      Nocode for building saas is nonsense. It's for marketing pages. SaaS is more complicated.

      I am an SEO that just recently got a SaaS client and it is Damn sure tough.
      The clients tool is free to use but has premium filters that cost money.
      Good news is I have developed a method to drive organic traffic to pages. By leveraging the tool to support my high quality content, I am better able to fulfill user intent and cover the topic more thorough than anyone else will ever be able.
      What I am saying is I am using the tool itself as something that provides value to the user. If only those users would buy the sub now.

    I can’t imagine how much customisation one would lack using no code tools. How would it be able to do anything else then CRUD operations and maybe call some API’s?

      It depends on your objectives though. If you want to build the next unicorn, no code is not the tool for that. If you want to build a small SaaS that solves someone's problem and make you 10k/month that is very much doable with no code tools.

      @@the_bruce-z1w I’m mainly talking about functionality, not necessarily scalability. No code tools can be good to make MVPs with but there’s also drag and drop solutions that support code. ChatGPT can write entire apps for you as well which would have the necessary functionality and extendability.

      If you start now, you'll put your skills ahead of everyone else who didn't. Do it even if you can only manage a few hours a week, just be consistent. It's better than spending zero hours. It may just take a bit longer to launch a Saas since you can only work on it part time.

    What do you say of the alternative. Use no code as a proof of validation (mvp) and test the market. If the idea is a great as you think, then perhaps get the VC/Investors involved? At least that might allow you to scale faster. Thoughts?

    • @SimonHoiberg
      @SimonHoiberg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It's a completely valid approach.
      Just be mindful about what you're "signing up" for when you take VC money.
      Suddenly you have to deliver results within a given timeframe, hit certain revenue goals, administrate the money in a way that aligns with the VCs, etc.
      It's very hard and stressful. Not something I would recommend (unless you have very big dreams 😄)

    • @casbaden
      @casbaden 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SimonHoiberg yeah you’re right. That is very true. Taking money from someone will always cost you something. The question is whether you are willing to pay the price.
      Btw, I absolutely LOVE your content. I only recently started following you and I appreciate your perspective on this. I’ve been following your tutorials and tried a few things and am learning more than I ever thought possible.

      It's the whole difference in philosophy between micro SaaS and traditional SaaS. Micro tries to be more akin to a lifestyle business. Something that generates a steady income without too much stress. No VC money, no hyper growth etc etc. Just steady reasonable returns.
