Just one thing: I just read this in the MSFS Forum: Just a quick heads up to anyone using Simbrief and wanting to load the data into the ATR FMC. The Aerosoft CRJ data format is NOT QUITE the same as the one the ATR uses which means that the Approach and anythin0g after it can’t be loaded into the flight plan. The problem is the RwyArrFINAL value. The CRJ data format has a value like “RwyArrFINAL=I15” but the ATR expects a value like “RwyArrFINAL=ILS15” and when it gets the CRJ version it stops loading the data into the flight plan. (Similarly the ATR is expecting RNVxx for an RNAV approach and LOCxx for a Localiser approach) You can test this by manually creating a plan in the ATR FMC then using the same option on the Main menu to write it out the same directory you load the flight plan from. You can then compare the contents of this file an equivalent CRJ file exported from simbrief. This probably can’t be properly fixed till Navigraph create an ATR specific export option but until then it is easy to edit the CRJ files after export and change the Approach to the correct value

Currently, all you need to do now is load your simbrief ID into the FMS and it will pull it from there once you generate a flight plan on the website. It's pretty great!
Cool. I couldn't understand why the 737Driver wasn't just importing the Flt Pln from Sim Brief. In the 737 we didn't regularly use a manual waypoint by waypoint loading of the FMC. We directly imported it from the dispatch flight plan, and this method is doing the same thing. I knew there had to be a way to do this.
Why is it not possible to use the (automatic) flightplans from within the game with the ATR? If I select a route for other planes or helicopter in the menu of the game, its all there ready to fly when I start the flight.
When I import the FPL like this I can't change the runway on my destination airport, in case I get redirected by ATC. The list of available approaches is empty then.

Mark, the folder path you specifiy does not exist in the Steam version of MSFS. I looked in appdata\%myuser%\Local\Packages\ but cant see a Microsoft Flightsimulator_folder. Do you have a fix for this?
@@SimHangerFS , I did use the SimBrief downloader as you suggest to generate the specific, correctly composed, plan file for the ATR , but the absence of the correct C:drive path presumably prevented this being found by MSFS. It seems in the situation where your MSFS version is that from Steam, and you have installed MSFS on a drive other than the C:drive, the required path to the Microsoft.flightsimulator you mention is absent. As a result, the plan file eg. KMGWKPNE.flp from the downloader is not found by MSFS. I cant yet find anyone who has solved this specific problem. Was hoping you might have a solution to this??
So it works but it doesn't work for this aircraft. The ATR FMS has a big that won't load airways or flight plans completely and when you try to load the airways manually it royaly screws it up.

So I gave it a try and pointed the Simbrief's Downloader additional CRJ import folder location to: C:\Users\myusername\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\microsoft-aircraft-atr\work and it works just fine! Due to the known approach issues, I edit the "new destination" entry and arrival/approach procedures within the MCDU while enroute. No problrems so far...
It may be a little too early in the morning for my brain to work properly - but I can't find the download option for the Asobo/Hartmann ATR yet.... My Simbrief Downloader is on current version 1.6.4, working just fine with the CRJ and PMDG, and I do have the dedicated Asobo ATR airframe profiles added to the main Simbrief planning interface. Am I missing something? 🤔

Navigraph did create one specifically for the ATR! It should be listed in the Downloader now.

The ATR is using non-standard LVARS for some of the functions, not the default FS bindings.

SimBrief has actually added a new option "Microsoft ATR 42/72" in the list of versions to download the flight plan!
It messed up your transition I noticed and put it in the via instead.

You have to launch the game and do a flight with the plane so that it creates the files.

Best way now is to use the Navigraph SimBrief downloader (free).

It does work, but leaves out the STAR regrettably, as you saw I had to enter it manually. Hopefully Navigraph will sort this out asap.
