Pretty great reviews. What I like the most is that you describe the nuances of this SL. Owning a car is a LOT more than just the 0-60 and 1/4 mile stats (tell that to "Motor Trend"). Actually owning a car is about appreciating it's "personality" and how that car make you feel on a daily basis. It's good and it's bad points and how they translate into real world ownership.
You do a really good job of conveying how it would be to live with the SL.

One of the best reviews of an SL. These are very misunderstood cars, people confuse them with track weaponry as a 2 seater. But as you stated, an SL is about dominating interstates for long distances. 60-100mph is much more relevant.

Love the 2013 sl550...they are going in price because , bye,bye hard top...beautiful car and it feels so solid..refined..👍👍👍👍

I feel the same way about the difference between the 550 and 63 on how it feels. Somehow I want more power, but with same balance in the 550. The 63 is a tire shredder and definitely keeps you on your toes.
