I feel like a lot of issues are because noone does what Smeedia does. Buy a car, inspect it. Rebuild and replace EVERYTHING important because you cant trust what someone else sold you

My first car I bought was a white 2012 speed 3 with only 98k miles a few weeks back. It was my first time driving manual and it wasn’t too bad. It has a cai, cs exhaust & hks bpv when I bought it. I drove 5 hours there and friend drove the car 5 hours back. It made it on nasty oil. My only mods I’ve added in the first couple weeks since ive bought it was hpfp internals and ngk 8737 spark plugs. Gonna get an accessport & tune next then add a catch can, egr delete, valve cleaning and new injectors with over speed seals My mechanic homie does all the work and his brother used to have a speed 3 that he built back when the 2nd gen’s came out. He said his brother bought a new one for $34k when they came out!

I was like you when I got my first one from the dealer. I got lucky though it was taken care of and had the pump with an intake. I'm wanting to trade my 2021 3 on for another speed I found at a dealer this Friday. I'm excited I miss this car. Can't find them low miles these days, mostly looking to cut my car payment in half.

If you're losing to a frs/ brz in an ms3 you're one of the worst drivers the frs/ brz are slow ASF and the golf-r and Ford st and even a civic type r are all slow the civic type r runs slower than a prelude if you're losing to them the cars not the problem bro you are. Smfh

For your transmission fluid did you use MT-90 or 75w-90? I’m just asking because the MT IS GL-4 and the 75w is GL-5.

I have a 2012 speed3 with a cobb intake and cobb tuner and I had it on stage 1 with no high pressure fuel pump internals and I beat that thing ever time I touched the gas lol, and ir did blow up after about 80,000km, fun car, but like you said upgrades are expensive and it is annoying how finicky they are
