From a lawn mower to motorcycle to a tractor in one episode , who could ask for more ! Thanks for the video Pete , always a pleasure from my end mate ! I would like to see compressor swap . 🌵
Hi Andrew, yes I had dishwashing liquid in the water. I probably should have mentioned that in the video. My bad! Ha ha! And yes I did check out other vid's on the subject, and had a good chat with Steve about it. There's lot's of different tricks & methods for these. Maybe should've gone a bit more 'in depth' with it?
An old GV150 honda engine . Needs the rewind mechanism oiled . Try to keep the old original Keihin carby if possible Pete . What detergent are you using in your ultrasonic tank ? 🌵
Hi Scott, I'll give the recoil some 'lovin' when I fit a new cord to it. I'm using normal dishwashing liquid with it. Someone else in the comments asked about this, so I probably should've said something. My bad!
Pete I've got a 580 and have watched all your work. I need some parts for mine but am not having any luck in Victoria. Any chance of a chat about where you get your stuff please? Tony
Hi Tony, thanks for watching. I was using a bloke called 'Horwood Wreckers' in Inverell (northern NSW). Unfortunately, he has just retired in the last couple of months and shut his business down. There is a tractor wrecker in SA that has one of these. I've just tried to look and I can't remember their name (I have a feeling it was 'Snowden Tractor wreckers' or something similar, but I can't find them on google). If I find something, I'll mention it on the channel, but I've looked extensively and can't find any construction equipment wreckers in Australia. Good luck!
@@pete-mate3524 Thanks Pete. I've worn my fingers out searching for 580 sk parts. If anyone's watching thi sand has a 580 being wrecked or know of a wrecker please let me know. Hopefully Pete is ok with making contact through his fantastic page.
@@TonyAustin-yv9th Hi Tony, try 'Griffiths Traders' in NSW (02) 6585 3833. I spoke with them today, they seem to be well stocked with new, aftermarket and 2nd hand parts. Good luck!
Pete, I hate to say but I think you overpaid for the lawnmower. We can pick them up for free off the curb here. Once I brought one home from the town recycling center where you can pickup what other people throw away. It was full of gas and started first pull but didn’t cut well. I checked underneath and they put a new blade on it backwards. Flipped the blade over and it worked great. Now if I can’t ride on the mower I don’t use it.
Well, Dang!! I've been ripped off! Ha ha!! Sounds like you got a good deal, though!! I also have a really good diesel ride on mower, but there's not enough of my yard left to justify using it!!
@@pete-mate3524 You see, you’re helping the environment by filling your yard so you don’t have to run that diesel lawnmower mower and aren’t trees good for the atmosphere even if they are unwanted ones. Bonus, you don’t have to use time mowing when you could be having fun fixing things. Sounds like a win all the way around!
Ha ha!! Just think, If I had done some irreparable damage, I would've wasted my ten bucks!! ....But it's more about the challenge of seeing if I can fix it!
Thanks for the video.
Thanks, I'm glad you like it!! :-)

Thanks for the feedback, Scott! I'll do a video on it, then. :-)
Love these episodes mate. Just started watching but probably the pilot jet in the carby, at this stage of the episode
Hi Steve. Yep, that was part of it. But you already know that by now, right? Ha ha.
@@pete-mate3524 yeah mate😅. I was going to comment at the end but I was cooking while watching and forgot
Hi. Pete. Perhaps some cleaning liquid in the ultrasonic cleaner will see better results. Perhaps watching some other peoples videos might help you.

Your extractor tool is probably right next to my gear puller😅
Ha ha! You still haven't found it yet? Surely it has to pop up soon! :-)
