If this video proves anything, it’s that you should have your own show. If you did a full survival show with reviews of gear mixed in; I’d watch ten seasons of that. This shit was hilarious
Thumbs up for the creativity and attempts at humor in the video on a product that looks like it will be responsible for countless scars on peoples shins.
Fantastic review of a useless item that I probably will buy. I really like how you dont take anything too seriously but still give very useful information. And as "alittleolder" stated I would love to see a review of a glass of water and possibly other already proven items. You do a kitchen EDC review of a force, spoon and knife, I would recommend you add them as bonus at the end of a serious review. If you had the balls you could do them solo. I would honestly like to see a review of two Condor items - the Makara Machete and the Undertaker Bowie. Cheers
Yes, expected a Flaming Lips reference, and got it. Condor's Bush Knife makes a lot more practical sense. Billhook & chopper in one. Combine with a saw and a Mora or Hultafors for finer work.
The leather jacket, The Ath-M50 headphones, the bucket hat…. This video perfectly encapsulates the essence of a early-mid 2010 internet tough guy. All pair well with a machete shaped like a katana.
I don't own swords. It is heavy compared to machetes. There is no handle mechanism to hold your hand in place, no real quillion, no hilt. The handle is comfortable, but you need to have a firm tight grip with each swing to be able to recover it. I use kukris for my main chopping tools- this just is too long and heavy to chop repeatedly because of the extra effort you need to keep it under control. Do you own any swords or machetes? When you swing do you feel the hilt/quillion/guard press against your hand as you swing? Imagine if your favorite long blade just had a round handle- what keeps the handle in your hand. Does this handle appear to have it? Considering the price, I'd hold it and swing it before you buy it.
Thanks for the well thought-out reply. I have machetes and I do have swords, mostly katanas. Katanas are somewhat blade heavy so if it handles similarly to a katana that I'm fine with that. There is no pommel that keeps your hands in place but you do have to have a firm grip whenever you swing in order to recover. Honestly I won't be clearing much brush with it, I just want a nice outdoor sword/axe/machete hybrid to take hiking and camping with me. You did sum it up nicely in the video, I was just trying to figure out when you say heavy, how heavy or in comparison to other things.
Don't ever change, AK Bro - you're in the knife edge (!) zone between cringy over-self-effacement and CGAF awesomeness...a very underrated youtube talent.
I have both, the Yoshimi is definitely thicker than the discord, longer too. I like them both. If I had to grab one for some apocalyptic hacking action it would be the Yoshimi.
Yes but, not check out my tinder profile hard, more like I don't have an Iphone so I am still using craigslist casual encounters hard. And obviously I'm the craigslist crowd.
Bro thats the main tool in my job every day & where we work, you need a machete - mine is the one you're reviewing - that can get you through the cyclone damaged rainforests of Far North Queensland..I swing that Yoshimi All day Every day Bro😂😂..but an entertaining review none the less👍
I found mine on eBay... they're sold out almost everywhere. I also see "delayed by the manufacturer" a lot of places. Maybe they had some problems or maybe they couldn't keep up with demand.
Say Heah, Yeah, This is a great Machete for a Long Knife for Bush hacking in the mild weather to clear through the brambles. So that's why I got my Rodent Rucki. Alot of my friends thought I flip to go with something this long for the Bush and thought it was more of a warriors tool. But when they seen me team it with my Ratmandu and effortlessly clear through Brambles and then baton and chop with it, all went and bought theirs. But it is a little $$$, so yeah, for those that can't afford a Rucki, I think this would work. But don't get me wrong, the quality, the steel, the semi custom production of a Rodent Rucki, it's a bargain. Yup, I love mine, like I said, I teamed mine with my Ratmandu and it's one of my Fav's Summer Long Knife Combo hands down. But I also enjoy my Ka-Bar Johnson Adventure Parangatang. I like the CroVan Steel because it's the same steel that some of my CarbonV blades are made from. So yeah, I teamed it with some of my mild weather knives like my Fox Parang Bushcraft Jungle Knife which I permimently attached my Mora Kansbol to it and that's just another long knife Combo's that I use, a lovely piece of kit. But now that the cold weather came to The Buckeye Country, I brought out some of my appropriate knives for this time of year, The brambles are not a big problem now but staying warm is So I been getting my knives like my Rodent 6 out tgat I had it modified at the Busse Custom Shop, and now it look's like a Ratmandu on steroids. It prolly one of my Fav's. knives for this weather. It's beffy, and string and yet its a great belt knife in a basic Trio needed for the Bush in this weather. Yup, I substituted my long knife for a Hatchet and Saw. Oh, sometimes I add my Mora 510 with my Modde Rodent 6, or my Cold Steel Ultimate Hunter Folder. One of my Fav's. saw:s is my Agawa Canyon 21 Boreal Saw, or still my Wicked Tough Saw if I want more compact size, it's about the same size as my Bacho Laplander, but better. Ofcource I have other Combo's, like my Fallkniven A-1 and H-1 combo that I wear side by side because of the way tge Sheath's are, I like using this set on wet and snowy weather conditions. Anyhow, you did good, Dilly, Dilly, (I stole the Dilly, Dilly from a Budweiser commercial), heh heh heh.,,.p
That Rucki looks nice, but above my paygrade. This blade is kind of fatiguing because it's so thick. If this had a slightly thinner blade stock, was half a pound lighter, and had some sort of quillion or hilt it would be killer. Chopping wood is fine, but it's to fatiguing as a replacement for a machete.
+darkencypher when I was about 20lbs lighter no... but I see what you're talking about. I have thought it before but you're the first one who's said it. Float on.
Hard day, in need of light relief, AKB provides, thanks mate. Jacket hat short combo = pure stylish delishish. That compensating blade tho = frig thats expensive!
I've had these for bush work for 20 something years, a popular tool owned my former countrymen - especially the poor masses. Lasts forever : (how the hell do I shorten this Amazon link?) www.amazon.com/5ive-Star-Gear-Machete-Handle/dp/B008J1QWW2/ref=pd_sbs_86_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B008J1QWW2&pd_rd_r=5WXNFT3MNEF1VM1DQ0R2&pd_rd_w=rVEkd&pd_rd_wg=KLifE&psc=1&refRID=5WXNFT3MNEF1VM1DQ0R2
I've used this for protection, cutting down invasive species trees, pulling thorned berry branches to get fruit, pruning, firewood when camping+hiking, cutting down large waist sized trees tho that does take time. And inevitable rock chopping happens too. Grind wheel = back to perfection.
I'm pretty sure I have that exact jacket. Now I'm never going to be able to wear it without thinking I need a machete. (To be fair, I probably consider a machete in a lot of my fashion accessorizing).
For the sake of honesty, you should disclose the obvious stat-buffs that you where getting from your sweet threads. Also, everyone knows that you can raise the cap on your single-hand technique by equipping a neck-beard.
Ideally, yes: enchanted is always the best. However, if your'e on a budget or pressed for time, a pinch of flamin' hot Cheeto powder will do - the perk just doesn't last as long.
Bro, a little out of the normal to check out. Don't blow these off . No brainers and worth the cash for all of our type. Dewalt utility knives fixed and folder. Less than $20 for both. # DW10035 & DWHT10046. Utility knives suck, I know....trust me. Makita #ADP05. Dual USB output. $20. Connects to any of their 18volt batt. 1.5 , 2,3,4 or 5AMP . For a great power bank !! And Walmart /Ozark Trails 4xAA ,300 LM Bat. For only $15 it's great !!! Very bright and excellent throw . The UI sucks but.....I collect high end guns/knives lights . These are some of my fav. Cheap items. 2 knives and a light for $35 ! Thanks for your channel . Keep up the bad humor !
+Advanced Knife Bro B-b-b-but you said "don't use tape". So which is it?! Use tape? Don't use tape? Maybe use tape for some stuff ...like fallen off dicks?! WHICH IS IT?!?!? 🤣
Im w/ you. Idk who they made that for. 2lbs+ is a lot for a machete. A standard 1 handed medieval arming sword can be up to 3.5lbs or so. However they are balanced differently & not w/ nearly all the 2+ lbs at the very tip like an axe. Lol
Excellent video! One of the best so far. That is definitely a Back the fuck off Blade and although I would never spend that much on it because I am broke, it's still cool as shit. Rock on Knife Bro!
So what, if your Machete is Bigger than mine. Size doesn't really matter! That is a good looking Machete. Mine is 27.875" long, with a 0.130" spine, and weighs 1lb 12.4oz. We laughed hard too, "with you", while you were whacking that bush. She told me, it reminded her of my golf game! Around here, we mostly use these for tall/mature weed whacking. So we don't have to bend over so far, when chopping them off at the base. Thistles in the pasture. That milkweed or three, that hid from the sprayer in the soybean field. Or a late season stray, that we come across behind the barn, or in the ditch, down by the road. They can get to be very wood like, this late in the growing season. We also use them for chopping down our heavy trunk, dying tomato plants. After the garden season is over.
Machete envy. I'll have to see if I can find a heavier one next time. This will go down and sit in a storage closet in the basement now for a few months.
To peel apples is magnificent !. Thank goodness you have given a good account of those scrubs, i think they would have attacked you, it was them or you. xDDD Good machete, but a bit dangerous if you hit on the feet. Regards!.
I need that for a prop in a video every few years. Bonus points if anyone can name the other review I used it in! Not that anyone is listening anymore.
Great review as always but this is definitely something I don't need and can't even convince myself that I maybe could use it at some point. Still, I rather watch a video on your channel about a product I don't care about than on some boring channel ieven if the product is interesting. And you still owe me the review of a glass of water.
The footwear is all wrong here. Doesn't pair with the short and shirt, much less the coat. Could be intentional - given the lack of seriousness here. Buuut... I've a feeling it's not. Anyway, love the review. That handle looks too skinny.
I will second this. I have two "knives" made by Zombie Tools, and while incredibly impractical for reality based purposes, they are, as ZT likes to say, a "fist full of fuck yeah!"
outfit is hilarious. People will look weird at you and think you're an idiot if you unravel a 5 inch fixed blade, if you get this monstrosity out they'll run for their lives twice as fucking fast as they thought they could 5 min before that.
If this video proves anything, it’s that you should have your own show.
If you did a full survival show with reviews of gear mixed in; I’d watch ten seasons of that. This shit was hilarious
+Beside the Dying Fire a show that ends every season with me dying
On this episode of "Sarcastic Survival"...
"Cheating Death in the Wild" or whatever the antithesis of survival is. You could have a 24/7 channel of this and I would be glued to it.
Thumbs up for the creativity and attempts at humor in the video on a product that looks like it will be responsible for countless scars on peoples shins.
+BigAArmory i actually sliced my leg off...but through magic of after effects I was able to rotoscope one in
I'm impervious to swords. All Chads are.
+Chad Lampe DAMN U CHAD!
i know Im quite off topic but does anyone know of a good website to watch newly released series online?
Sure, but I have the power of God and anime on my side.
@@lucafelipe2347 I like you.
Yes! I'm so happy to see you finally review a condor ! this channel is complete!! As always thank you sir
I still have Swiss army knives and opinels.
Fantastic review of a useless item that I probably will buy. I really like how you dont take anything too seriously but still give very useful information. I'll check out those other models. Spoon and glass of water review coming up!
Really disappointed by the lack of safety gear. How dare you use a sword without your fancy plaid shorts.
Plaid keeps me safe!
Did you notice the retention straps easily Frey because condor decided not to seal the ends of their nylon
Yes, expected a Flaming Lips reference, and got it.
Condor's Bush Knife makes a lot more practical sense. Billhook & chopper in one. Combine with a saw and a Mora or Hultafors for finer work.
+QuickQuips I actually want to get a few others... but this one was newer and looked ridiculous... so I needed to try it
Light by night. Sword by day. Nothing can catch you offguard mr. tactical. I bet you are a marine soldier. You rock!
+Michael Evangelista marine ninja!
The leather jacket, The Ath-M50 headphones, the bucket hat…. This video perfectly encapsulates the essence of a early-mid 2010 internet tough guy. All pair well with a machete shaped like a katana.
I loved the part where your meds wore off and you were trying to attack the invisible enemy in the bush 😂👍
+MinikuiOtoko Just wandering around my yard hacking at stuff... nothing to see here.
So are you saying this is heavy compared to other machetes or in comparison to actual swords? Is the blade easy to recover from an actual swing?
I don't own swords. It is heavy compared to machetes. There is no handle mechanism to hold your hand in place, no real quillion, no hilt. I want one,, but not if I'm making a statement that my widgy is not big enough,, what do you think,?? (about the sword, not my widgy,),
+John Waddington I bought it because I'm an idiot. That was my rationale, at least.
How about the Condor Engineer Bolo?
Nice work as usual AKBro. That steel will take a surprisingly refined edge, and keep a utility edge for a long time.
+Eugene Green yeah man... it's still pretty sharp despite me whacking the crap out of it.
Condor is pricing this higher than necessary due to the perceived ninja-factor. You're probably overpaying by a good $40 for this thing.
Don't ever change, AK Bro - you're in the knife edge (!) zone between cringy over-self-effacement and CGAF awesomeness...a very underrated youtube talent.
+Remember The Slap Films just trying to get the clicks... and maybe make people laugh.
One of the best I've seen yet. Made me laugh a bunch XD
edit: also the outfit chosen for this was tops
Luckily I have a lot of old clothes laying around! Thanks dude!
I'm from the UK and don't know if this is true but I heard you'll be able to open-carry swords in Texas soon, that sounds like fun.
+Xa Ru sounds right to me...
Cowboy hat or fedora? The choice is yours.
Your reviews are the best! Also sweet coat bro!
Whic is better overall the Condor Yoshimi or the Condor Discord?
discord looks better to me... havent tried it though
Thank you very much
I have both, the Yoshimi is definitely thicker than the discord, longer too. I like them both. If I had to grab one for some apocalyptic hacking action it would be the Yoshimi.
OOooooohhhhh. Something I can legally street carry here in TX starting on the first...
+Fitz Mouse that's meh boy!
Wait.
I thought that carry thing was for swords, not machetes?
Looks like a great EDC blade. is this rated for "hard use"?
+Lemon Slush Loves Knives Swords make some people hard- is that what you mean?
Yes but, not check out my tinder profile hard, more like I don't have an Iphone so I am still using craigslist casual encounters hard. And obviously I'm the craigslist crowd.
but seriously this review was hilarious nice job.
I think it falls into 'hard to use' category 🤷♂️
+Lemon Slush Loves Knives thanks man! I had a good time making it
You are my new favorite channel.
+1 for the Audio Technica headphones. They match excellently with machetes and I never knew that.
And now we know!
Loved the Video and the Review will be ordering one on Amazon in about 90 seconds.
Nice!
Bro thats the main tool in my job every day & where we work, you need a machete - mine is the one you're reviewing - that can get you through the cyclone damaged rainforests of Far North Queensland..I swing that Yoshimi All day Every day Bro😂😂..but an entertaining review none the less👍
Awesome, I was looking for a new neck knife. Now I know what to get. Thanks knife bro!
It even has those holes in the handle to make it a beautiful necklace knife!
Thanks for your reviews , i own you some nice laughs. I'd also like a foldable version of that for easier carry and batoning fails! We all need that!
Solid review akb!
Thanks!
Great review man! Funny and informative:) if you get tired of that bad boy let me know! Can't find them for sale anywhere.
I found mine on eBay... they're sold out almost everywhere. I also see "delayed by the manufacturer" a lot of places. Maybe they had some problems or maybe they couldn't keep up with demand.
Advanced Knife Bro I've come to the same conclusion. Alas fortune favors the fast...and the mall ninjas. Enjoy it sir!
I wonder yoshimi versus makara
can you drop an A-team reference 5 videos from now
+David Thompson I'll look into it... and see if I can get some sort of plan together.
They should really take a hint from cold steel and produce a folding version. Full-sized.
+marshalllaw123 I can practically smell the meat in corporate metal soundtracked TH-cam video...

Now I want one... I have no use for it but that mircarta is nice. Why you do this to me bro?
+Aaron Rowe I had my eye on it, since I saw it on instagram!
Dude this video is comedy gold ! I can't help but hit the subscribe button after that.
Its actually very cool! Thanks for the video
This thing makes me think somebody at Condor is a really big MSG fan.
Has anyone ever told you that you look kinda like Isaac Brock from Modest Mouse?
+darkencypher when I was about 20lbs lighter no... but I see what you're talking about. I have thought it before but you're the first one who's said it. Float on.
Advanced Knife Bro Float on, brotha.
How does this guy not have 5 million subs?
Hard day, in need of light relief, AKB provides, thanks mate. Jacket hat short combo = pure stylish delishish. That compensating blade tho = frig thats expensive!
Oh yeah... it aint cheap at all.
I've had these for bush work for 20 something years, a popular tool owned my former countrymen - especially the poor masses. Lasts forever : (how the hell do I shorten this Amazon link?) www.amazon.com/5ive-Star-Gear-Machete-Handle/dp/B008J1QWW2/ref=pd_sbs_86_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B008J1QWW2&pd_rd_r=5WXNFT3MNEF1VM1DQ0R2&pd_rd_w=rVEkd&pd_rd_wg=KLifE&psc=1&refRID=5WXNFT3MNEF1VM1DQ0R2
Looks like a nice working blade... and cheap too!
I've used this for protection, cutting down invasive species trees, pulling thorned berry branches to get fruit, pruning, firewood when camping+hiking, cutting down large waist sized trees tho that does take time. And inevitable rock chopping happens too. Grind wheel = back to perfection.
I was told there were pics of Knife Bro with a long, gnarly line of stitches across his kneecap from all that dumbass batton/machette twirling
+Jason Chatham nope!
AKB, and let me second your thought in that, I too, have no idea WTF this thing is actually for....
I'm pretty sure I have that exact jacket. Now I'm never going to be able to wear it without thinking I need a machete. (To be fair, I probably consider a machete in a lot of my fashion accessorizing).
That's a reasonable thing to accessorize!
I am so buying this. Way more comfy-enient looking than the cold steel katana machete that gets all my extreme gardening action.
But it's heavy... just a warning!
Oh my god you beat me to every single joke I was starting to write in the comments.
+Rodrigo Teresa there's many more to be mined from swords!
A review like only you can do them. lol!!!! Loved it.
+Blue Mountain Bushcraft and Outdoors thanks dude!
Love the jacket and hat
+Outpost 76 it's my TH-cam outfit!
For the sake of honesty, you should disclose the obvious stat-buffs that you where getting from your sweet threads. Also, everyone knows that you can raise the cap on your single-hand technique by equipping a neck-beard.
+Justin V hat... bought it at target years ago. Coat... my grandpas from the 70s. Ahh... does the neck beard have to be enchanted?
Ideally, yes: enchanted is always the best. However, if your'e on a budget or pressed for time, a pinch of flamin' hot Cheeto powder will do - the perk just doesn't last as long.

I wish my tactana had a sheath like this.
So you don't like the leather one?
Yea, me too.
Im w/ you. Idk who they made that for. 2lbs+ is a lot for a machete. A standard 1 handed medieval arming sword can be up to 3.5lbs or so. However they are balanced differently & not w/ nearly all the 2+ lbs at the very tip like an axe. Lol
Sarcasm + Innuendos = 2 awesome combos in 1 channel ;)
Thanks man!
Excellent video! One of the best so far. That is definitely a Back the fuck off Blade and although I would never spend that much on it because I am broke, it's still cool as shit. Rock on Knife Bro!

I thought you were going to throw the hat in the air and cut it with that El Salvadorian beast!

There are surely a few that think that they need it though.
Good headphone choice.

Good mostly for zombie head chopping. So it's definitely not useless, right?

Never mention those 2 things in the same comment again please 😒
more like a sword than a machete. nice.

I knew you were a ninja :)
+John Smith mall ninja... Chinese knockoff
Totally my new EDC, cause I am starting an all fresh coconut diet.
The footwear is all wrong here. Doesn't pair with the short and shirt, much less the coat. Could be intentional - given the lack of seriousness here. Buuut... I've a feeling it's not.
Anyway, love the review. That handle looks too skinny.
freaking awesome. but It looks like a Katana. So i guess Im into a Katana shopping this month.
Why not, right?
zombie tools review plz ;)
+kebindesu I'll look into it!
I will second this. I have two "knives" made by Zombie Tools, and while incredibly impractical for reality based purposes, they are, as ZT likes to say, a "fist full of fuck yeah!"
Dude, you made me laugh out loud.
Nice Duckman.
Who dis?
I hereby dub thee, Sir Advanced Knife Bro.

Bankai!
+thechugdude this guy knows ^^^^
At least you are wearing shoes this time...
+PowerMadHeadBanger shoulda went socks with sandals
outfit is hilarious. People will look weird at you and think you're an idiot if you unravel a 5 inch fixed blade, if you get this monstrosity out they'll run for their lives twice as fucking fast as they thought they could 5 min before that.
+don0giorgio it's a yard tool for insane people! I just threw on some stuff I had laying around.
nice looking bamboo in the yard btw, grows fast AF?
It’s a sword
