This film is totally enjoyable and a rarity, a really good British musical. The songs are integrated in to the story and the cast could not have been better.
Sadly Una Stubbs died today - aged 84. How can she possibly be that old? Ridiculous! She is such a skinny young thing in the film. Very sad. Life IS very short after all. ;-(
He was a great guy. My parents purchase his house in whetstone near barnet He left his base guitar in the sound proof attic. He just got divorced from his wife They divorced in 69 right after their 2 yr old drowned in the fish pond in the back garden it was later filled with earth and I used to sit there sometimes at 11 yrs old feeling so bad knowing what happened. Poor guy Never know the grief famous people go through. My parents later sold the house to come to America What a mistake that was

I watched this a few months ago. It wasn't very good but it was a fun watch and Cliff wears some good outfits in it. I'm also kind of impressed that the film could include that gender-bending subplot and still be so stalwartly heterosexual
