickly if not spotted and addressed in time. :) A video about that would be really helpful.
Noted. I haven't gotten to that level yet, but something I've come across when researching pest management.

WOW. No wonder my snake plant isn’t growing. It’s in a high lit area. Just loved it to a low light area.
You know, Snake plants can tolerate a wide range of lighting conditions from low to bright. Though they can burn if they are in direct sunlight. It could be that it wasn't growing due to the fact that we were coming out of a dormant season (fall and winter), and have now entered a growing season (spring and summer). Give it time and a little plant food. Might be all it needs.

House plants, bring the outdoors in and bring your place to life; they also bring a positive energy to your home, clean the air of toxins, produce oxygen and give you a sense of being one with nature. They also teach you to be patient and observant.
