I bought one a few months ago for 300,it was a 93, bout it not running and after I gave him cash I started it and drove it on the truck,they are the best bike ever,its powerful,fast and can take a hit,only cons is they have delay for clutch engagement at times and steering is squirly when ya let of gas,but for 750 its a great bike
*ANYONE HELP!?* So I just got my son a 2001 bayou 220 but it didnt come with the dash cluster that has the neutral and reverse (I believe reverse) lights on it. I ordered one but I'm not sure exactly how it hooks up. It has 2 wires coming off of it so should there just be 2 wires down under the handle bars somewhere that they should connect to? I havent had a chance to look at it as it's up at my parents since they have much more land than I do. Any help, tips or advice is greatly appreciated! It seems easy enough so I could be over thinking it but any help definitely helps!
Idk how fast my timberwolf is, but my DB-17 is faster for sure. Heck, I think my little TaoTao scooter might be faster than it. I might hop on my timberwolf tomorrow to see if I can find any debris from a nearby EF-3 tornado that struck half a mile away.
Nice I had a bayou 400 she was a beast and fast for a utility quad my Suzuki Quad Runner 250 gives her a run for it's money just picked up a Can Am Rally 200 for $200
I'm going to pick one of these up in the next week or two for $400! Petcock is broken off of fuel tank but otherwise its a good runner. I figure I can ebay a used tank for a couple bucks.
@@RYANINBODEN1547 the whole tank was so dry rotted it was fractured all over the place! I threw it out and bought a universal 1.5 gal tank that I will mount up.
Nice ride! I have one also..can’t kill it! “Isn’t as stable as a dirt bike”? What’s that mean? I mean it has 4 wheels..much more stable than a bike, it’s all about learning how to ride properly :)

Today I just picked up a 1991 220cc bayou pre snorkeled the guy wanted $1000 but I got it fo only $700 I wasn’t expecting it to be a 4 stroke its been great so far runs great he had just gotten new tires about 2 years ago and ran them for about 2 weeks the got a new four wheeler so it sat. Though I do agree at first the shifting is weird I’m used to using a simi automatic or a full auto but wants I got used to it fine my top speed on it is about 44 mph.
sweet dude sounds like a good find. Currently I took mine apart down to the frame and engine. I'm working on fixing the electric start and most likely going to put a new piston and seals in.
@@Bataha i couldnt get my start button to work even after shorting the contacts, so i just wired in a button from amazon and spliced it into the wiring from the starter solenoid. works perfect now

Manuel Burciaga it really depends where you live. Check Facebook marketplace and Craigslist for stuff in your area and see how much other people are selling theirs for. Then base your price off that.

Got mine for about 950, Damn thing is a tank. Have since changed the spark plug, the battery and the oil. Getting new tires for it later this month.

They last for ever mine sat out in a field neglected for like 2 years and we put just a new battery in and it still runs like a damn thoroughbred

We had 2003 Kawasaki Bayou 250 for work but got rid of it and got a 2018 Polaris Sportsman 570 Utility Edition
I am looking at a 2002 for $800 so maybe it runs as good as this one I might go for it

Have you ridden a dirt bike? 4 wheelers are less stable. They are more dangerous and easier to flip. Harder to control at high speeds.
I don’t like dirt bikes but I’d rather ride one of those than a three wheeler I think I’ll stick to a four wheeler though

cram god nice, my electric start works but it won’t stop cranking after you hook up the battery I think the relay is bad.
Bataha try tapping it with a screwdriver or something it’s prob just stuck closed, regardless thoes are $10 on eBay
