Hey Pete mate another good vid. Good to tag along and watch the variety of work you get to participate in. Keep up the good work from Vancouver Island.
Hi mate just watched now. Too many segments to comment on. It’s a brilliant atmosphere there at the workshop, beautiful property. I love those jobs setting up engines and pumps. We’ve done a lot of it over the years, but now they buy professionally made ones with warranty. Backhoe is getting closer too. Great episode, thoroughly enjoyed it
Hi Pete, we’ve had way too much rain also and tired of cloudy days. Enough rain so crops in low areas drown out. I only know enough about snakes as to stay away from them although none in my area are venomous. Great video as with the collection of clips it gives a very good idea of your daily life. Sounds like your beautiful winter day would be a beautiful summer day here. As always, live life and enjoy it!
Mornin Pete . Our day started about 25c on its way about 45c today . But as we say , "it's a dry heat " 😳 When I was a kid , I could tell the brand of diesel engines of the time by the sound . Thanks to you and Steve I can now distinguish the sound of a Perkins 6-354 . I'm sure we had them here also , big not near as common as the Mack , Cummins and Detroits we had here. Hard to tell the new modern diesels , since they all have high pressure fuel systems and turbos now . Here is a question that I have thought about for the last week or so . Since you done the tyres on your loader. Why is it that the inside of the wheels do not rust far more than they do ? That old pump ran good and did its job perfectly mate . Was good to let work a little after a long rest . I agree with oldamericaniron on snakes. I just steer as clear as farI can from them. I agree , there was good variety in this video , keeps it interesting . Take care Pete , I will look forward to the next video . Scott 🌵

As a welder the ceramic strips were something I was unaware of. I have used thick copper strips to do the same thing though.
