Hey man it sounds like your clutch is slippin some when you give it gas it looks like it kinda is slippin might want to fix that it could eat up your clutch pads
1st think about upgrading your tires from the all terrain to some mud terrain like kenda bearclaws 2nd that wasn't smoke it was water evaporating off the engine/exhaust If you do a lot of mud riding its worth the upgrade and doesn't cost to much for the tires only thing that sucks if u just bought new tires
D Ram Yeah i dont do a lot of mud riding, it just rained a bunch and that was just a one time thing. Most of the time i’m just riding around in the yard so i don’t think i’ll get mudding tires. Thanks for the advice though!
Poor 4 wheeler I'm a certified mechanic and drive 4 wheelers 6 times a week for the past 5 years you have vary bad valve tick or piston tick and that poor clutch it's slipping vary bad I drive lots of those bayou 220 250 300 vary bad clutch slip you motor and clutch fucked!!
Mega mind Mega mind most of the time it's the chain getting old and stretch slaping around I seen tons of old Kawasaki make that noise and as soon as you check the valves there in spec or a hair off.. I stop checking the valve spec on my ATVs cause everytime I check there with in spec it's rare I adjust them
I agree with the mechanic. And its a shaft drive so there goes your chain slapping diagnosis. Very fortunate to have a mechanic of these things weigh in . And you discount his advise, ?? If you had five years of wrenching on these, then you can express your opinion with the man that knows what he's talking about. I know he is right about the clutch slipping. Because mine was too and I read the manual and adjusted my clutch and it is much better now. So I don't hear the tick but I trust there is one since the mechanic said so. He probably doesn't speak much because of this kind of disregard.
That “smoke” is just steam from water touching the hot engine.
i have a kawaski bayou 250 and its the best four wheeler a kid could ask for
I have that same quad there awesome
I have some like that quad but it's a 220 bayou there tuff quads
Also consider adding a winch for trail/mud riding it will save u one day
Heck the winch is worth it if u don't want to replace the tires til later
D Ram I might get one now that you mention that. It might save me or one of my friends one day. Thanks again for the advice!
I love how his dog attacks his fourwheeler just like mine does
I have that quad to,it’s awesome and it’s good for doing donuts
there good quads in water had mine over the plastics last year *klf 300* and it loved it
My bayou 220 ran crappy, wouldn't idle like yours. Installed chinese carb of ebay for $20 and it runs like new now. You got nice property there
Thanks! I’ve never had good experience with chinese carbs lol but that’s awesome for you!
@@cqoutdoors2103 I did have to rejet it with the factory jets from the original carb. The chinese carb jets that were installed were too small
Hey man it sounds like your clutch is slippin some when you give it gas it looks like it kinda is slippin might want to fix that it could eat up your clutch pads
