When you were dropping the car down the lift for the line, I had a flashback. It's crazy to think that the red turbo Miata is somewhere under all that progress !
Gimbals really bring out faults in people's gate and camera handling. You have a nice natural gate and great camera piloting, so with or without the gimbal the shots are easy on the brain...that said, I appreciate the quality the lens brings (AND) freehand shots are best for blog shows (AND) gimbals are best for choreographed beauties where framing is not changed quickly (AND if it is only on one axis at a time). All I'm ranting about is I think your channel is one of the most organic and easy to watch media of this format and platform..nigh, there are good artists n ur one of them (brofession: am I drawing comparison to the Kubrick's and groups like the Led Zeppelin's? ...yes, I am) Still my favorite channel brofession over.

Taylor, please PLEASE get some neck protection when you're karting. I know it looks lame, I know you you lose some neck articulation but without full bumpers all around, rubber on rubber contact can get violent really quickly. Karts may seem docile compared to full sized cars or drift cars, but you're extremely exposed with little to no protection. Too many lives have been permanently altered due to neck injuries in racing and I really don't want yours to be one of them. I know comments like this tend to get a little lost, but it's not worth ruining your life over.

Driving from IL to FL this coming weekend to pick up a new to me Miata (my first Miata). Super pumped to find a relatively clean rust free car in my price range. It's got it's issues, but whatever. May need a new motor but I'll get it figured out. Just figured you of all people would appreciate it.

I have something to admit, when this Miata project first started i never expected it to become what it has. Looking back to what it was before the V8 swap i just never expected it to reach the level it has now. It has become such an amazing project to follow the progress of. I never was a huge Miata fan because of many reasons, but now a v8 Miata is on my list for sure thanks to you Taylor!! Congrats on such a cool build!
Thanks man! I didn’t think it would come this far. I’ve learned a lot in the process and become a bit too keen on making every little detail “perfect” for my liking which makes for slow progress. But this is the car for me. Future builds I will just knock out and do what needs to be done.
Hey man, love your videos! Animal or lo206 motors are awesome for sprint karting. I for sure think you should buy one and get into it outside of rentals. You never quit learning about them there's always new tricks and things you'll learn as you go. I wish we had asphalt tracks like that around here but all we race karts on is dirt ovals here. When driving the kart stop sawing your hands every time you do that it’s a tenth... drop your hands lower on the steering wheel and small inputs for turning

When buying kart, make sure parts and support are available in your area. Margay parts are pretty proprietary and very little information on them. In karting, set up is everything, and it helps when people know how to tune your chassis.
If your in the Pittsburgh area I have two (2) coyote chassis built Honda clone powered go karts for sale. Ready to race . The tires don't last that long they can only take so many heat cycle and then they become hard .
hey Taylor I raced in spec miata and tires last a good while as long as you don't over drive them pluss no one can out spend you also using the car to go thro the hpde proses is good learning and track time

If you do end up racing the faster karts you should build instead of buy for content and the satisfaction of building it yourself. And lastly, the drone shots were awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing more in the future.
You know what I have always wanted to do? Swap a Honda J32A2 into a Miata chassis. I'm not a big fan of the convertible top, so mine would have to have a hard top painted B95P Electron Blue Pearl with bronze Watanabe wheels. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a LS7 in the engine bay, but I think that a J32A2 with a 6 speed manual would be plenty for that car.

Hey What’s up Taylor...I’ve been watching some of your videos and have finally gotten a sim Rig for the purpose of learning to drift. I have been playing around with the settings on the Fanatec v2.5 wheel base that I just got. I saw your video about your Fanatec sim equipment upgrade and tried the settings you use for drift: Ffb 100 Sho 100 Abs off Dea off Dri 3 For 80 Spr 120 Dpr 40 Brf 50 ( not sure what lin is?) I know you have a lot of experience as you have been drifting for years so I wanted to ask you about it. When drifting I felt like some times I would get some understeer, the wheel also felt unlike in a real car where when you turn then let go of the steering wheel the wheel goes back to its center or neutral position where the cars wheels are straightened out where as in the sim when you let go of the steering wheel it pushes the opposite direction towards the center nuetral position and it continuous past it without slowing down even a little ..and thus the car turns in the opposite direction by itself...I haven’t used a sim Rig before is this normal or are there some settings to adjust this? In addition, I purchased Assetto Corsa but I don’t know what controls I should use on it and what cars I should be driving to start out with to make it feel as realistic as possible. I feel like with some cars I spin out much more easily than others..Need some advice! Thanks
SM gets expensive if you have national level drivers and cars in your area. Fun, but w2w gets pricy in general. Karting is a great option as long as you don't go down the rabbit hole. 👍🏾👍🏾

They do make adapter that is a short 90 are you have to go to A straight fitting on the end of the hose

You should paint/seal your shop floors. We did that at work and it’s so nice.
The weather here in the treasure valley in idaho frequently goes from 60 to 30 like it saw a state trooper...this can happen within an hour easily

Soo, maybe a dumb question, how do you check oil levels with dry sump or do you just go off of good oil pressure ?

Typically at least an extra gallon. My last dry sump setup took 3 gallons per oil change

Also the only time you'll need PTFE line is if it's for nitrous, air conditioning, or power steering.

Dri needs to be -3, that should fix your issue.
