Windows 11 is er!
Direct even getest of Vida nog werkt, en dat gaat prima.
Windows 11 is er alleen nog in 64-bit.
Internet Explorer is niet meer aanwezig in Windows 11.
Vida werkt ook prima in Microsoft Edge.
De DiCE communicatie heb ik ook getest:

Windows 11 is here!
Immediately tested whether Vida still works, and it works fine.
Windows 11 is only available in 64-bit.
Internet Explorer is no longer present in Windows 11.
Vida also works fine in Microsoft Edge.

Hi sorry to bring back an old post, my laptop currently has vida running on Windows 7 and I'm looking to upgrade to Windows 11, when I upgrade will I have to reinstall vida? I don't have a disc so how do I go about installing it without a disc.

Bernardo, you can find it on a lot of websites or shops. Just use Google to find it, or search on AliExpress/Ebay

Hey man! was this an upgrade from windows 10 to windows 11? if so was VIDA installed before the upgrade? I'm having issues with the communication with the scan tool on windows 11
(the box is just not there to select a device)
No upgrade; Fresh Windows 11 install. Did you do the EnableIEhosting register patch?

Where did you get this vide program from
It is Volvo Vida 2014D. You can find it (including the DiCE unit) on AliExpress or other sites and it can be used to diagnose Volvo's (1999-2015).

Ik krijg telkens de foutmelding dat die de SQL niet kan updaten naar 2008. Heb je hier een oplossing voor?
Dat klopt, dit komt doordat SQL2008 niet compatibel is met Windows 11.
Je hebt dus een nieuwere versie van SQL nodig.
Deze kun je (gratis) downloaden op de website van Microsoft :

Can be a few different things.
Have you installed :
- Java (from install dvd/iso)
- IsoView (from install dvd/iso)
Please check if the Vida icon in the taskbar is green before you try to start Vida

The start screen / login screen could be different, but the program is the same

@@Alpejohn you can try to install Vida in Windows 7 compatible mode (right-click the install file, properties, Compatibility, Windows 7)
@@daanium1980 I did that when i tried, and it seem to work at first but in the end i got the same error. Found a guide on how to do it but it was very complicated. So i might as well just install win7 on a separate disc and use that to start from when i need it. Even tho its a hassle. I have a computer i only use for diagnostics, mainly for bmw, but would be nice to also have Vida installed on it.

You need to install Java (www.java.com).
Also there is a registry edit you might need to do.
Google for "vida communication tool not showing", you'll get this:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\.NETFramework
or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework
Make a 32bit DWORD with the name "EnableIEHosting" and set it to 1 :)

@@daanium1980 I have vida 2014D from an old computer who had win7, but now I want to install him on win11, but when performing pre-installation computer settings, the installation is canceled, vida setup says, the operation sistem on this computer is not supported, Vida only supports windows7
@@janisveicens4916 right click the setup.exe file. Then choose properties, go to the compatibility tab, choose Windows 7.
This way, the setup program detects Windows 7 and can continue

How?
Make sure you have Java installed, also double check if "ISOView" is installed. It should come with the installation of Vida, but sometimes it won't install, so you have to install it manualy. You can find it on your Vida install DVD:
D:\3PP\Products\isoview
