Must be transmission season, just blew the transmission in my ST last Thursday night leaving work. Came to a stop, went to put it in 1st and SNAP! Lost all gear engagement, had to pop the hood, and manually flick the shifter arm into first and limp home. $3800 for a brand spanking new transmission, clutch and flywheel from Ford. I knew I should of stocked up on a fly wheel and clutch over the summer. Lol I feel ya on the breaking part brother.
You're good on the chatter; its because the fidanza flywheel is single mass rather than dual mass like OEM. Some people say it lessens over time like the motors mounts settling in "breaking in"; glad to see you up and running; need that motivation tonight to get past EVAP shield on the passenger side camber arm so I can get the adjustable ones on
Piece of advice brother, ive got a full ACT 6 puck clutch kit w/ streetlite flywheel so the chatter is crazy, just try to slowly release the clutch pedal after starting it or even stopping as aggressively letting it off makes that chatter immense
What kind off serpentine belt you use trying to change mine but idon't know what kind thinking edgeoutosport oem serpentine belt for my 2013 mazdaspeed
what mounts did you have on prior to the Damond? OEM? I've had the 3 corksports for over a year now and what a huge difference that made in how the vehicle actually drove & felt
how long did they take to break in? I put 500 miles on my 80a durometer JBRs and above 2600 rpm, the rearview mirror vibrates so much that it is borderline unusable
@@nathansu2530 oooof... Yea that's no good. Sounds like something else may be going on to cause that. You'll definitely feel the stiffness in upgraded mounts but you certainly shouldn't be getting that kind of serious vibrating
I just put a damond RMM in about 200kms ago, vibes have been pretty bad so far! hoping it settles down alot more, first 3 gears feel awful at low speeds
Man my speed finally blew up a couple weeks ago my advice unless ur a mechanic or dont give 0 fucks about $$ cut your losses and sell before the engine blows like on mine sad truth
